We had a great stay, plenty of space for our party of 7. We were a bit worried about parking, but found free street parking directly in front of the house for our 2 vehicles (just be mindful of the street cleaning on Monday and Tuesday). We would definitely stay again!

My family and I stayed at this beautiful home in Petworth, Washington, D.C. for four nights and had a wonderful experience. The house was spotless, spacious, and perfectly suited our needs. Located in a quiet, charming neighborhood, it was close to all the major attractions and activities we wanted to explore. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. I highly recommend this place and would gladly stay here again.

Very easy check in, very responsive, and very clean! 5-15 minute uber ride to everywhere we needed to go in D.C! Was worried about the parking but we had absolutely no problems with parking all weekend!

First this place looks exactly like the pictures no surprises and actually better in person. While the homes are super close it still felt private. Enough space for 8 people comfortably and also close to almost everything pretty central in my opinion. Lastly Michelle is super responsive , accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. If I am ever doing a group trip to DC again I just hope this is available because I will book here EVERY TIME

This support team was super responsive and quickly helped us with some minor things we found at the beginning of pur stay. The kitchen looks as if new, and the overall place was very spacious. The house is about 25min drive from the National mall and the closest subway station is about 20min walking. This place is best suited if you have a car to move around if you need to get groceries or go to convenience stores. We did enjoy our stay but we weren’t comfortable walking outside at night.

The house is big but at $1800 for 3 nights, we expected a little extra.
A hotel in the city center with full breakfast and adjoining rooms was the same price for the same dates. The house is far out of town so expect to factor that in to your journey.
The Yale keypad was difficult, local dog barked incessantly, windchime across the street never stopped.
The kitchen was the main issue. Besides the abundance of knives there are no spatulas, wooden spoons or non-melted cooking utensils. The non stick pots and pans are so scratched as to make them hazardous to use (toxic leeching). There was fresh bagged coffee but when I asked about a French Press was told to use Keurig (also full of plastic micro particles).
No cling, foil, seive or other simple Amazon basics that would make this the promised 5 star experience.
There was only one towel per person, none for long hair.
There is a local shop and parking available everyday but Monday morning.

This was a fabulous place to say and great location to get to all the sites in town. We had excellent communication with the host. They provided a well thought out welcome email, which was very helpful in our trip. We also knew exactly what to expect and all rules were clear. This space is ideal for a large group to connect but also allows a group to separate and relax. The design is clean, modern and spacious. The amenities are many and intuitive. The location is in quiet neighborhood but also accessible to downtown DC. I would highly recommend this space.

Everything was as expected. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Safe & secure.
There was some confusion about our baby turning 2 and a request by the owners to increase the cost of our stay. After some back and forth, they removed the request. The baby was included in the original headcount when we booked (6 adults & 1 infant). The exchange left me on edge and uncomfortable about other unforeseen charges during our entire stay.
Other than that, it is very lovely home.

This is a wonderful place to gather a larger family group. With three bedrooms for adults and a smaller trundle-bed bedroom for children as well as three full and a half bath, there is ample room for many guests to stay comfortably. We also noticed that the living room’s sofa pulls out to a twin bed. The place is airy as far as space, completely updated, and very clean. The pictures show it perfectly. There are many great local and walkable choices for meals, and a Safeway and CVS less that a mile away if you need groceries or other items. We felt very safe walking the neighborhood and local surrounding area. People were out and friendly. We had no issues parking on the street with a larger SUV. I would highly recommend if you need a large space to call home while visiting DC.

Excellent home and provided plenty of space for my family of 7. Close enough to DC to be able to enjoy all the tourists attractions and this home was spotless with all the amenities we needed. Highly recommend and we will book this place again next year if available!

This is a sweet townhouse located in a quiet and interesting neighborhood. The townhouse has plenty of space, is well equipped and has fine amenities. The kitchen is well appointed; this is the first Air BnB we have stayed at with an InstaPot. This townhouse is located near restaurants and a grocery store. And, it is an easy ride-sharing ride to the Capitol.
If we are ever in Washington DC again, we would stay there again.

My friends and I had a great time! This spot was also very convenient to a lot of things! It was about a 25-30 minute drive to DCA. The host was very responsive, the neighbor was also very nice and gave some great suggestions for things to do around the city. The pictures did no justice, the home was beautiful! would definitely recommend staying here if you’re coming to DC!

Home Sweet City was in a great location – about a 15 ish minute walk to the nearest metro station. We walked or took the Metro everywhere we went. We were also able to walk to a couple grocery stores / markets and a couple great restaurants. (We highly recommend Mary and Mr. Braxton Bar and Kitchen – excellent food!) Home Sweet City was as described in the listing. It was easy to find and the exterior as well as the interior of the home were very clean. The space fit our family of five well. The neighborhood was quiet and well kept. The host gave detailed instructions and was quick to answer our message. We’d recommend this as a great option for people wanting to explore D. C. and its surrounding areas.

Great stay! Very nicely remodeled townhome. Not the quickest walk to most of DC’s attractions, but less than 30 minutes from most. A couple good coffee shops and restaurants within a 5 min walk. Would stay here again.

