The apartment was actually quite nice and clean. The issue is that the only way to access the apartment is from the alley behind Q Street. It was super disappointing that they did not disclose this until after we had paid. The site says there are exterior cameras, but also said they were not working. It felt unsafe walking in the alley alone. Lots of construction work, trash, etc.

Es un pequeño alojamiento, muy bien equipado y decorado, en una zona muy bonita de la ciudad y accesible con múltiples medios de transporte, pero no deja de ser el sótano de una vivienda aunque perfectamente reacondicionado y limitado en espacio.
La primera impresión exterior es pésima ya que se accede por un callejón detrás de la dirección de la vivienda principal, lleno de tachos de basura y de elementos de construcción, lo que atrae todo tipo de alimañas además de no ser la parte más linda de acceso a una vivienda. I had an amazing stay here, and will definitely return. I found the apartment runs a little cold being down in the basement but it certainly didn’t distract me from enjoying a great space. The bed is comfortable, great shower, decent little kitchen.
The best part for me was location. There are wonderful little restaurants and coffee shops around, and of course being right next to the metro makes getting anywhere in the city super simple.

Great stay, fabulous location for exploring DC, a minute from the metro station. Good bars restaurants right on the corner too. Place was very clean, bed comfortable. The only thing to be aware of are that the walls are quite thin, so sound from neighbours can be heard and the main living area is right under the stairs, so could hear a dog shuttling over. However, the quiet hours are 10pm-6am and we were not too disturbed then. overall a very good stay with responsive property managers.

This was a very well located and clean unit. It was a good base for DC exploration, and easy to come and go. I’d stay again under the right circumstances.
It should be noted that this is a basement level apartment so while there is one window in the bedroom, the living room/kitchen area is fairly dark. It’s comfortable, but I wouldn’t say its a place where you’d plan to hang out for a long time.
It should be noted that while it’s a quiet street, the noise from the upstairs apt dog/residents is quite loud. You could hear everything. I also planned to work for a day from the unit (and paid extra) but the noise from construction next door made that difficult.
Bottom line- good place to stay as a base for exploration, but I wouldn’t plan on spending extra time.

Lovely place and easy to find. It is not difficult to walk down an alley to get to the door, it’s flat and just like a normal street. Not sure why anyone without mobility issues would complain about this and having to use their feet. The renovation of the space is very nice and the bed very comfortable. The neighborhood is fantastic. One thing to note that: I could hear every footstep of humans and pets (dogs) all around me, and I could hear clear voices through daytime hours. Luckily there was no active noise at night time so I had no sleep disturbances, but the clarity that I could hear voices through the walls and ceilings/floors left me uncomfortable to make any private or business telephone calls during my stay. I took sensitive phone calls outside on a walk which would be very inconvenient if I had stayed any longer than a few nights.

Bu güzel evin tek düşündüren yanı, alt katta olduğu için pencerenin pek kullanılamaması olabilir ancak çok uzun saatler evde olmadığım için klostrofobik hissetmedim. Genel olarak evde çok mutluydum. Washtington DC ye geleceğim zaman yine bu güzel evde konaklamayı isterim. Ev sahiplerine ve tüm ekibe teşekkürler.

My week-long stay in DC was great. I’m a sensitive sleeper and the location of this unit was just perfect in terms of any kind of noises – virtually, none. Very cozy furniture, nice design touches, and pleasant and clean surroundings were an added bonus for my stay. The team responsible for unit was very responsive and was always happy to answer my questions. Highly recommend this place!

Ok spot. The listing doesn’t say this but it’s located on a back alley that is kinda dark and long and hard to find. It was impossible to call Lyfts / Ubers because of the irregular location.
The unit was smaller the photos indicate and had some strange odors as well.

Very nice apartment, well-designed. (Our compliments to the cleaning crew!) The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. Convenient location in a nice area of town, and a short ride to the national mall. The Home Sweet City staff were quick to respond to questions about a couple of minor issues. We look forward to staying here again.

Great stay – as described in the listing. Hosts were very responsive and document sent ahead of time outlined everything guest could possibly need to know. A little hard to see the gate code pad at night but otherwise no concerns. would definitely stay again.

