This studio apartment is very clean and well appointed. However, it’s a basement apartment. So don’t expect much daylight. I stayed there in August and had to keep electric lights on pretty much all day. While the location is convenient, street noise can be quite loud. The fridge in the apartment is also loud so definitely bring earplugs.

This place was perfect for our weekend in DC! We were moving our daughter into her new apartment in Logan Circle, and the location was just unbeatable. Great fun to walk to fabulous restaurants right from our Airbnb. There was also a cute coffee shop just a stone’s throw away. We felt completely safe here, and the street is charming. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again on a return trip to DC.

Had a great stay here. Lots to do in the neighborhood, and about a 10-minute walk to the Green Line. Overall, I’d highly recommend the property to anyone looking to stay in the heart of DC.

If you are a couple or a single looking for a great place in DC this place is perfect. Great neighborhood, lots of great restaurants, walkable to metro.

Safe, accessible location. Every single thing that you may need was provided….from a first aid kit, writing materials, to measuring spoons in the kitchen if you wish to cook. Extra bedding, kitchen and laundry items. Lots of space if you’re like me who likes to spread out. Best of all were all the pamphlets and brochures with metro and local attraction maps.

Amazing location and very convenient for my stay in D.C. Really only used the space to come back and sleep, and it was mostly great for that! Given that it’s a garden level, you can definitely hear the occupants upstairs, and there was only one morning where the sound was pretty loud, like they were vacuuming or something. Would definitely return here again, the hosts were very communicative and provided me with lots of info. Only gripe is that the hairdryer is super old.

Set on a beautiful, leafy street of historic buildings, this place was a pleasant place to come home to after a day of sightseeing. It has everything you might need, a well equipped kitchen, air conditioning, hair dryer, suitcase stands, table for eating, desk, etc. The host reached out to see how we were doing mid stay, which was nice but since the place was so well equipped, nothing was needed. We loved the location near the Metro, Trader Joe’s and tons of restaurants.

Had a wonderful stay in this cute and nicely appointed apartment. I have spent a lot of time in DC, but being this close to 14th st was a real treat – so many bars and restaurants in walking distance (and a 12 min walk to U St metro). Special praise for how well equipped and supplied the place is! I’ve stayed in 100s of airbnbs and far too many have the absolute bare minimum – 2 glasses, limited paper products, an almost empty salt shaker. Not this place – plenty of everything, very well equipped kitchen, laundry detergent, sharp cutting knives – very nice for a multi-day stay! We enjoyed ourselves and would stay here again in a second! One thing to note: it is in a DC-style “english” basement. Full height ceilings, plenty of space, but definitely at ground level. There are full size windows in the front, but you will likely keep your window shades drawn, as we did, for privacy. Can make it a little dark inside.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen is nicely stocked, and there were plenty of extra towels and blankets. We appreciated all of the abundance of cleaning products, and were able to launder our clothes and clean our dishes every day. We appreciated the availability of great books and games to play—if only we had the time! We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed 3 nights in early April. Check in was smooth as we had arrived an hour ahead of check in and Lizzy was flexible enough to let us in earlier. That was very much appreciated as we had heavy luggage with us. The apartment was in a lovely quiet street, within easy walking distance to shops and eateries, and well-furnished and well-stocked with kitchen condiments and laundry detergent etc. The whole area felt safe. Shower was great and the whole apartment was well-heated.

The space is bigger than what it looks like in the photos, which makes you feel very comfortable. Super quiet and has everything you need. I highly recommend it for one or two people, even a longer stay like a few weeks. It was a perfect and the value was great too.

Great location and hosts! The entire street that this unit sits on has the cutest houses and we just loved walking down it. Checking in was super easy and we were given very clear instructions to find the unit. Found parking just halfway up the block and had zero issues leaving our vehicle for 4 days with the parking pass provided by the host. All amenities listed were available to us and we appreciated the list of recommended shops and restaurants nearby. If we chose a warmer time to visit, this location is PERFECT for walking all over and getting to many landmarks. We would 100% stay here again for another weekend visit!

This is a fantastic location to Logan Circle. So many things to do and easy to access activities by walking or using the metro. Great space for a single or a couple. We enjoyed using the kitchen. This AirBnb was exactly as described. It was also nice to have a washer/dryer in the unit. We plan on returning in January!