This house is perfect! Everything–from check-in to the provided guides to the house itself–was wonderful. The house is immaculate with lots of space for a family or group of friends. Overall I had a pleasant experience, however, there were a few areas that need attention.
However, I did have a few concerns. The second bathroom did not have a bath mat, making the tub alarmingly slippery. My mother, who is in her late 80s, was scared to use the shower because of the potential danger. The door to the washer and dryer was also difficult to open and fell off track. Additionally, we noticed ants in a couple of the bedrooms, and I even got bitten by one while sleeping. These issue should be addressed promptly to ensure future guests have a more comfortable stay.
The air conditioning was another concern. It worked inconsistently, particularly at night, which caused us to wake up feeling hot. Proper adjustment or maintenance of the AC system would greatly improve the overall experience.
Despite these issues, the host was responsive and the positive aspects of the home made our stay enjoyable. With a few improvements, this Airbnb could easily be a five-star experience.

Our family of 4 had a comfortable stay for our DC vacation. The house is very nicely furnished and most everything you could want was provided. We were thankful for the washer & dryer! It’s about a 10 minute walk to the metro but we ended up ride sharing a lot because of the weather. It has close proximity to some good restaurants (Timber Pizza and Honeymoon Chicken were our favorites) and a couple of grocery stores.

My family and I stayed here for a week and it was great. It had all the amenities you would expect from a nice hotel and then some. It felt like being in your own home. It was in December and they even had a beautiful Christmas tree up!

Comfortable home. Looks like the pictures. Brand new kitchen. Easy communication with the host. We had one issue with a disruptively noisy washer/dryer which would go on randomly. The owner did stop by right away but did not know how to disconnect the appliances so the random noise continued. Otherwise a very nice place within walking distance from the metro, a nice organic market, and call your mother bagels.

Wonderful place to stay with a big family. Parking was the only negative only because it’s not dedicated. Otherwise, easy to find just have to be ok with a walk a block away or so from the home. .
The home is spacious and the electric fireplace is a nice touch for an evening.
Neighbors are friendly and proud of their neighborhood.
Definitely a place worth staying and would do so again.

We greatly enjoyed our stay. The home was spotless and looked just like the photos on the listing. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was perfect. There was even a folder with manuals for all of the appliances, for example.
The house is on a quiet street. The only noise was from sirens but none from the neighbors. We usually had no problem with finding parking but did occasionally have to park on another street.
Although we had no issues, I did need to communicate with Home Sweet City and they promptly responded.
I highly recommend staying in this lovely home.

Great home, perfect for our family staying a little less than a week. Comfortable, clean space, just what is needed. Quick access to local groceries or to get them delivered, well equipped kitchen, cooked each day without any issues. New appliances, comfortable beds, good layout. Easy to get downtown and to the capital region, and parking was always available on the street.

Our family of 7 stayed here over the Christmas holiday. It was nicely set up, with enough space for all of us. Unlike some other potential rentals, the kitchen and dining area was much large and could accommodate all of us. The table sits 8, and there is another cafe table with two chairs in the kitchen nearby. All of the appliances in the kitchen and the laundry were very nice.
The thermostat and temperature were a bit tricky to control, with it getting too hot upstairs and too cold downstairs. We were staying in an unusually cold week, and we were still able to figure it out after the first night.
Parking on the street was very easy. We never had to hunt for a spot, but we did seem to take the last spot on the block a couple of times. There were a few rowdy neighbors late at night, a few loud dogs, and a car alarm — all in the middle of the night over the course of the week. The noise was nothing that was very unusual for an urban setting, with the exception of the alarm.

There was some confusion about our baby turning 2 and a request by the owners to increase the cost of our stay. After some back and forth, they removed the request. The baby was included in the original headcount when we booked (6 adults & 1 infant). The exchange left me on edge and uncomfortable about other unforeseen charges during our entire stay.
Other than that, it is very lovely home.

This is a wonderful place to gather a larger family group. With three bedrooms for adults and a smaller trundle-bed bedroom for children as well as three full and a half bath, there is ample room for many guests to stay comfortably. We also noticed that the living room's sofa pulls out to a twin bed. The place is airy as far as space, completely updated, and very clean. The pictures show it perfectly. There are many great local and walkable choices for meals, and a Safeway and CVS less that a mile away if you need groceries or other items. We felt very safe walking the neighborhood and local surrounding area. People were out and friendly. We had no issues parking on the street with a larger SUV. I would highly recommend if you need a large space to call home while visiting DC.

Excellent home and provided plenty of space for my family of 7. Close enough to DC to be able to enjoy all the tourists attractions and this home was spotless with all the amenities we needed. Highly recommend and we will book this place again next year if available!

This is a sweet townhouse located in a quiet and interesting neighborhood. The townhouse has plenty of space, is well equipped and has fine amenities. The kitchen is well appointed; this is the first Air BnB we have stayed at with an InstaPot. This townhouse is located near restaurants and a grocery store. And, it is an easy ride-sharing ride to the Capitol.
If we are ever in Washington DC again, we would stay there again.

