This place was exactly like it looked in the pictures! Overall, the stag was good! The neighbors were very loud in the early hours of the morning (3am one night) which would wake us up or made it difficult to fall asleep. The host was very responsive and the location was easily accessible to the public transit!

Thanks, it was a good stay overall just wanted to request you to get the bathroom door lockage or if its not can put an indicator for occupied or vacant . The handle of the washroom doesn’t latch properly. All other items were great

I was very comfortable at Home Sweet City. Everything was as described, and the unit was very well appointed.
I was very happy to have the wonderful coffee provided, as I love a good cup in the morning!
Accessing the city was very easy using public transportation.
If I return to DC, this would be the spot to stay!

It was nice to finally feel at home. For the last four years of traveling from NC to DC, we have always stayed in hotels. Due to our back-to-back trips for our two daughters’ graduations from two separate colleges on different weekends, we decided to try an Airbnb for the second trip.
This was by far the best experience. The home was very welcoming, clean, and quiet. There were renters upstairs above us, but we could barely hear them. The only noise we noticed was occasionally hearing the upstairs toilet flush.

this is a beautiful home in an adorable neighborhood. it’s on the residential street so it was nice and quiet but close enough and walkable to be convenient to local restaurants and stores. I loved the gas fireplace which was super warm and the throne sized kitchen chairs. The hosts were super responsive and replied back to messages almost immediately. there was a minor plumbing problem that happened at night and we messaged them and they sent somebody first thing in the morning and it was resolved quickly and efficiently. we will most definitely stay here again on our next trip to DC!

We had a lovely stay. The place is just like the pictures. The space was modern and uncluttered, and felt very upscale. even though it was downstairs-it didn’t feel like that .There was a good amount of light,
It felt spacious and airy!
We really enjoyed the fireplace and appreciated the delicious coffee the hosts provided. The neighborhood was quiet, there were some restaurants and coffee places
within walking distance. The location made it easy to get to lots of other places in DC.
Michelle was quickly responsive with the few questions I had. Easy to communicate with.

Ubytování bylo nádherné, skvěle vybavené, opravdu jsme se cítili jako doma. Hostitel byl velice komunikativní a se vším nám poradil. Jediné co tak klimatizace byla poměrně hlučná a bylo dost slyšet dupání z horního patra, ale nic co by nám vyloženě kazilo zážitek. Určitě doporučuji.

Lovely place in a peaceful community and lots within walking distance. Host was constantly responsive, checking on our wellbeing. The amenities provided were amazing! Place is much more spacious and looks even better than the pictures. A recommended stay and could see myself making a return trip.

We had a great stay. Super comfortable. Was clean and modern. Nice kitchen. We walked to the metro or bus stops to get to the museums/sites and it was really convenient. Great coffee close by! Host was quick to respond to any questions we had. We had no problems and would stay here again.

Beautiful condo in a beautiful neighborhood! Very charming and well decorated place.
The upstairs unit is also an AirBnB and we heard more than just kids “pitter patter”, both late at night and early in the morning. The thermostat was locked and we had to request a code from the host – this was not something mentioned in the home guide. The unit is minimally stocked – we ran out of coffee after day 2.
We were particularly disappointed that the hosts were inflexible on check-in and check-out times. We reached out about early check-in a few hours before regular check-in and was asked to check back later. We asked a day before check-out if a late check-out was possible and was told that was not enough notice to provide.
I think we’d choose a different AirBnB next time.

Nice apartment for a group of 3 people. Very clean and hosts are amazing to deal with. Only downside is if you’re a bit on the larger size, the doors, heights, and bed sizes might be a bother.

Good garden level DC apartment. Everything was clean and the kitchen area was great. The location is good with a farmers market close by on the weekends and a really good BBQ place. You will still probably have to get an uber if you plan on going to the Smithsonian museums. Our biggest problem was the bedding, we had 4 adults so it was a squeeze. The two beds were both pretty small (full beds at most) and they were quite firm.

