Great spot in Washington Dc. Easy walk from train station. Very eclectic and relaxed home. Individual “mini-splits” in bedroom was welcomed as it’s really hot and humid outside. Stairs are very creaky so worked as alarm clock to get kids up and moving each morning. Loved the bike theme as we biked everywhere in DC.

This was an idyllic place to stay, the communication was excellent and hosts were so helpful throughout. Beautifully private with a gorgeous and peaceful patio to relax in but also convenient for buses in any direction, as well as shops and restaurants within walking distance. Clean bathrooms, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, just about everything you could want.

This was a great location and great place to stay. It was a little steep for our budget, but worth the extra expense for a comfortable, convenient, quiet, safe, clean, and well equipped place to stay. Parking was easy to find on the block and the host was able to share a visitor code so parking didn’t cost us anything.

Great location! Responsive hosts, updated bathrooms and fully equipped kitchen.

A lovely 2-story townhouse with private back courtyard Stairs to the front door and narrow staircase to 2nd floor ( only challenge was when I’m trying to carry suitcase). Spacious layout, lots of windows, big DR table for eating ( or high top and stools in kitchen) , 2 1/2 baths. The queen bed was very comfy Per my teen who usually gets a pull out. The king was nice but firm and a bit low to the ground. Plenty of hot water with the showers and was nice to have hand sprayer and rain head in master shower. And a double sink basin. Stackable W/d in closet next to master. ( small loads but efficient) Neighborhood is filled with families and lovely to walk. Found some nice restaurants within a mile either direction. Big groc stores about 4-6 blocks on H st and 1/2 mile walk to Union station to catch metro or get taxi or train. Were responsive quickly to our messages and helpful with answers. I think they have a management team as the names replying varied and not “hosts”

Great family home close to the National Mall!

As a cyclist, I totally dug the decor. Very cool. Fantastic location. Walk to H street. Great shops. Definitely check out the Starbucks, Binge for an N/A bar, and a great bookstore down the street. The hosts were super responsive and helpful.

Beautiful place! I stayed here with 2 of my coworkers and we had plenty of space. The house is close to everything—restaurants, grocery stores, and sightseeing.

The house was absolutely beautiful and really homely. The beds were super comfy and the area was really quiet but easy to walk into the center of town. The hosts were really responsive and sorted any issues really quickly.

A great stay. A simultaneous professional and “feel at home” feeling. We loved the style of the furniture and we appreciated all the books on the shelves. Excellent location at a walking distance from all amenities: Union Station and the restaurants in the neighbourhood. We strongly recommend.

Wonderful stay! We had no car and home is in a perfect location to walk to almost anything… restaurants, Whole Foods, Union Station, sites, etc. Lovely neighborhood with homes that were well kept and decorated for Halloween. Home is well kept and furnished; kitchen has everything needed to make great meals. We have already discussed returning 🙂

This house was in a great location!! We were able to walk to Union Station and take the metro just about everywhere, including to and from Reagan. We could walk to the capital and the Eastern Market on Saturday morning. Great communication and easy check-in and check-out process. We would definitely stay again.

My family of five was very happy with our stay. The home was just as described, very clean and in a walkable neighborhood. We had a great visit!

I’m so impressed with this house and the host! They were amazing to work with and communicated quickly and with much kindness. We had an issue with the toilet in the primary bathroom our first night and they worked quickly to resolve it. In the process, they were very helpful offering tips and ideas to solve the issue. They had a supervisor out first thing the next morning and a plumber came when that solution didn’t work out. They were generous to us in the way they both fixed the issue and in the way they handled our entire stay. The way they helped was very kind. The house is beautiful! It’s a historic piece of DC. The first floor felt like home and the bedrooms/bathrooms were incredibly nice. Great kitchen and back patio. Amazing and spacious dining room for hanging out. Great living room for relaxing after a long day of exploring the city. This place is great and we’ll stay here again if we come back to explore DC!

Great stay for our family. Not far from the Capitol and Mall. Union Station is an easy walk for food/trains and there are also local places nearby as well as Whole Foods (all walking distance). We had a problem with a broken doorknob and the owner had it fixed immediately the day we notified them. Overall, really cool neighborhood and townhouse to feel a part of DC for the week.

Beautiful home with a great backyard and wonderful kitchen and plenty of space!

Really nice and clean two level home. Well situated on peaceful tree lined street. Great air conditioning which was much appreciated on hot July days. The layout worked very well for our family with pre teen kids. Very nicely decorated to feel like you are at home.

Very happy with the host and house. location was great for access to the monuments and was very walkable/safe. If we are back in DC then this place will be on the top of our list.

