We had such a great stay with our whole family, including grandparents and a toddler. Everything was as super clean and comfortable and an easy walk to the metro to explore. We had to contact the after hours line at check in and they were so responsive and helpful! We would definitely stay again!

Our hosts were great and very responsive. It’s a little pricey for the location and distance from everything. It did have four bedrooms which was great, but one of the shared bathroom’s doors wouldn’t close all the way. Two couches to hangout at: one on the main level and one in the basement. It’s the perfect space if you’re just looking for a good place to sleep at night rather than hangout at all day. My sixth time visiting DC and this was pretty good👍🏼

Our family of 5 had a great stay! A few things for future families – it’s about a 6-7 min walk to the metro (easy!), there are 2 king beds and a twin bed upstairs, and a private basement en-suite with a kitchenette. Comfy beds! We didn’t do any cooking, but it had the basics for people who plan to. No issues with noise – quiet neighborhood. Would recommend!

Home Sweet City’s accommodations provided the perfect place for me and my cohorts first week of classes. We enjoyed the spacious living room and kitchen as well as the bedrooms. The location is ideal for both getting into town and staying in a cozy neighborhood!

Highly recommend this place if staying with family members. Super homey and relaxing environment with great amenities. Clean and comfortable for everyone. Host was very friendly and responsive. Would definitely book this place again!

We stayed here for the first time for National Police Week. We had a great experience and found the home to be adequate for our needs. The neighborhood was great and wasn’t sketchy at all.

The photos didn’t fully capture how stunning the home truly is! It was beautifully decorated, incredibly spacious, and impeccably clean. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful during my arrival.

Our stay was good. The pros were: – Location (walkable and nice) Dedicated parking spot – Easy access – great master bathroom – Easy checkin and checkout procedures for sure. The cons were similar to other reviews: – only a small couch in living room. Why not add more seating? – fire alarm went off for no reason BUT there was no code provided to turn it off. Had to call support as it rang out for 5 minutes. Why not provide that code? – kitchen was good but no real frying pans or baking dishes…..etc. Overall was a good stay.

Thank you. This space was a gracious home for our whole family to gather for our holiday. We appreciated the well appointed kitchen and the open lay out. The hosts were very responsive and helpful, and the neighborhood was easy to navigate for metro, grocery stores, etc. We will be happy to recommend this place for a lovely stay in D.C.

This housing in Petworth was very nice and pleasant to stay. Convenient as easy access to DC center through metro, and the neighborhood is also very cosy. The house itself is so nicely equipped, and we really enjoyed stay here for one week.

Great stay!

I liked the Airbnb. It was easy to find and was in an easy to access location. There are many coffee shops and stores close by. Prime location. It was a very clean unit with a great backyard and good overall rooms. Comfortable space.

Loved the convenient location 5min walk to metro! The upstairs beds were so comfortable! Only thing I would change is adding another couch to the living space for more comfortable seating with a larger group. Overall super clean and lovely home, would stay again if I ever come back.

It was priced on the high side and had a higher cleaning fee.

The house was perfect for us. We traveled to DC for a tennis tournament with 4 other players. A big plus was we all had enough hot water for showers and laundry! The accommodations were just as described and we had enough room not to feel crowded. The kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped. There are 2 w/d units which was helpful with all our daily tennis wear. The Metro is a walkable distance and the neighborhood is safe for walking. We would definitely recommend this location!

Pretty in Petworth is a quaint and renovated home in NW DC. It was the prefect location to where our family wedding festivities were located. Bonus is they have a parking spot included with the house. We recommend this place if you’re traveling to the DC area.

Clean, Clean, Clean!! Very convenient location within easy walking distance to the metro station, multiple restaurants, and grocery store. Three full floors of living space gave our family plenty of room to spread out. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials. Strengths: 1. Clean 2. Convenient location 3. Plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 teenage kids 4. Off street parking 5. Two sets of washer/dryer 6. Everything we needed included (soap, shampoo, hand soap, towels, sheets, pillows) Weaknesses: 1. Certain parts of the neighborhood were out of our midwestern country lifestyle. a. Transient people around the metro station and outside grocery store. b. Person selling herself on our walk from metro station. 2. Neighbor’s houses were not up to the caliber of this house. 3. Landscaping was very overgrown and did not match the interior upon arrival. a. Landscapers came and cleaned up. 4. Two TV’s (family room/upstairs bedroom). Overall highly recommend!!!

