No hassle check-in, beautiful and very quiet area – especially considering the short drive to main attractions and museums. There are a few restaurants and breakfast stops within walking distance which was great before or after a long day of exploring. Host was very responsive and pro-active in making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Coffee and tea were provided as well as everything needed to cook a full meal. Would stay here again!

The Home Sweet City team put a lot of care and pride themselves in hospitality and it shows! They were very proactive and responsive and worked with me to find reasonable accommodations for my food allergies. I appreciated their partnership and commitments to keeping this space clean and ensuring my stay was as calm as possible. They thought of everything including having a couple of light weights and a yoga mat on site which was a nice surprise. Their property guide answers many questions, and I love that they also included nearby hospitals since that’s something I always have to consider when I travel in case I need medical care. Thank you again for everything and such a pleasant stay.

My second time with them while in DC. It’s just so practical, worth it and hosts are easy going. Bed is so comfy and kitchen has it all!

We had a lovely stay at this very clean and accurately described Noma apartment. The location is fantastic—an easy walk to the Capitol, historic areas, great restaurants, shops, and the Metro. As expected for a basement unit in this area, you can hear light footsteps from above, but nothing was ever loud or disruptive, and we slept well. We did have one snafu with the parking permit, as the initial code was incorrect and it took over 24 hours to get the car properly registered, which made us a bit anxious at first, but everything worked out fine. One helpful note: you enter the unit through one of the two bedrooms, which is worth keeping in mind if guests have different sleep schedules. Overall, it was a pleasant, comfortable stay, and we would happily return.

We had a great stay! The management team was very responsive and quick to answer any questions we had. Parking was easy because it wasn’t the time for street sweeping. Would recommend.

Charm and character in a great location, this brick carriage house was only a few blocks away from a dozen restaurants and Whole Foods, making it easy to settle in. I loved the second-floor bedroom suite with beautiful views of the surrounding historical street. While the place doesn’t have a stovetop or oven, the excellent coffee station and toaster oven was all I needed for a couple days in town for work. I would certainly stay again!

The home was exactly as depicted in the listing. It is small and comfortable, in a quiet neighborhood, close to a Main Street with lots of restaurants. I was there for three weeks and was a regular at Whole Foods, about an 8 minute walk. I walked the half hour to the capital district regularly, which is 8-10 minutes by car. In the home, everything worked and the fridge was full sized. The stacked washer/dryer is tight (watch your head!) but functional. The remote for the heater has a hidden slide-away cover for the controls (I downloaded the manual to figure that out). I had a couple of questions during my stay, and the hosts were super responsive over the AirBnB app messaging/email system. I didn’t have a car so I can’t comment on parking. Overall, the property was perfect for me and I recommend both the property and the hosts!

We stayed here about two months ago when we moved our daughter to DC for an internship, and we came back to move her home again. This is a very convenient location for the museums and other attractions, while still feeling very private and quiet. The parking pass is a great amenity for the area, and since it’s so walkable and convenient, we mostly parked and didn’t use the car. The Metro is just a few blocks either direction, there are a few restaurants nearby but not much that’s very close. The accommodations are spotless, quiet, secure, beautiful, and the hosts are fantastic. Obviously, it was so nice that we came back to the same place again, and we will try to stay here again when we get back to DC! We recommend visiting Eastern Market on a Saturday morning. It’s just a 10-15 minute walk.

We loved this apartment! It had everything we needed, and more. I particularly loved the well stocked kitchen (on top of standard stuff like plates and bowls it even had a blender, cocktail mixing stuff, casserol dishes, potato masher, kids plates and cups, sharp knives etc.). Also we very much enjoyed the kids games, the big couch, the fluffy towels and easy parking. Thanks so much!

I loved this place and wish I could have stayed longer. Very well laid out and in a great location. The whole place was clean and modern and easy to feel at home. Host company was super easy to deal with and responsive. The off street parking was a huge bonus. Would highly recommend and I would definitely return.

We had such a great stay! The place was exactly as described—but honestly, it’s even better in person. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the cotton sheets were a chef’s kiss moment (iykyk). Plenty of pillows and fluffy down comforters that made it very hard to get up in the morning. Even though the space is on the smaller side, the layout is so smart that it actually feels surprisingly spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed—perfect for warming leftovers and even making a full meal one night. The neighborhood is super convenient too: restaurants, stores, and everything you could need are just steps away. It’s walking distance to several sights, and only a short drive to the museums, the White House, and the zoo. The place was spotless when we arrived, which we really appreciated. The only downside, totally outside the host’s control—is that the upstairs neighbors can get a little loud at times. But it wasn’t enough to take away from our overall experience. Great stay!