My friends and I had a great time! This spot was also very convenient to a lot of things! It was about a 25-30 minute drive to DCA. The host was very responsive, the neighbor was also very nice and gave some great suggestions for things to do around the city. The pictures did no justice, the home was beautiful! would definitely recommend staying here if you’re coming to DC!

Home Sweet City was in a great location - about a 15 ish minute walk to the nearest metro station. We walked or took the Metro everywhere we went. We were also able to walk to a couple grocery stores / markets and a couple great restaurants. (We highly recommend Mary and Mr. Braxton Bar and Kitchen - excellent food!) Home Sweet City was as described in the listing. It was easy to find and the exterior as well as the interior of the home were very clean. The space fit our family of five well. The neighborhood was quiet and well kept. The host gave detailed instructions and was quick to answer our message. We’d recommend this as a great option for people wanting to explore D. C. and its surrounding areas.

Great stay! Very nicely remodeled townhome. Not the quickest walk to most of DC's attractions, but less than 30 minutes from most. A couple good coffee shops and restaurants within a 5 min walk. Would stay here again.

This house is perfect! Everything--from check-in to the provided guides to the house itself--was wonderful. The house is immaculate with lots of space for a family or group of friends. It was convenient to lots of things that we wanted to do, while also being very quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend!

Overall I had a pleasant experience, however, there were a few areas that need attention.
However, I did have a few concerns. The second bathroom did not have a bath mat, making the tub alarmingly slippery. My mother, who is in her late 80s, was scared to use the shower because of the potential danger. The door to the washer and dryer was also difficult to open and fell off track. Additionally, we noticed ants in a couple of the bedrooms, and I even got bitten by one while sleeping. These issue should be addressed promptly to ensure future guests have a more comfortable stay.
The air conditioning was another concern. It worked inconsistently, particularly at night, which caused us to wake up feeling hot. Proper adjustment or maintenance of the AC system would greatly improve the overall experience.
Despite these issues, the host was responsive and the positive aspects of the home made our stay enjoyable. With a few improvements, this Airbnb could easily be a five-star experience.

Our family of 4 had a comfortable stay for our DC vacation. The house is very nicely furnished and most everything you could want was provided. We were thankful for the washer & dryer! It’s about a 10 minute walk to the metro but we ended up ride sharing a lot because of the weather. It has close proximity to some good restaurants (Timber Pizza and Honeymoon Chicken were our favorites) and a couple of grocery stores.

My family and I stayed here for a week and it was great. It had all the amenities you would expect from a nice hotel and then some. It felt like being in your own home. It was in December and they even had a beautiful Christmas tree up!

Comfortable home. Looks like the pictures. Brand new kitchen. Easy communication with the host. We had one issue with a disruptively noisy washer/dryer which would go on randomly. The owner did stop by right away but did not know how to disconnect the appliances so the random noise continued. Otherwise a very nice place within walking distance from the metro, a nice organic market, and call your mother bagels.

Wonderful place to stay with a big family. Parking was the only negative only because it's not dedicated. Otherwise, easy to find just have to be ok with a walk a block away or so from the home. .
The home is spacious and the electric fireplace is a nice touch for an evening.
Neighbors are friendly and proud of their neighborhood.
Definitely a place worth staying and would do so again.

We greatly enjoyed our stay. The home was spotless and looked just like the photos on the listing. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was perfect. There was even a folder with manuals for all of the appliances, for example.
The house is on a quiet street. The only noise was from sirens but none from the neighbors. We usually had no problem with finding parking but did occasionally have to park on another street.
Although we had no issues, I did need to communicate with Home Sweet City and they promptly responded.
I highly recommend staying in this lovely home.

Wonderful house, everything exactly as described. Super comfortable beds, lots of lights, good taste everywhere, great appliances and equipment. Great response time, too. We had a minor issue when we arrived (there was a lot of trash and some dirt in one of the toilets) but other than that the experience was fantastic from beginning to end.

Great home, perfect for our family staying a little less than a week. Comfortable, clean space, just what is needed. Quick access to local groceries or to get them delivered, well equipped kitchen, cooked each day without any issues. New appliances, comfortable beds, good layout. Easy to get downtown and to the capital region, and parking was always available on the street.

Our family of 7 stayed here over the Christmas holiday. It was nicely set up, with enough space for all of us. Unlike some other potential rentals, the kitchen and dining area was much large and could accommodate all of us. The table sits 8, and there is another cafe table with two chairs in the kitchen nearby. All of the appliances in the kitchen and the laundry were very nice.
The thermostat and temperature were a bit tricky to control, with it getting too hot upstairs and too cold downstairs. We were staying in an unusually cold week, and we were still able to figure it out after the first night.
Parking on the street was very easy. We never had to hunt for a spot, but we did seem to take the last spot on the block a couple of times. There were a few rowdy neighbors late at night, a few loud dogs, and a car alarm -- all in the middle of the night over the course of the week. The noise was nothing that was very unusual for an urban setting, with the exception of the alarm.