We enjoyed our stay.

This was a well spent time away from home. All things considered, expectations were only in our hearts, Every thing was in place for us and no questions were unanswered. Exceptional family time and a home away from home. I enjoyed the peace and friendly people in the area. We learned to use uber to keep the stress of driving out and trying to park out of the way. neighbors were helpful on that. We will be doing this again when my daughter goes to college. Safe, friendly, and a wonderful area to be in.

A beautiful home that felt more spacious than the pictures! Features that I didn’t realize we would enjoy included a sweet backyard and a jacuzzi tub in the primary, which my two kids loved!

A lovely, comfortable home away from home for our family. Very clean, nice neighborhood, no problem parking (there’s a parking spot off the alley behind the house too, which I asked permission to park in but it’s a little tight for a larger vehicle) in addition to street parking. We mostly got to/from the national mall area using Uber & Lyft (Lyft was usually cheaper especially if you can wait a few minutes) for around $15-25/trip. A couple of grocery stores and restaurants are walkable (we enjoyed Uno Mas Mexican restaurant). We cooked a couple of meals and had enough cookware but nothing fancy (no griddle, wok, or large frying pan, for instance). They did have lots of spices. The house has good water pressure. The faucets in the main bathroom upstairs are cute but really restricted, but the showers and other sinks were good. The a/c kept up pretty well but the basement is cooler. I suggested adding a couple of armchairs to the living area, since the sofa only seats 3 comfortably.

What a wonderful stay we had in this beautiful home. The hosts went above and beyond with their quick replies and additional information of the surrounding area. Something that stood out from other places we have stayed were the live plants. They were everywhere and gorgeous! It really made it feel homey. In addition to this we’re things like: playing cards (which we used for games of rummy every night), a very well stocked kitchen (literally everything you needed to make all meals), an amazing soaker/jacuzzi tub in the main bathroom, plenty of space for all and above all we felt safe and secure. Walking distance to Safeway and restaurants~ and while you were walking, admiring all the gorgeous yards! Would definitely stay here again. 10 out of 5 stars!!

Great space, wonderful neighborhood, easy to walk to restaurants and access to the Metro! We had a great time and will definitely look to stay again next time we are back in DC.

The house was very nice, in a great walkable location, and had most everything of what we needed. Nearby Safeway and metro station was fantastic, and my friends and I had a great time. Would stay again, if available the next time we visit D.C.

House was nice size, king size beds comfortable. Windows sills were very dirty so opening a window was not a good idea. Tiny ants in kitchen right away but ant baits worked. There were only a couple of drinking glasses larger than 8 ounces so were bought plastic cups, a little surprising since the description says they prefer to be green. Nice cookware but no ovenware to cook in the oven. With the age of the house, temperature was tough to regulate so we chose to just leave the heat off. A free throw blankets for the couch would be nice. Only seating for three people in the living room as well but could use the dining table chairs as well. The neighborhood is far from all the attractions such as monuments in DC and the metro was not a safe place to be after dark. Not safe to walk the five blocks back to the home after dark.

Had a nice stay at this location. It is a ten minute walk to the green line station and not so far from Safeway for groceries.The property management company is extremely responsive via their messages and over the phone. My party paid the $59 fee to get into the place at 2 pm instead of the standard 4 pm but unfortunately we were extremely early to the area so we had to wait at the park across the street for an extra hour. Doesn’t appear anyone stayed the night prior so it would have been nice to just get in as we arrived. Could use cooking utensils but there is plenty of silverware. Plumbing difficulties like jacuzzi tub drain not seating fully, basement shower setup isn’t ideal and sink drains slow. 1 hvac which is controlled by 2nd fl, this causes uneven temps in house. Company nice enough to drop off space heater for basement. We did have some pests like ants. Fire alarm went off and had to call to get code battery was low which causes beeping so code should be given in guide

Great place to stay with a group. Stayed with friends to attend meetings at DC and Bethesda and loved the place. Plenty of space, all well curated – open space, nice kitchen, comfortable beds and super clean bathroom. Kitchen is well stocked with coffee machine and loved the gramophone and the records ! Had to be out most of the times so couldn’t spend more time inside but wished we. One of the top five airbnb I have stayed at. Metro is <10 minute walk and safeway is ~5 minutes from grocery.