Points positifs :
logement très bien décoré et très propre. La cuisine est très bien équipée et café, thé, huile, sel poivre sont mis à dispo ce qui est très appréciable. Nous avons apprécié la machine à laver. appartement au rdc donc pas de fenêtres mais assez éclairé pour ne pas se sentir oppressé.
Points négatifs :
– le parking. Nous avions choisi cet appart pour ne pas galérer à se garer. Or il a fallu faire des démarches sur un site puis imprimer le document et lorsque l’on voyage, on n’a pas forcément d’imprimante dans le coffre de la voiture… puis il faut savoir aussi qu’il faut se garer à 3 mètres des bouches d’incendies sans quoi vous risquez de payer, comme nous, une amende de 50 dollars ( peut être le spécifier dans les détails de la location )
– la taille du lit de la chambre où ont dormi nos enfants car le lit est de 140 donc pas de soucis pour nous puisque ce sont nos enfants qui y ont dormi.
– le bruit de la chaudière dans l’autre chambre est assez ennuyant.

This was a lovely weekend stay. As a basement unit you may hear some footsteps above but we rarely ever did. It was well located and an easy walk or short drive to everywhere we wanted to go. Would stay here again if I come back to DC

Place was amazing and the just was super communicative. The only challenge we had was the neighbors upstairs. It says in the listing we may hear them during the day but two of the nights they stomping around until gone midnight keeping us up. Gave it a 4 star because of that but otherwise the stay was perfect, the house is super clean and up to date and the host is amazing.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Evergreen. It was very comfortable for my husband, son, daughter-in-law, and I. We walked to the nearby restaurants as well as to the convention center for a conference and to the capital mall area.

Decent spot. the rusty mirror in the bathroom is unacceptable, though.
My wife nearly cut herself on the rusty edge, would have sucked to have to go to the hospital for a tetanus shot.

This is a great launchpad for exploring the city. A good selection of local restaurants and small shops within walking distance, and the DC visitor pass made parking easy. The kitchen was well stocked for meal preparation, and there were several nice seating areas inside and out.

Overall a good stay. There were a few minor issues, such as not being able to use the washing machine during our stay but the hosts were very responsive and quick to resolve.

We had a great stay in the apartment of sweet home, everything was perfect, thanks for having us. We would recommend it to friends. There is also very nice coffee called „the big bear“ around the corner in case you want to chill outside drinking a good coffee. The bus , the capitol bike station and the green line are not far away from the apartment. On Sundays there is a nice farmer market around the corner.

Beautiful AirBnB, great location. Was easy to take the metro or Lyft anywhere. Never had an issue with parking. Very clear instructions and helpful information throughout the unit. Would absolutely stay again.

Home Sweet City was very responsive. The property looks like the photos, but it’s smaller than I thought it would be. I still believe it’s a good value though. The property was clean when I arrived, except for the hair I found on the master bed the first night. I assume it came from the person who cleaned the property, rather than the last guest, but it was still gross. I didn’t care for the neighborhood because it felt rundown. That said, I live in an affluent suburb of another city, rather than an urban area, so take that for what it’s worth. I enjoyed eating at the Red Hen and Bacio Pizzeria. Lastly, the property was warmer and more humid than I would have liked because I couldn’t turn the AC down below 73 degrees. It felt warmer than that at times, but I visited DC on the hottest week of the year so far (mid to high 90s all week). All in all, I had a good, but not great, stay for the aforementioned reasons.

We loved living like locals while staying at this property! Our family of 4 enjoyed walking to numerous neighborhoods and restaurants in the area.
The metro is just a short walk and took us to see all the sights of DC. We always felt safe and enjoyed the quiet, clean, and modern space of this property.

The unit had everything we needed for our stay, and it had enough space for 4 adults. The location was 10 minutes away from the Green line metro station, which made it very easy for us to get to the main DC attractions. Home Sweet City was very responsive and helped us immediately when we had questions. We were very happy with the service that they provided and highly recommend the place!

Lovely quiet tree lined neighborhood. Parking was on the street but never difficult to find a space. Tastefully, very clean and well furnished apartment. Instructions needed to be more explicit on how to access the outdoor trash bins. We almost gave up trying to locate them, but…finally found them in an alleyway, which could be accessed through a mechanized rollup door with a power button requiring the use of the end of a broomstick by my 6’2” brother!!! Would gladly stay here again.

Two retired couples visiting the DC area to continue visiting more museums, etc. We found this place comfortable, easy to walk to a few restaurants, etc. We always felt safe. We ubered to several places so we never used public transportation. We would definitely stay here again. Well supplied with the basics! Friendly and quick responses to any questions we had.