I absolutely LOVED the location of this listing! It’s so convenient to access all of the main attractions of D.C. plus it is close to restaurants and grocery stores in the neighborhood. It was safe and clean which is exactly what we needed during this trip. Loved this place and would recommend to anyone!

What a lovely home in a great location! Our kids loved the books and toys, while we appreciated the proximity to H Street, Union Station, and the Capitol. The house was comfortable and well equipped.

It was a great stay. Everything was very good. Slightly smaller than photos and there is a bit noise from hvac and running water. Highly recommended.

This house was a great place for our vacation. It was easy to get downtown, via bus or metro and there were convenient shopping options nearby. The washer and dryer was also a big plus!

Outstanding accommodations. The bed was so comfortable and the bedding was soft and awesome . The whole place was perfectly appointed. Shower was spa-like and kitchen was clean and equipped. The neighborhood is ideal. I sat in the cute outdoor patio one evening and easily walked to H street for meals. The host was responsive and gracious.

My second stay at this gem of a Carriage House in Shaw! The two floors gives you a sense of separation and space between the living and bedroom portions of the place. You have a metro entrance a few blocks away.

My family and I feel like home .the place its charming peaceful and gives you the experience like you live in DC.

This was a perfect place for our family to gather for Thanksgiving. Six of us (two grandparents, two parents, two kids) stayed in the house, and our local DC family of four, who live nearby, joined us for many meals. The kitchen is well-equipped, making our Thanksgiving prep easy. The downstairs living room meant our kids could play together while the adults were in the upstairs living room. The house is bright, the neighbors are friendly, the street is quiet, street parking was always available. There are good local restaurants, coffee shops, a book shop, library, and a walkable Metro stop. We loved our stay.

The space was modern and uncluttered, and felt very upscale. even though it was downstairs-it didn’t feel like that .There was a good amount of light, It felt spacious and airy! We really enjoyed the fireplace and appreciated the delicious coffee the hosts provided. The neighborhood was quiet, there were some restaurants and coffee places within walking distance. The location made it easy to get to lots of other places in DC. Michelle was quickly responsive with the few questions I had. Easy to communicate with. We highly recommend, It was a great stay.

Positive: The location was great for me. I was traveling by train. And liked being within easy walking distance to the Capitol. Negative: At first, it felt a little anonymous, since I hadn’t had a person to communicate with ahead of time. But when I arrived and rang the bell, the owner came right out and was very helpful.

The accommodation was clean attractive and well equipped. Location was super. Heating system is run through aluminum ducts which run directly over the bed although hidden but contract and expand during heating and cooling phases. The noise created was annoying and did interrupt sleep. Don’t know how it could be corrected but this was the only negative about the facility.

My first visit to Washington D.C. was spent here, honestly I had an amazing stay. Everything was exactly how it was in the photos. The area was peaceful but it was also crazy close to areas that were bustling a little more. Guest support was excellent. When a small mechanical adjustment was needed, the representative was there immediately and solved the issue efficiently. I particularly enjoyed the location on a quiet corner which allows great sunlight and an added sense of spaciousness.

Excellent location. Plenty of space, comfortable beds, and all of the amenities we needed were available. The only issue was the living space. We had 6 staying there, but the two common areas accommodated 3-5 people max, and the small couches aren’t very comfortable. If you wanted to watch a movie as a group, you’d have to sit on the floor or chairs.

Awesome location. Metro red-line is only a 10 minute walk away (15 if you take it slow). Accommodations were very comfortable. We had everything we needed here. Plenty of restaurants nearby and grocery stores within walking distance.

The stay was wonderful, and the carriage house had everything I wanted and more, including some nice touches like a white noise machine for sleeping, a clothing rack for outfits, and a space heater for when the nights got colder! Michelle and Alex were very attentive and even came in the middle of the night to fix the fire alarm when it started beeping randomly. The location is within walking distance of the conference centre and many delicious restaurants and was a peaceful refuge. The neighbourhood itself is safe. Would highly recommend!

Our stay here was wonderful and the house is in such nice condition and beautifully decorated. Truly felt you were staying in a friend’s house instead of a cold rental. Please note the pack n play is a rental that costs money and we had a quick issue where it had not been delivered but Michelle was super responsive and quick to get it delivered ASAP which was so appreciated! We had a lovely stay and are excited to book again on our next trip to DC!