If we could, we would give 6 stars for this place. The hosts are very helpful and prompt communicators. The team was awesome. Unit is less than 15 min walk to the subway and 2 minutes to bus routes. You can get anywhere in DC from there. Neighbourhood is lively and we were only 100 feet from the main street but we never heard anything even on a warm weekend night. Within a few minutes walk are: coffee shops, and groceries and wine stores and awesome restaurants. Unit is fully equipped like a luxury resort. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need. Just go buy your groceries or snacks. The unit is air-conditioned and as an added bonus, it has a washer dryer. The queen bed is very comfortable and the unit was very clean. It’s a little below grade so a little dark but hey, you’re here to visit DC not to sit in your unit. But if you do want to stay home & relax, it’s perfect for that too.

Great little spot for a few days in DC. The location is fantastic. I will definitely come back on my next work trip. The only things people should be aware of: – it’s an English basement apartment, so bring ear plugs since in the morning trash pick up etc can be heard – the place has everything one would need, from coffee machine to iron. Quite convenient.

Great location to get around the city and to just be out and about. This apartment is located on a beautiful street. The apartment is clean and nicely decorated in a cottage-like theme. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby. There’s a Sephora in the next block for ladies who may have forgotten a personal item. Most share-rides show up in under 5 mins, so although I drove, I didn’t move my car much. If you drive be sure to register and print your parking pass ahead of time. I had to do a regular registration vs guest registration in order to access a multi-day pass. That takes about 10 mins, so do it before you leave home, because you’ll need to print it for your dashboard and all of the FedEx’s close at 7pm. I debated between this place, and a couple of other places with a modern aesthetic. I’m glad I choose this place. It was perfect for me. If you’re a big TV watcher, the TV is smaller than most. That was no problem for me though, I didn’t even touch it. I hope to return!

I stayed here for three weeks for a work trip. The apartment met my needs and was a good base. It was clean, very well stocked with good amenities for cooking, and the location was excellent – so easy to get into downtown and also explore areas like Dupont Circle and Georgetown. Noise was pretty good considering how close it is to busy 14th Street. The owner was very responsive via messaging. It is certainly not a luxury place and the decor and furnishings are pretty dated. It’s also a basement flat so not much natural light, as you’d expect. The only place to watch TV from is the bed. That said, if you are just looking for a base to sleep and occasionally cook in like I did, then I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

Truly amazing location, close to everything, and the apt was perfect. Ground level apt that felt very secure, easy check in, and great AC.

This is a wonderful place. Nice and clean, friendly neighbors, and very quiet. Close by is a great bar and store called Rice Market and a wine bar called Barcelona Wine Bar. 5 stars, and would happily stay here again.

This is my second time staying here. You really can’t beat it in terms of location, cleanliness, amenities, and price. Right next to 14th st with a full kitchen and washer/dryer. Great for a multi-day stay. It is a basement/garden apartment near a busy area, so if you want a ton of sunlight and a super quiet space, this might not be for you. However, I’ve had no complaints and will continue to book for future trips.

This will be my go-to stay when I am in DC. It is perfect in every single way, most notably how it is both silent and peaceful AND smack in the middle of the vibrant 14th action. I have stayed in dozens of DC hotels, apartments, and airbnbs, and this was by far my quietest lodging experience. I am grateful for the walkability AND the best sleep I’ve ever had on a trip to the district (frequent DC visitors will know how rare this combo is). Thank you, Home Sweet City- I’ll be back!

A fantastic spot. I stayed for a conference, and it met my needs. A sort of best of both worlds, in being so central (just walking distance to great restaurants and Whole foods), while being pretty calm and quiet. A very functional space for working and stretching out and such.

A lovely, fully functional place. And I mean fully functional – fridge, dishwasher, microwave, induction stove, toaster, coffee machine, washer, dryer – the whole works. The owners are very considerate and kept several coffee pods etc for use as well. Please do check the expiry dates on the edibles though – the coffee creamer was past the expiration. Also, the owners are particular about check-out times and do charge if you need a late check-out. They are extremely professional and upfront about it though. All in all an excellent place to stay 🙂

Had a wonderful stay with Home Sweet City. Amazing location (close to cafés, bars, transport, Trader Joe’s…). The host was very communicative and my favorite part was that the place was equipped with all the little things you need but rarely find in AirBnbs in my experience (e.g., fully stacked spice rack, pre-filled Brita filter…). Would definitely book again, thanks for a great stay!