We stayed here for a week for a family trip to DC. Easy walk to and from Union Station, great neighborhood near restaurants and markets. *if* you are travelling with middle school or high school age soccer players, there is a terrific school field a block and half down the street that is open. This saved our 14 year old, who played pick-up with local club and used it for practice every night of our visit!

Amazing stay. Feels just like a home, as others have said. Area very comfortable, safe. Walkable to some little/big box groceries. Well appointed spaces and lots of little touches provided like coffee. Air conditioning in bedrooms via mini splits was excellent. One of our best Airbnb stays on record. Does not disappoint.

The location is wonderful, the house is very comfortable and the backyard was perfect for Sunday breakfast for our family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We stay here for a week long trip to DC. The house was great with plenty of space for the 6 of us. It was clean, had all the amenities we needed and a really nice outdoor patio area. It’s a really nice and quiet neighborhood with coffee shops, convenience stores, restaurants and grocery stores all within a couple of blocks. It is about a 1.5 walk to the capital building. We walked every day to the National Mall area to the Museums and Monuments with an infant and had no issues. It’s a safe walk through nice neighborhoods and parks all the way there. It was perfect place to stay for in the our trip. As a side note, the pull out bed in the office/bedroom is quite comfortable. I has a memory foam mattress on it. It was the one thing I was concerned about when booking, knowing I need all 3 bedrooms. We did have trouble getting the parking pass. Part of the issue was we got a rental so I couldn’t deal with the pass ahead of time. The host was very responsive, but we just couldn’t get it to work through the parking pass website. The host offered to get the pass for us if would send them our vehicle info, but by then I found convenient paid parking just a block from the house and chose to just keep our vehicle there. I would strongly recommend it. It is close, in the alley just a block away and is in and out parking, meaning you would always have a parking space waiting for you upon your return. I found it on spothero for 60 for the week.

This home is in a beautiful, historic neighborhood, which seems to have been built out around the turn of the century. It is only about a half mile from Union Station and not much farther to the Capital and the Mall. The house was very clean and charming. Be aware that there is a steep flight of stairs (16 stairs to be exact) to get upstairs to the bedrooms. So make sure you are able to haul your suitcases up there and the 10 or so front steps. The house was very comfortable with adjustable A/C and nice beds. I really liked the office area so I could do a bit of work undisturbed. This is a house you could stay for a while with plenty of storage! A few blocks away is H street with restaurants, shopping and a free trolly that runs along the street. We had rented a car and used Spot Hero to find a nearby parking spot, but actually we were able to find a parking spot on the street most of the time and never got a ticket (but that is risky). I would recommend this house!

We had a wonderful stay with our family. Grandparents, parents, a toddler and baby all had very comfortable spaces to sleep. It’s a quiet neighborhood, easy to park and extremely walkable. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay at Home Sweet City! The home was absolutely perfect for our needs—warm, welcoming, and full of charm. Unlike some of the more sterile places we’ve stayed, this one truly felt like a home. It was squeaky clean, beautifully appointed, and thoughtfully stocked with all the basics we needed. The host was incredibly responsive, often replying within moments of our requests. This home made what was a personally difficult weekend so much more comfortable and manageable. We’re so grateful and would absolutely stay here again.

Positive: Location was amazing and perfect for our family of 5. We love to cycle so all the bike decor made it fun. The neighborhood is great and we felt very safe.

We were sight-seeing for a few days with our in-laws and son and everyone had a great time. We all really appreciated how comfortable the place was and it felt great to come back to and relax in after a long day of walking around the city. We ordered in food one evening and the kitchen was well stocked and very convenient for heating up leftovers or even making our son some pasta since he’s a picky eater. I would definitely consider booking here again if we’re ever visiting DC again, especially with extended family.

This might be one of the coolest and most thoughtfully curated short-term rentals I’ve booked. You can tell the owners take a ton of pride in their property. This is not just a landlord rental special. Everything was perfect and well-decorated. The kitchen is extremely well stocked, which I appreciated as we cooked several meals. The patio is quiet and spacious, and the bedrooms are all well-sized for DC. As we needed to spend most of our time at The Hill, this location was also ideal. I will absolutely be booking another stay here. Thank you so much!

This is one of the best appointed homes that we have stayed in. Lovely Neighborhood.

It’s a cute, classic older home in DC that has been updated. Owners have a lot of smaller supplies/ pantry items in the kitchen which is nice. But, there’s a lot of stairs. If you have mobility issues or trouble lifting your luggage, it could be a problem. Also, the couch in living room has feather filled cushions which could be an allergy issue.

The location is great! It is very walkable to various tourist sites, markets and restaurants. The space was perfect and we felt right at home. Communication with the host was easy and they were very responsive. I plan on coming back again!

