My family of five was very happy with our stay. The home was just as described, very clean and in a walkable neighborhood. We had a great visit!

I’m so impressed with this house and the host! They were amazing to work with and communicated quickly and with much kindness. We had an issue with the toilet in the primary bathroom our first night and they worked quickly to resolve it. In the process, they were very helpful offering tips and ideas to solve the issue. They had a supervisor out first thing the next morning and a plumber came when that solution didn’t work out. They were generous to us in the way they both fixed the issue and in the way they handled our entire stay. The way they helped was very kind.
The house is beautiful! It’s a historic piece of DC. The first floor felt like home and the bedrooms/bathrooms were incredibly nice. Great kitchen and back patio. Amazing and spacious dining room for hanging out. Great living room for relaxing after a long day of exploring the city. This place is great and we’ll stay here again if we come back to explore DC!

I’m so impressed with this house and the host! They were amazing to work with and communicated quickly and with much kindness. What a great place to stay while visiting. Felt very safe. Close to restaurants, etc. Beautiful home, exactly as described. Easy to get to national mall area. Would definitely recommend!

Great stay for our family. Not far from the Capitol and Mall. Union Station is an easy walk for food/trains and there are also local places nearby as well as Whole Foods (all walking distance). We had a problem with a broken doorknob and the owner had it fixed immediately the day we notified them. Overall, really cool neighborhood and townhouse to feel a part of DC for the week.

Really nice and clean two level home. Well situated on peaceful tree lined street. Great air conditioning which was much appreciated on hot July days. The layout worked very well for our family with pre teen kids. Very nicely decorated to feel like you are at home.

Very happy with the host and house. location was great for access to the monuments and was very walkable/safe. If we are back in DC then this place will be on the top of our list.

Amazing stay. Feels just like a home, as others have said. Area very comfortable, safe. Walkable to some little/big box groceries. Well appointed spaces and lots of little touches provided like coffee. Air conditioning in bedrooms via mini splits was excellent. One of our best Airbnb stays on record. Does not disappoint.

The location is wonderful, the house is very comfortable and the backyard was perfect for Sunday breakfast for our family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This home is in a beautiful, historic neighborhood, which seems to have been built out around the turn of the century. It is only about a half mile from Union Station and not much farther to the Capital and the Mall. The house was very clean and charming. Be aware that there is a steep flight of stairs (16 stairs to be exact) to get upstairs to the bedrooms. So make sure you are able to haul your suitcases up there and the 10 or so front steps. The house was very comfortable with adjustable A/C and nice beds. I really liked the office area so I could do a bit of work undisturbed. This is a house you could stay for a while with plenty of storage!
A few blocks away is H street with restaurants, shopping and a free trolly that runs along the street.
We had rented a car and used Spot Hero to find a nearby parking spot, but actually we were able to find a parking spot on the street most of the time and never got a ticket (but that is risky). I would recommend this house!

We had a wonderful stay with our family. Grandparents, parents, a toddler and baby all had very comfortable spaces to sleep. It’s a quiet neighborhood, easy to park and extremely walkable. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay at Home Sweet City! The home was absolutely perfect for our needs—warm, welcoming, and full of charm. Unlike some of the more sterile places we’ve stayed, this one truly felt like a home. It was squeaky clean, beautifully appointed, and thoughtfully stocked with all the basics we needed. The host was incredibly responsive, often replying within moments of our requests. This home made what was a personally difficult weekend so much more comfortable and manageable. We’re so grateful and would absolutely stay here again.

Location was amazing and perfect for our family of 5. We love to cycle so all the bike decor made it fun. The neighborhood is great and we felt very safe.

We were sight-seeing for a few days with our in-laws and son and everyone had a great time. We all really appreciated how comfortable the place was and it felt great to come back to and relax in after a long day of walking around the city. We ordered in food one evening and the kitchen was well stocked and very convenient for heating up leftovers or even making our son some pasta since he’s a picky eater. I would definitely consider booking here again if we’re ever visiting DC again, especially with extended family.

The location is great! It is very walkable to various tourist sites, markets and restaurants. The space was perfect and we felt right at home. Communication with the host was easy and they were very responsive. I plan on coming back again!