Well appointed apartment; brand new furnishings. Great bed and very good pillows. Lots of light and comfortable. DuPont is my favorite neighborhood in DC proper, and very convenient. Property managers were very efficient and professional. Minor issue is the entry is in an alley which makes it a little complicated for food delivery, but of course manageable.

Ideal location with tons of great restaurants and easy access to the Metro. Highly recommended, especially if this is your first time in DC and want to explore the museums and monuments. Hosts were extremely responsive and flexible with our late check-out request.

We enjoyed our stay at Home Sweet City. Dupont Circle area…. The metro is very close… Very comfortable bed and bedding. And a powerful shower. Fully equipped kitchen… The apartment is literally 2 minutes walk to the Phillips Collection, a key item on our visit plan. Also just 30 mins walk to the White House. Thank you !

Great space, great location! I’m fairly picky with AirBNB’s. The space was very clean, nice linens, nice amenities (including nespresso, filtered water). The shower pressure was AMAZING. And the bed was very comfortable. Easy to access, and you really can’t beat the neighborhood.

Had a great stay here! From the brita in the fridge, to local teas and nespresso/pods offered in the kitchen, to a comfy bed and quality linens, I would absolutely recommend this place for your next stay. Located in the lower level of a house we could hear the owners talking etc. although no issues here. As mentioned in the listing, entrance access is via the alleyway so we either had Ubers drop us at the beginning of the alley and walk or make sure to drop the pickup pin in the exact spot of the alley, but nonetheless felt safe. Train station is just around the corner and a very easy walk to many things.

It was a great experience. The house was very clean and the coffee was amazing. It was quiet, yet very close to restaurants and lively entertainment. I was pleasantly surprised to explore the wonderful farmers market on Saturday right next door with delicious treats and very friendly vendors. All in all a great stay and would definitely recommend it.

Perfect studio living in the middle of Embassy Row and DuPont Circle. Street parking was easy and we ditched it after day one. Walking everywhere was so much fun and the metro station is right around the corner too. The host was friendly and helpful during our stay. Great time!

I spent a comfortable week in this cute, snug basement apartment. It’s a fantastic location—heart of Dupont Circle, very near eats/nightlife/metro but on a quiet one-way section of Q Street with little through traffic. The unit entrance is on the alley, but it doesn’t get much safer than this area in downtown DC. The unit has high ceilings, high end finishes/linens, a great bathtub, and there were thoughtful touches and great communication from both the owners and Sweet City.

My husband and I enjoyed our week long stay. The Airbnb was absolutely perfect for us. My husband took a job in DC so I will be commuting back and forth from GA to see him. We would love to stay here again really soon since I’ll be visiting him. The host was very responsive. The kitchen was fully stocked. So many great restaurants in the area. We really enjoyed La Tomato, an an Italian restaurant in walking distance. Very romantic at night, especially with the snow. Icing on the cake: The neighbors upstairs were very friendly. Will definitely rebook again!

Perfect Airbnb in the heart of DuPont. On top of the excellent location the unit itself is great with a very well-stocked kitchen and many thoughtful touches. Beautiful bottom floor unit in a wonderful spot near Dupont Circle, right off of Embassy Row. The location worked really well for me, with lots of food and drink options, but also walking distance to the metro, a couple gyms, and importantly for me, a number of offices (including one of which I was there to visit). The place was clean, comfortable, and the host explained very well how to get there and get in (which on first go could be tricky). Overall would stay again and recommend to others!

A really clean place in a great location. It was nice to have a fully stacked kitchen as we had a toddler with us that we cooked for.
The apartment is nicely furnished and the bedroom is spacious. The bed is really comfortable — I think it is memory foam.
The hosts were very responsive when we had questions.
As we had a toddler with us, we had to spend time in the apartment during the day. For a few days it felt cold with the building’s heating not being enough. This was the only negative thing we experienced. There are however lots of blankets and a space heater.

Great location in Dupont! We had a great trip and it was a good size for two people. Overall great but three things to keep in mind: 1) The entrance to the basement-level apartment is in the alley. It was fine but my wife might have felt a little unsafe walking there at night by herself. 2) The AC/Heating system is shared with the other AirBnBs in the building for setting the temperature. 3) We could smell pot from one of the other AirBnBs in the building.