We absolutely loved our stay in this spacious Washington apartment! Everything was spotless, and the neighbours were friendly. The appliances are modern and the internet connection was good. We’re pleasantly surprised to find complimentary delicious tea and coffee – a lovely touch! Despite being on the first floor, the apartment is very bright and cozy. A special thanks for arranging free parking right next to the apartment. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Gorgeous home in a great neighborhood. Not right in the center of everything but easily accessible by scooter and walkable to so many great spots (Big Bear Restaurant was a favorite for breakfast!). Beds were comfortable, house had every amenity we needed, and the hosts were helpful. Highly recommend! Also loved the outdoor spaces to enjoy nature while in the middle of the city.

Overall apartment was clean, decorated nice and we felt at home. Parking was easy but definitely need to do parking permit ahead of time as suggested. Neighborhood was walkable with restaurants nearby. Felt very safe but did not venture out with our small children at night.

We had a wonderful stay at The Evergreen. The host was very responsive throughout the entire stay (daily messages to make sure all was good); however, we really didn’t need anything at all! Everything with respect to toiletries and kitchenware was included. The only possible thing that we could have used (and this is being very picky) was an extra pillow or two in each room as well as an oven mitt (perhaps it was right in front of our face, but we couldn’t seem to find one…just used a kitchen towel though and we were fine). It was spacious enough for our family of four and provided a much-needed respite from the 43 miles of walking we did around DC! Bacio Pizzeria around the corner was a favorite for sure. It was a very quiet area and we felt very safe here. Thank you for a great stay!

We stayed here for a mini-break to do some DC tourist activities with our kids, and it was perfect for that. Easy parking, close to restaurants, not too far to get to the mall area, quiet at night! Everything was so well thought out and designed. We were very comfortable. The hosts were very responsive.

This English Basement apartment was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed with modern appliances. The sitting area was cozy and perfect for lounging by the electric fireplace and watching TV. The neighborhood was safe and walkable to a great BBQ place across the street and a hip cafe just around the block. We had no trouble finding street parking using the guest pass. We were also glad to have a real coffeemaker. Would definitely stay here again.

We definitely enjoyed our recent stay. the home was beautiful with everything we needed in the kitchen. The two outdoor seating areas were great for enjoying our morning coffee, too. We found it easy to walk to the metro as well as to many of the restaurants near by, but did opt to take an Uber directly to our door on a few late nights. I was slightly apprehensive about finding on street parking that was close by the property, but was able to park right outside the front door, so don’t let the on street parking deter you.

We had such a wonderful stay! This was a beautiful home with all the amenities you need, including local coffee and tea our hosts supplied! The neighborhood is safe and beautiful – you can easily access any of the DC touring hot spots while also enjoying the local gems like Bloomingdale itself or Union Market. We really enjoyed trying the recommended restaurants nearby. We brought our car and had no issue finding street parking over the course of our stay. Our hosts were so responsive and gracious throughout the entirety of our stay. Overall a great place, and we can’t wait to return!

honestly, more than 5 stars is appropriate. We stayed over a week and had zero complaints! about a 15-minute walk to the green line and multiple bus stops within 5 minutes (G8, 80, 90, 92). The kitchen is perfect for cooking, and the back area is a cute little sitting area that one can read a book in peace at. Within a mile of two great breweries and a few great spots to eat. The neighborhood looks like it is being renovated, and most of the houses seem to have a fresh coat of paint. House is quiet, and the decor is calming. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Perfect location! Accommodations were exactly as described. Lots of extra care put into staging and decorating. Appreciated the house was fully stocked and complimentary bath and kitchen soaps and supplies! Definitely recommend and will stay again when in the area.

Great space in a lovely neighborhood. The apartment was lovely and clean and quiet and just like the photos. Really comfy beds and everything seemed new and was in working order. The neighborhood is a very locals DC neighborhood, which is a different vibe from downtown DC. We loved the neighborhood and some lovely streets and great eateries there, at a fraction of DC prices too!

We had a great stay. Super comfortable. Was clean and modern. Nice kitchen. We walked to the metro or bus stops to get to the museums/sites and it was really convenient. Great coffee close by! Host was quick to respond to any questions we had. We had no problems and would stay here again.

Beautiful condo in a beautiful neighborhood! Very charming and well decorated place.
The upstairs unit is also an AirBnB and we heard more than just kids “pitter patter”, both late at night and early in the morning. The thermostat was locked and we had to request a code from the host - this was not something mentioned in the home guide. The unit is minimally stocked - we ran out of coffee after day 2.
We were particularly disappointed that the hosts were inflexible on check-in and check-out times. We reached out about early check-in a few hours before regular check-in and was asked to check back later. We asked a day before check-out if a late check-out was possible and was told that was not enough notice to provide.
I think we’d choose a different AirBnB next time.