We loved stay at “Home sweet Home”. The location is excellent. Very accessible to restaurants, groceries,and the Metro. The house is spacious and comfortable. Having house plants made it even better.

We liked and enjoyed our stay in this home. It is exactly as advertised. We had ease in checking in and had no issue checking out. Michelle, our host, was very responsive to our querries. The issue on the defective light in one of the bedrooms was immediately addressed. Overall, our group were fully satisfied with our stay in this very clean and nice home in Petworth.

What a Gem! Great place to stay when in D.C. Beautiful home, clean, spacious, easy to find, nice neighborhood, parking in back of the house. The house was easily able to accommodate the 4 of us that stayed. I would immediately re-book again. Totally worth it!

I really like the place and decor.Location and parking with a pass were great. Unfortunately there were too many maintenance issues for top marks.The first night we discovered no hairdryer. Michelle was responsive and had us one next afternoon.We also discovered ants found our pastries on the kitchen island and had to bin them. The second night the dishwasher flooded the kitchen floor – not for the first time based on the condition of the wood floor around it.After 2 minutes water poured out the front. Luckily we were still up.The next morning the smoke detector inexplicably went off at 8 and could only be silenced by pulling the battery. Later that day the inside front door handle nearly detached when leaving for dinner. By next morning the front door no longer opened from the outside.Luckily someone was still inside.Michelle apologized when informed of all this and I understand things happen, but this was a bit too much to earn a 5 star review for a property at this price.

Home is lovely and very clean. Pictures are very accurate. I would not recommend staying here in the summer, as the home is very hot. It was in the 60’s and 70’s during the day and 40’s at night but we roasted, even with the AC being on 55. Communication was great until we got locked out with the ONE key (yes key) provided for 5 people, after which whoever left broke the already tricky door lock on the way out. Luckily we got in with a credit card easily. When I kept asking for check out instructions I was put off for days. Yes, days. I had to beg the day before we left for them as we were leaving at 6am the next morning. It’s a beautiful home and very clean, in a great neighborhood, but for these reasons and more (suggestions that I’ve shared with the host) we won’t be staying here again or recommending this home.

We were in DC for a family vacation and the home worked out great for us. We appreciated the local, walkable recommendations for restaurants and coffee houses and the ease of getting to the metro and bus. The home was just as described – would highly recommend!

We chose this location because it is close to family but also walkable. It’s very close to a coffee shop, bookstore, sweet shop, pizza and chicken. The home is easy to access and looks as pictured. The home is spotless. Great showers, comfortable beds and soft pillows. We will stay here again.

Very clean and spacious. Could have used more living room chairs. Just one couch. But overall a great place to stay and close to grocery and restaurants. Would stay here again for a DC trip.

We had a terrific stay at Pretty in Petworth. We loved the space. The accommodations were very clean and tidy. The beds were super comfy!! Home Sweet City was very accommodating and let us check in earlier than we expected, which was great because we got in so early. It was a short walk to the Metro station or a 20-minute Uber to the major sites. Highly recommend!!!

Pretty in Petworth was exactly as described on Airbnb. We totaled five family members celebrating a belated Christmas in Washington DC. The house was really charming, the beds very comfortable and everything was exactly as advertised. The location was great, and there are quite a few restaurants and amenities nearby which were walkable. We only had one issue with some odors coming up from downstairs. I contacted the property management team, they responded immediately, and addressed the situation. I would definitely recommend this location for a visit to DC, it was wonderful.

I loved staying here. Upon arriving, the house smelt so clean! I was so comfortable staying there. The house had plenty of space, was in a great location and the hosts were responsive. I would stay here again.