Home Sweet City was a great host. The airbnb location is perfect walking distance to the metro and local restaurants. There is so much to do around the airbnb in Dupont. In addition, it is easy to get to capital hill and to all the Smithsonians in DC. The airbnb is perfect for 2 people and has everything you need to be comfortable. The hosts are very friendly, provided recommendations and communicated frequently before and after the trip. So glad we got to stay here!

I gave a 5 star rating because they were so responsive to issues and resolved things quickly. The apartment is beautifully and artfully decorated. The location is fantastic- a 3 minute walk to fun restaurants and the metro. The entrance is unattractive- in an alley past garbage cans and the apartment has limited natural light. It is squeaky clean.

The host really wanted us to feel comfortable and feel like we are at home. they were present whenever we needed help. location-wise, I liked it, in a safe back alley right next to cafes and metro station. once you figure out how to locate it, it is not hard to navigate yourself around the neighborhood. I look forward to booking with them again! 🙂

We really appreciated Home Sweet City’s meticulously detailed instructions and responsiveness throughout our stay. The property precisely matched the photos and clearly represents how they take pride in managing it. It is true–as the instructions acknowledge from the outset–that sounds travel quite easily from floors overhead and from the unit next door, but fortunately we found that to be the case only in the kitchen/living room area, not in the bedroom. The neighborhood is very bucolic and walkable, and indeed mere minutes from the Dupont Metro.

Ok spot. The listing doesn’t say this but it’s located on a back alley that is kinda dark and long and hard to find. It was impossible to call Lyfts / Ubers because of the irregular location.
The unit was smaller the photos indicate and had some strange odors as well.

Very nice apartment, well-designed. (Our compliments to the cleaning crew!) The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. Convenient location in a nice area of town, and a short ride to the national mall. The Home Sweet City staff were quick to respond to questions about a couple of minor issues. We look forward to staying here again.

Great stay - as described in the listing. Hosts were very responsive and document sent ahead of time outlined everything guest could possibly need to know. A little hard to see the gate code pad at night but otherwise no concerns. would definitely stay again.

Well appointed apartment; brand new furnishings. Great bed and very good pillows. Lots of light and comfortable. DuPont is my favorite neighborhood in DC proper, and very convenient. Property managers were very efficient and professional. Minor issue is the entry is in an alley which makes it a little complicated for food delivery, but of course manageable.

Ideal location with tons of great restaurants and easy access to the Metro. Highly recommended, especially if this is your first time in DC and want to explore the museums and monuments. Hosts were extremely responsive and flexible with our late check-out request.

We enjoyed our stay at Home Sweet City. Dupont Circle area.... The metro is very close... Very comfortable bed and bedding. And a powerful shower. Fully equipped kitchen... The apartment is literally 2 minutes walk to the Phillips Collection, a key item on our visit plan. Also just 30 mins walk to the White House. Thank you !

Great space, great location! I'm fairly picky with AirBNB's. The space was very clean, nice linens, nice amenities (including nespresso, filtered water). The shower pressure was AMAZING. And the bed was very comfortable. Easy to access, and you really can't beat the neighborhood.

Had a great stay here! From the brita in the fridge, to local teas and nespresso/pods offered in the kitchen, to a comfy bed and quality linens, I would absolutely recommend this place for your next stay. Located in the lower level of a house we could hear the owners talking etc. although no issues here. As mentioned in the listing, entrance access is via the alleyway so we either had Ubers drop us at the beginning of the alley and walk or make sure to drop the pickup pin in the exact spot of the alley, but nonetheless felt safe. Train station is just around the corner and a very easy walk to many things.

It was a great experience. The house was very clean and the coffee was amazing. It was quiet, yet very close to restaurants and lively entertainment. I was pleasantly surprised to explore the wonderful farmers market on Saturday right next door with delicious treats and very friendly vendors. All in all a great stay and would definitely recommend it.

Perfect studio living in the middle of Embassy Row and DuPont Circle. Street parking was easy and we ditched it after day one. Walking everywhere was so much fun and the metro station is right around the corner too. The host was friendly and helpful during our stay. Great time!