Beautiful home right where you want to be in DC. Everything you need in the way of amenities was provided. We stayed during the 2025 Inauguration and after days of walking, standing out in the weather and excitement it was always a relief to come home to warmth and convenience. Response time from our hosts was always lightening quick when we had a question or needed something. The six of us were very comfortable with plenty of space to spread out.

Amazing place. Great location. We were there during the 1/6/25 snowstorm. House was warm. You can tell the owner is an interesting person from the decorations. We had 6 adults for a few days and the kitchen was very functional. The large dining room table made it easy to gather and play games. Back yard would be great in the spring or fall. House was the perfect fit for our family.

Overall, we appreciated the cleanliness and comfort of this vacation rental. This is a very nice place! One small improvement could be made: each of our aunties nearly slipped in the hall bathtub while taking a shower; the owner should consider providing a suction mat to prevent falls. We did have one stress point: obtaining a parking permit for our rental car, since the owner clearly states they will not print permits and our flight into DC was arriving late at night. Solution: the first night of our stay we found paid parking a few blocks away and the next day visited a UPS Store in the area to have the permit printed.

We had a wonderful stay at Home Sweet City. The house and neighborhood are so cute. Easy walk to the Capitol and east end of mall, dinner, grocery and drug store. We loved our time there.

We stayed with here with our toddler and infant and it was a very comfortable stay. The kitchen has everything you’d need. The toiletaries were great. The towels were plush – it was like a hotel stay but with comforts of a home. 10/10 would stay again!

The place is fantastic, very quiet neighborhood with easy access to public transportation and easy to park your own car on the street. The house was cozy and very clean. Kitchen well equipped with initial supplies to give you a good landing. Supermarket and small convenience stores at walking distance so the experience was like being home.

We loved staying at this townhouse on a leafy street in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Very stylishly decorated with a comfy living room and sofa overlooking the street at the front of the house, and a great well appointed kitchen at the back of the house overlooking the garden. The bedrooms are all upstairs; the primary front bedroom is huge with a king sized bed and really comfy linens. The bathrooms were stylishly updated and hotel quality fixtures. This place was the perfect mix between home and luxury, would absolutely stay again.

Our family had a great stay – the instructions were clear, the home is beautiful and clean, it’s easy to park, and our hosts were incredibly responsive. The only issue was that the shower door fell out suddenly, which was concerning as we have little kids. We were fine and our hosts responded right away even at 10pm or so, and offered to fix it the next day, so that was much appreciated. We understand that these things happen though, so would just recommend a more thorough check going forward, and we’re happy to come back another time!

We had a wonderful stay with our family! We came for work and used to live/work in the area. It completely matched the descriptions, very clean, ample supplies, comfortable beds (including the pullout!), and plenty of space for all of us. It was terrific. Will stay again. It definitely is a bit of a walk from the Mall but in terms of Eastern Market, Union Station area, US Capitol, and some of the closer Smithsonians and musuems, it is not bad at all. Near Whole foods and plenty of coffee spots.

Excellent location for spending a few days in Washington D.C. Within walking distance of Union Station and the Capital. The house is tastefully done and gives the experience of living in a Washington D.C. row house. There were three of us and with two full and one half-bath plus well designed kitchen/dining/living room it was plenty roomy and comfortable. Overall we were very pleased. Only negative is that street parking is required, but we were able to find a spot right across the street and had no issues. I would recommend this location to anyone visiting Washington D.C. and wanting to experience the city life.

Location was great for all sights in the city. We did end up getting Ubers too a couple of times and that was very easy too. The house was spotless and stylish with everything we could need. AC worked perfectly, which was great as it was very hot when we were there. Close to a Whole Foods and a little local shops for necessities on the corner. Beds were comfy and bedding and towels were all good. Overall, this may be the best Airbnb we have stayed in! Will definitely be back if we are in DC again.

This place is not just beautiful, but also perfectly located, walking distance from Union train station. Restaurants, pharmacy, bars, everything is walkable. I would definitely recommend it.

We loved our stay here and would definitely choose this rental again. This townhouse has ample space and is spotless. The closets were empty, but based on how well stocked the kitchen is with high end cookware and spices, the owners must have plans to use this place occasionally. The beds: There are three bedrooms. I was concerned that since one of the bedrooms has a fold out couch, my kids would be competing for the room with a regular queen bed. But the sofa bed is new and has high quality fold out mattress. It also has a thick soft bamboo mattress cover. My son was very happy and and comfortable. The master bedroom has a quality king mattress that is very firm. It is perfect for back sleepers. The location is close to everything. But we did use rideshares for most our trips since the temperatures were in the high 90s. We’d also recommend Harris Teeter grocery delivery.