The accommodation was comfortable and as described. Unfortunately, the outside light by the front door was not working. We could not see the numbers on the lockbox nor the lock on the door for the keys. I brought this to their attention – twice – but it was never corrected. This made for a dangerous situation which is why I lowered the rating on the property.

This was a great place to stay for my time in Washington. It was near lots of restaurants and shops, and easy access by foot or public transport to the Mall and other parts of the city.

Sweet place. Great location for our plans. Responsive host. The first time we took a shower, we didn’t get hot water – we figured it must be the time of day. The next time we showered however was a completely different time of day and still no hot water. We were leaving though, and so didn’t have time to reach out to host about it. The host was great when we did reach out, so I can’t imagine this would be a problem for others after us who read this in advance. Don’t follow our example of assuming and instead reach out to the host for assistance. Overall great place and we would stay here again.

Great place to stay in DC. Lots of places to eat/things to do on 14th street, and the garden apartment is really comfortable and private. Has everything you need – workable kitchen, comfy bed, clean bathroom, walk-in closet. We spent a week exploring the city and it was a great home base. Only thing to note is the closest metro stop is about a 10 minute walk. There are buses closer that take SmarTrip cards, but if you’re only hoping to use the metro, know you’ll need to walk a bit. However, neighborhood is super safe and quaint so not a huge deal.

Great location and very comfortable. Kitchen is user-friendly and includes utensils, plates, glasses, cookware, etc. Everything is clean and orderly. Perfect for an individual or couple, in my opinion. I extended my initial stay here, and I was glad to do so.

I had trouble at the original place which did not have a fuctioning AC unit which resulted in a difficult night. The team responded the next fay and shifted me to a better property, and that was a job well done

Not to set too high of an expectation, but this was probably the best AirBnB I’ve ever stayed in. The location was unbeatable (near 14th Street) but also felt residential and cozy. The kitchen had EVERYTHING I needed for meals, and the furniture was super comfortable. Kind hosts. Not only would I stay here again, but I would arrange a trip to DC again just to stay here again. I felt at home.

Super happy! Great location. Everyone I needed was in the condo. I bet the condo owner thought about every detail when making this short term rental. Some people in the comments were saying it was noisy. There was some noise from a nearby business but only at times and for a short time. I would not call the condo noisy.

Beautiful place! It’s the third time I stay in one of Home Sweet City apartments and I would never go for anything else. Just the coziness and warmth that one needs when spending time away from home.

Location is very walkable, about 15 mins from the closest Metro station. It is a downstairs (ground floor) unit, very clean. The mirror in the closet/ dressing room was a nice touch, and the bed was close to 2 outlets. Decent amount of space with a breakfast table and a work table.

This location is our go-to for visiting DC. We love the proximity to restaurants and the metro. The apartment is always clean, and the kitchen is well-stocked.

Great home base for our stay in DC, had everything we needed and more. The kitchen was fully stocked, washer/dryer in the unit, quiet side street but half a block from street with shops and restaurants, close to public transportation (bus and subway). It’s a studio (as advertised) but has a couch, small table for eating, large closet, separate kitchen and small entryway so it didn’t feel tight. Couldn’t really ask for anything more.

A great option when hotels are priced out of range

The place was very convenient, great price and very clean. We were not too happy with the noise at night and not interested in worrying about getting charged for not recycling the right materials, but did like the cozy spot.

This is a professionally managed Airbnb and it shows. Excellent and proactive communication from the host, absolutely spotless apartment, really comfortable bed, nice products (meaning hand soap, shower and conditioner, body lotion, etc), and you can’t beat the location. You’re right in the heart of NW DC, and you can walk pretty much everywhere.

This was a great location. If you’re staying in DC, the Logan Circle area is great place, lots of restaurants, beautiful architecture, easy to get around. The apartment is really comfortable for one person or a couple, with a nice kitchen good closet space and bathroom, and comfortable living/bedroom area. The host was really responsive, the place was impeccable, and I recommend for either a business trip or a couple on a sightseeing trip of DC. Would definitely stay there again.

We booked rather late and that usually means we don’t have a great experience at a place. So we were very pleasantly surprised when everything was perfect, clean, and we had no communication problems. Lovely stay!