Beautiful home right where you want to be in DC. Everything you need in the way of amenities was provided. We stayed during the 2025 Inauguration and after days of walking, standing out in the weather and excitement it was always a relief to come home to warmth and convenience. Response time from our hosts was always lightening quick when we had a question or needed something. The six of us were very comfortable with plenty of space to spread out.

Amazing place. Great location. We were there during the 1/6/25 snowstorm. House was warm. You can tell the owner is an interesting person from the decorations. We had 6 adults for a few days and the kitchen was very functional. The large dining room table made it easy to gather and play games. Back yard would be great in the spring or fall. House was the perfect fit for our family.

Gorgeous house! The beds were very comfortable and the place was spotless. Loved the decor and the couch is to die for!! Lovely little outdoor space as well. The kitchen was very well appointed. Would 100% stay here again! 5 people fit very comfortably here.

We had a wonderful stay at Home Sweet City. The house and neighborhood are so cute. Easy walk to the Capitol and east end of mall, dinner, grocery and drug store. We loved our time there.

We stayed with here with our toddler and infant and it was a very comfortable stay. The kitchen has everything you’d need. The toiletaries were great. The towels were plush – it was like a hotel stay but with comforts of a home. 10/10 would stay again!

The place is fantastic, very quiet neighborhood with easy access to public transportation and easy to park your own car on the street. The house was cozy and very clean. Kitchen well equipped with initial supplies to give you a good landing.
Supermarket and small convenience stores at walking distance so the experience was like being home.

The Place was very cozy and homey. We love the cleanliness of it. The house was very organized and designed very cutesy. I would recommend it to everybody and for sure I will be staying here again.

We loved staying at this townhouse on a leafy street in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Very stylishly decorated with a comfy living room and sofa overlooking the street at the front of the house, and a great well appointed kitchen at the back of the house overlooking the garden. The bedrooms are all upstairs; the primary front bedroom is huge with a king sized bed and really comfy linens. The bathrooms were stylishly updated and hotel quality fixtures. This place was the perfect mix between home and luxury, would absolutely stay again.

Our family had a great stay – the instructions were clear, the home is beautiful and clean, it’s easy to park, and our hosts were incredibly responsive. The only issue was that the shower door fell out suddenly, which was concerning as we have little kids. We were fine and our hosts responded right away even at 10pm or so, and offered to fix it the next day, so that was much appreciated. We understand that these things happen though, so would just recommend a more thorough check going forward, and we’re happy to come back another time!

We had a wonderful stay with our family! We came for work and used to live/work in the area. It completely matched the descriptions, very clean, ample supplies, comfortable beds (including the pullout!), and plenty of space for all of us. It was terrific. Will stay again. It definitely is a bit of a walk from the Mall but in terms of Eastern Market, Union Station area, US Capitol, and some of the closer Smithsonians and musuems, it is not bad at all. Near Whole foods and plenty of coffee spots.

Excellent location for spending a few days in Washington D.C. Within walking distance of Union Station and the Capital. The house is tastefully done and gives the experience of living in a Washington D.C. row house. There were three of us and with two full and one half-bath plus well designed kitchen/dining/living room it was plenty roomy and comfortable. Overall we were very pleased. Only negative is that street parking is required, but we were able to find a spot right across the street and had no issues. I would recommend this location to anyone visiting Washington D.C. and wanting to experience the city life.

Location was great for all sights in the city. We did end up getting Ubers too a couple of times and that was very easy too. The house was spotless and stylish with everything we could need. AC worked perfectly, which was great as it was very hot when we were there. Close to a Whole Foods and a little local shops for necessities on the corner. Beds were comfy and bedding and towels were all good.
Overall, this may be the best Airbnb we have stayed in! Will definitely be back if we are in DC again.

We loved our stay here and would definitely choose this rental again.
This townhouse has ample space and is spotless. The closets were empty, but based on how well stocked the kitchen is with high end cookware and spices, the owners must have plans to use this place occasionally.
The beds: There are three bedrooms. I was concerned that since one of the bedrooms has a fold out couch, my kids would be competing for the room with a regular queen bed. But the sofa bed is new and has high quality fold out mattress. It also has a thick soft bamboo mattress cover. My son was very happy and and comfortable.
The master bedroom has a quality king mattress that is very firm. It is perfect for back sleepers.
The location is close to everything. But we did use rideshares for most our trips since the temperatures were in the high 90s.
We’d also recommend Harris Teeter grocery delivery.