I spent a comfortable week in this cute, snug basement apartment. It’s a fantastic location—heart of Dupont Circle, very near eats/nightlife/metro but on a quiet one-way section of Q Street with little through traffic. The unit entrance is on the alley, but it doesn’t get much safer than this area in downtown DC. The unit has high ceilings, high end finishes/linens, a great bathtub, and there were thoughtful touches and great communication from both the owners and Sweet City.

My husband and I enjoyed our week long stay. The Airbnb was absolutely perfect for us. My husband took a job in DC so I will be commuting back and forth from GA to see him. We would love to stay here again really soon since I’ll be visiting him. The host was very responsive. The kitchen was fully stocked. So many great restaurants in the area. We really enjoyed La Tomato, an an Italian restaurant in walking distance. Very romantic at night, especially with the snow. Icing on the cake: The neighbors upstairs were very friendly. Will definitely rebook again!

Perfect Airbnb in the heart of DuPont. On top of the excellent location the unit itself is great with a very well-stocked kitchen and many thoughtful touches. The smooth check in and check out procedures and responsive hosts makes this a real winner. I highly recommend this Airbnb for shorter and longer stays in DC!

Beautiful neighborhood. Phillips Collection across the street is a must see. Bed is comfortable and kitchen well stocked. Shower water pressure great. A solid find and very walkable.

Beautiful bottom floor unit in a wonderful spot near Dupont Circle, right off of Embassy Row. The location worked really well for me, with lots of food and drink options, but also walking distance to the metro, a couple gyms, and importantly for me, a number of offices (including one of which I was there to visit). The place was clean, comfortable, and the host explained very well how to get there and get in (which on first go could be tricky). Overall would stay again and recommend to others!

A really clean place in a great location. It was nice to have a fully stacked kitchen as we had a toddler with us that we cooked for.
The apartment is nicely furnished and the bedroom is spacious. The bed is really comfortable -- I think it is memory foam.
The hosts were very responsive when we had questions.
As we had a toddler with us, we had to spend time in the apartment during the day. For a few days it felt cold with the building's heating not being enough. This was the only negative thing we experienced. There are however lots of blankets and a space heater.

This is an excellent location for someone looking for convenience, luxury accommodations, and access to the red line aka access to various parts of DC. This is a quiet, comfortable spot to relax in and fast WIFI to work remotely.

Great location in Dupont! We had a great trip and it was a good size for two people. Overall great but three things to keep in mind: 1) The entrance to the basement-level apartment is in the alley. It was fine but my wife might have felt a little unsafe walking there at night by herself. 2) The AC/Heating system is shared with the other AirBnBs in the building for setting the temperature. 3) We could smell pot from one of the other AirBnBs in the building.

Home Sweet City was a great host. The airbnb location is perfect walking distance to the metro and local restaurants. There is so much to do around the airbnb in Dupont. In addition, it is easy to get to capital hill and to all the Smithsonians in DC. The airbnb is perfect for 2 people and has everything you need to be comfortable. The hosts are very friendly, provided recommendations and communicated frequently before and after the trip. So glad we got to stay here!

I gave a 5 star rating because they were so responsive to issues and resolved things quickly. The apartment is beautifully and artfully decorated. The location is fantastic- a 3 minute walk to fun restaurants and the metro. The entrance is unattractive- in an alley past garbage cans and the apartment has limited natural light. It is squeaky clean.

The host really wanted us to feel comfortable and feel like we are at home. they were present whenever we needed help. location-wise, I liked it, in a safe back alley right next to cafes and metro station. once you figure out how to locate it, it is not hard to navigate yourself around the neighborhood. We really appreciated Home Sweet City's meticulously detailed instructions and responsiveness throughout our stay. The property precisely matched the photos and clearly represents how they take pride in managing it. It is true--as the instructions acknowledge from the outset--that sounds travel quite easily from floors overhead and from the unit next door, but fortunately we found that to be the case only in the kitchen/living room area, not in the bedroom. The neighborhood is very bucolic and walkable, and indeed mere minutes from the Dupont Metro.
