very nice place host was very proactive and making sure we knew it was in our area. What we could do around us very very helpful very easy check-in and check out. I would say the only issue would be the parking and that’s not their fault at all.

Great location, close to all the main attractions. The place was clean, comfortable, and perfect for our family. The only minor issue was the mosquitoes, but the host provided mosquito repellent devices and bug spray. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend it.

We traveled from Florida to DC to see our daughter perform at her summer ballet intensive at The Washington Ballet. It was a total of 7 guests and we were all very comfortable and were so happy to see all the extra kitchen amenities. We were able to cook many meals in this roomy kitchen. Very clean space and the host was very attentive to any questions I may have had. Definitely consider bus & metro to get around the area. There is great public transportation in DC. Overall experience is 10/10.

My partner and I frequently go to DC for long weekends. This is by far 1 of my top 3 favorite airbnbs in the city. Amazing neighborhood, fabulous host, great restaurants and energy.

This BnB was in the perfect location to serve as a home base for exploring DC! Minutes from Union Station and the National Mall, it was easy to get anywhere we wanted in the city. Plus, Petworth has numerous local restaurants so we didn’t have to travel anywhere to grab a delicious bite. The space was clean and tidy and perfect for a family of three. Lara is an excellent communicator and we had everything we needed for our stay.

Lara’s place was beautiful and so comfortable in fabulous Mt Pleasant. Very walkable to some of DC’s best restaurants. Lara and her team were so responsive when I had questions and such great hosts! Thanks for a wonderful stay. I hope to be back again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Whimsical Cottage. The short 7 minute walk to the DC metro was very convenient. The neighborhood was very nice and safe and parking was easy.

This was our 3rd trip to DC, and this was by far the best place we have ever stayed in. Perfectly located in Georgetown, beautiful home and the benefit of the garage. I won’t stay anywhere else in future and highly recommend this property.

Great location and communication with host was very easy.

Location location location. Located on a beautiful street. 5 min walk to restaurants. The place was comfortable, had everything we needed, including water and dryer. If you are willing to walk, we did walk to the White House, the national mall, Lincoln memorial – very doable. Nice touches in the unit, including AC in each area, nice kitchen, comfortable pull out bed. Great and responsive people. Enjoyed our stay very much.

This is a perfect location and the private parking spot was especially appreciated. You can’t beat the neighborhood—you’re steps away from 14th Street, U Street, and all the perks of Dupont and Logan Circle. The space itself was clean and well maintained. Overall, I’d stay here again.

We had a great stay for our Anniversary! It was extremely easy to move about the city with Eastern Market Metro being so close. The neighborhood restaurants are wonderful. All the communication made for an easy stay. Highly recommend!

It was a great stay comfortable everything we needed for our weekend down there. Great shower and had a brita ready to filter the city water it was really nice.

We had a great stay! The bathroom and shower are a bit tight, but that’s just a function of being in a historic neighborhood. It was a very comfy place to be for a few days, and the location is ideal

Having a grocery store just 2 minutes walk away was also a huge plus it made it easy to grab anything I needed without going out of my way. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war freundlich, schnell und reibungslos. Auch die Sauberkeit in der Wohnung war einwandfrei. Ein zentraler Punkt für unseren Punktabzug ist jedoch, dass sich die Unterkunft im Keller befindet Das hatte für uns nicht die erhoffte Gemütlichkeit und Lichtverhältnisse. Wer damit kein Problem hat, findet hier allerdings einen wirklich guten Ausgangspunkt, um die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt zu erkunden. Für einen kurzen Trip ganz okay, aber für uns persönlich hat der Wohlfühlfaktor wegen der Kellerlage gefehlt.

Our second DC stay with Home Sweet City and another great experience! The rental was clean and cozy…loved the cool AC in the HOT days we had! Comfy beds and walkable to many restaurants (as well as our daughter’s new apartment which is so convenient!). Parking spot in back also an added value! We love the English basement rental units!

Absolutely loved the place! The decor was impeccable, made us feel right at home. All the amenities were also very nice. We greatly enjoyed our time here. Was on a quiet street.

The beds were very comfortable, and the linens were soft and cozy. The airbnb had a full equipped kitchen and every bathroom had what you would need to be comfortable. Check-in was seamless, and having a dedicated parking spot was a huge bonus. We’d absolutely recommend staying here and would happily book again!

Location. Comfort. Cleanliness. This Airbnb checks literally all boxes in my Airbnb experience. I absolutely LOVED where it is located. If you’re into running or long walks, the Lincoln Memorial is just down 21st street. I would walk up, walk out the front door and run down to the National Mall. The beds were super comfortable. I can’t say enough about how great this place was. The kitchen is a bit on the smaller side (one or two people at a time) but was well equipped and stocked. We still loved it.

Wonderful stay and great location. Place was quiet and offered all the amenities plus some that you would expect from a rental stay.

This is a historic home in the Bloomingdale neighborhood of DC. It is a neighborhood close to downtown DC, but also very convenient by car or Metro to Maryland, Arlington and Alexandria. This is neighborhood that has improved – much for the greater – over the past twenty years or so. The house looks like a historic mansion. There is ample space for eating, relaxing, sleeping, and working. There are several places for working. I chose a desk in the main bedroom, which had a nice view of the streets below. Great people watching when taking work breaks. Needless to say, the house was squeaky clean. The area was safe and very quiet. The host is very communicative. Overall, I would highly recommend.

Pros: Lovely home, great neighborhood, lots of space inside & very comfortable. Great area to walk or grab scooters and bikes and be near anything touristy. Close to transit. Beds were comfy! Cons: Some noise upstairs but that was expected and easily managed with a background noise app, but if someone were more sensitive, this could be tough. Cleaners were in the home at check in, despite arriving well after check in time, so we had to wait to use the home. They said they didn’t have anyone scheduled to check in, so I’m not sure where the breakdown was there. No sheets were available for the person who needed to sleep on the couch, nor pillow cases for the extra pillows that we found in the closets for them. We made do with blankets and shared pillows from the beds, but those would have been handy to have available. Lastly, we couldn’t get the wifi to stay connected.

Lara’s place was just what I needed. It was an easy walk to the Metro and stores. Everything was easy to get to. The accommodations were just what I needed. I loved it. Thank you for allowing me to stay there.

Lara was great and the apartment was just what we needed. I have high standards when it comes to cleanliness, and this AirB&B met them. We loved the wine bar below it and the area in general. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

Location was exactly as pictured. Sheets and towels very clean. Kitchen well stocked. Water pipes a little noisy. I was glad I purchased a parking spot. Safeway and Wendy’s steps away, Metro 2 blocks away—very convenient.

Great apartment. Very close to shops at Cleveland Park and metro and to a Rock Creek park entrance. Main bedroom has a nice balcony that I didn’t expect. The second room is a bit small, but it was ok for my boys. Kitchen is well stocked.

Ummm, can we move in? This place was over the top! Totally immaculate, (on ALL accounts) up to date on decor, fantastic lighting throughout unit, (all lights on dimmers) AC was amazing, fresh, white linens and stocked w/ local coffees, teas, lotion, soaps, shampoo/conditioner. The Airbnb had extra kitchen-trash bags, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, plenty of extra bedding and towels. What else did I forget? Oh yeah, easy parking right in front! No issues at all,—-came & went w/ the car a few times and there was always a parking spot available. (right in front) We walked everywhere….1.5 miles to capital! Super easy. Truly exceptional place to stay. We will definitely book w/ Lara again….just don’t take the days that we want! 😉 TY for a phenomenal- comfortable stay Lara, you know what you’re doing!