Nice apartment for a group of 3 people. Very clean and hosts are amazing to deal with. Only downside is if you’re a bit on the larger size, the doors, heights, and bed sizes might be a bother.

Good garden level DC apartment. Everything was clean and the kitchen area was great. The location is good with a farmers market close by on the weekends and a really good BBQ place. You will still probably have to get an uber if you plan on going to the Smithsonian museums. Our biggest problem was the bedding, we had 4 adults so it was a squeeze. The two beds were both pretty small (full beds at most) and they were quite firm.

Points positifs :
logement très bien décoré et très propre. La cuisine est très bien équipée et café, thé, huile, sel poivre sont mis à dispo ce qui est très appréciable. Nous avons apprécié la machine à laver. appartement au rdc donc pas de fenêtres mais assez éclairé pour ne pas se sentir oppressé.
Points négatifs :
- le parking. Nous avions choisi cet appart pour ne pas galérer à se garer. Or il a fallu faire des démarches sur un site puis imprimer le document et lorsque l’on voyage, on n’a pas forcément d’imprimante dans le coffre de la voiture… puis il faut savoir aussi qu’il faut se garer à 3 mètres des bouches d’incendies sans quoi vous risquez de payer, comme nous, une amende de 50 dollars ( peut être le spécifier dans les détails de la location )
- la taille du lit de la chambre où ont dormi nos enfants car le lit est de 140 donc pas de soucis pour nous puisque ce sont nos enfants qui y ont dormi.
- le bruit de la chaudière dans l’autre chambre est assez ennuyant.

This was a lovely weekend stay. As a basement unit you may hear some footsteps above but we rarely ever did. It was well located and an easy walk or short drive to everywhere we wanted to go. Would stay here again if I come back to DC

Place was amazing and the just was super communicative. The only challenge we had was the neighbors upstairs. It says in the listing we may hear them during the day but two of the nights they stomping around until gone midnight keeping us up. Gave it a 4 star because of that but otherwise the stay was perfect, the house is super clean and up to date and the host is amazing.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Evergreen. It was very comfortable for my husband, son, daughter-in-law, and I. We walked to the nearby restaurants as well as to the convention center for a conference and to the capital mall area.

My wife nearly cut herself on the rusty edge, would have sucked to have to go to the hospital for a tetanus shot.

This is a great launchpad for exploring the city. A good selection of local restaurants and small shops within walking distance, and the DC visitor pass made parking easy. The kitchen was well stocked for meal preparation, and there were several nice seating areas inside and out.

We had a great stay in the apartment of sweet home, everything was perfect, thanks for having us. We would recommend it to friends. There is also very nice coffee called „the big bear“ around the corner in case you want to chill outside drinking a good coffee. The bus , the capitol bike station and the green line are not far away from the apartment. On Sundays there is a nice farmer market around the corner.

Home Sweet City was very responsive. The property looks like the photos, but it’s smaller than I thought it would be. I still believe it’s a good value though. The property was clean when I arrived, except for the hair I found on the master bed the first night. I assume it came from the person who cleaned the property, rather than the last guest, but it was still gross. I didn’t care for the neighborhood because it felt rundown. That said, I live in an affluent suburb of another city, rather than an urban area, so take that for what it’s worth. I enjoyed eating at the Red Hen and Bacio Pizzeria. Lastly, the property was warmer and more humid than I would have liked because I couldn’t turn the AC down below 73 degrees. It felt warmer than that at times, but I visited DC on the hottest week of the year so far (mid to high 90s all week). All in all, I had a good, but not great, stay for the aforementioned reasons.

We loved living like locals while staying at this property! Our family of 4 enjoyed walking to numerous neighborhoods and restaurants in the area.
The metro is just a short walk and took us to see all the sights of DC. We always felt safe and enjoyed the quiet, clean, and modern space of this property.

The unit had everything we needed for our stay, and it had enough space for 4 adults. The location was 10 minutes away from the Green line metro station, which made it very easy for us to get to the main DC attractions. Home Sweet City was very responsive and helped us immediately when we had questions. We were very happy with the service that they provided and highly recommend the place!

Lovely quiet tree lined neighborhood. Parking was on the street but never difficult to find a space. Tastefully, very clean and well furnished apartment. Instructions needed to be more explicit on how to access the outdoor trash bins. We almost gave up trying to locate them, but…finally found them in an alleyway, which could be accessed through a mechanized rollup door with a power button requiring the use of the end of a broomstick by my 6’2” brother!!! Would gladly stay here again.

Two retired couples visiting the DC area to continue visiting more museums, etc. We found this place comfortable, easy to walk to a few restaurants, etc. We always felt safe. We ubered to several places so we never used public transportation. We would definitely stay here again. Well supplied with the basics! Friendly and quick responses to any questions we had.

We absolutely loved our stay in this spacious Washington apartment! Everything was spotless, and the neighbours were friendly. The appliances are modern and the internet connection was good. We're pleasantly surprised to find complimentary delicious tea and coffee - a lovely touch! Despite being on the first floor, the apartment is very bright and cozy. A special thanks for arranging free parking right next to the apartment. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Gorgeous home in a great neighborhood. Not right in the center of everything but easily accessible by scooter and walkable to so many great spots (Big Bear Restaurant was a favorite for breakfast!). Beds were comfortable, house had every amenity we needed, and the hosts were helpful. Highly recommend! Also loved the outdoor spaces to enjoy nature while in the middle of the city.

Overall apartment was clean, decorated nice and we felt at home. Parking was easy but definitely need to do parking permit ahead of time as suggested. Neighborhood was walkable with restaurants nearby. Felt very safe but did not venture out with our small children at night.

We had a wonderful stay at The Evergreen. The host was very responsive throughout the entire stay (daily messages to make sure all was good); however, we really didn't need anything at all! Everything with respect to toiletries and kitchenware was included. The only possible thing that we could have used (and this is being very picky) was an extra pillow or two in each room as well as an oven mitt (perhaps it was right in front of our face, but we couldn't seem to find one...just used a kitchen towel though and we were fine). It was spacious enough for our family of four and provided a much-needed respite from the 43 miles of walking we did around DC! Bacio Pizzeria around the corner was a favorite for sure. It was a very quiet area and we felt very safe here. Thank you for a great stay!

We stayed here for a mini-break to do some DC tourist activities with our kids, and it was perfect for that. Easy parking, close to restaurants, not too far to get to the mall area, quiet at night! Everything was so well thought out and designed. We were very comfortable. The hosts were very responsive.

This English Basement apartment was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed with modern appliances. The sitting area was cozy and perfect for lounging by the electric fireplace and watching TV. The neighborhood was safe and walkable to a great BBQ place across the street and a hip cafe just around the block. We had no trouble finding street parking using the guest pass. We were also glad to have a real coffeemaker. Would definitely stay here again.

We definitely enjoyed our recent stay. the home was beautiful with everything we needed in the kitchen. The two outdoor seating areas were great for enjoying our morning coffee, too. We found it easy to walk to the metro as well as to many of the restaurants near by, but did opt to take an Uber directly to our door on a few late nights. I was slightly apprehensive about finding on street parking that was close by the property, but was able to park right outside the front door, so don’t let the on street parking deter you.

We had such a wonderful stay! This was a beautiful home with all the amenities you need, including local coffee and tea our hosts supplied! The neighborhood is safe and beautiful - you can easily access any of the DC touring hot spots while also enjoying the local gems like Bloomingdale itself or Union Market. We really enjoyed trying the recommended restaurants nearby. We brought our car and had no issue finding street parking over the course of our stay. Our hosts were so responsive and gracious throughout the entirety of our stay. Overall a great place, and we can’t wait to return!

honestly, more than 5 stars is appropriate. We stayed over a week and had zero complaints! about a 15-minute walk to the green line and multiple bus stops within 5 minutes (G8, 80, 90, 92). The kitchen is perfect for cooking, and the back area is a cute little sitting area that one can read a book in peace at. Within a mile of two great breweries and a few great spots to eat. The neighborhood looks like it is being renovated, and most of the houses seem to have a fresh coat of paint. House is quiet, and the decor is calming. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Perfect location! Accommodations were exactly as described. Lots of extra care put into staging and decorating. Appreciated the house was fully stocked and complimentary bath and kitchen soaps and supplies! Definitely recommend and will stay again when in the area.

Great space in a lovely neighborhood. The apartment was lovely and clean and quiet and just like the photos. Really comfy beds and everything seemed new and was in working order. The neighborhood is a very locals DC neighborhood, which is a different vibe from downtown DC. We loved the neighborhood and some lovely streets and great eateries there, at a fraction of DC prices too!
