the Airbnb was a great spot for my friends and I to enjoy a weekend in DC. the Metro system was extremely convenient to the Airbnb which made getting into the heart of DC a breeze. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had anything you needed to make a simple dinner. Above the unit there is a dog that you can hear occasionally bark, but it wasn’t very often till the last day for some reason, nothing terrible, but it is something to be aware of if you like sleeping in later than we were. Overall, it was a great experience and the hosts were very responsive and kind in communication. I would definitely book here again.

only thing that bothered me was the upstairs neighbor dog barking thru out the night, assuming that someone was smoking in and at the residence constantly but that was not the case. The banging on the floor. But overall, definitely love the area, everything is in close access. Easy commute to different things in a timely manner.

We had a great stay at this Airbnb! The place was clean, well-maintained, and perfectly located being just a short walk to both the metro and a nearby grocery store. We also loved how walkable the neighborhood was, full of cute restaurants and shops. There was more than enough space for our family of five, and we really appreciated how responsive and helpful the hosts were, even after hours. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay. We’d definitely come back!

Comfortable, clean basement apartment for four of us. We were using the Metro to get around and the location was super for that. Grocery store and a few restaurants nearby. We did have some early morning noise issues from upstairs (recommend earplugs) but otherwise great.

Absolutely fantastic place. The neighborhood especially was great with groceries, lots of going out options, and the metro all within a minute or two walk. I’m hoping we’ll be able to book it again in future trips to DC

Our stay here was great! Home was exactly as described. I’m always afraid of how places smelled and this place was totally fine. It was just a couple minutes walk to the metro. The hosts were very quick to respond to questions. There is a dog upstairs and we heard a lot of scratching and people walking upstairs. Parking was free, which is a great perk. We would definitely stay here again!

The stay was lovely, only remark is the thin walls making it really easy to hear dogs barking and babies crying from the residents upstairs. Other than that very much satisfied

We had a great stay. The apartment was clear, the hosts were responsive, and a super convenient walk to the grocery store and Metro spot. Kitchen had everything you’d need, and have great extra touches like local coffee and tea.

I stayed here for a work trip and it was exactly as described. The location is outside of central D.C., but the location was accessible and easy to get around. The place was extremely clean and beat all of my team’s expectations as far as value went. The place does have a washer and dryer, and there are three rooms. Two with a queen bed and one with a twin futon. There’s also a sofa bed in the den which could fit an additional person. We were three people, but the place could easily sleep six. There were plenty of utensils and fridge space. There’s a hot plate also underneath the microwave which isn’t obvious but it’s there if you need it. There’s a grocery store right across the street which was extremely convenient. The place is located underneath another residence. There is a dog upstairs and the soundproofing isn’t the best. But for the value this place really couldn’t be beat, and we’d stay here again if we ever find ourselves back in D.C. Thanks for having us. It was great.

Lovely home, great location

This home was everything it was advertised as. It was very clean and the host was very responsive and accommodating. The home is in a decent part of dc that’s walkable and by the metro. My friends and I felt very safe both during the day and at night and would for sure consider staying here again next time we are in town.

Our stay was good. When we arrived, we were a little surprised by the decor. But we looked at the details and saw that there was still room for improvement: There was spoiled and moldy food in the freezer, and there were some long hairs on the sheets and pillows. The air in the house was a little unpleasant, it was very hot. The neighbor in the apartment upstairs was making a lot of noise, including running around at night, and seemed to have a pet. The shower floor seemed to have some stains. We found live insects in all the rooms, mainly cockroaches. The area seems to be very busy and a little dangerous. But we didn’t stay inside the house much. Thank you in advance.

Home Sweet City was a great stay for me and my friends. The place looks just as pictured and was very clean, easily accessible, and in great walking distance to all necessities. I will say that parking is very slim to none so be prepared to walk or uber upon finding a space but other than that everything was great and nothing came as a surprise to us. They were fast to respond to all questions and concerns and were very accommodating. We will definitely be returning for our next visit to D.C!

Space is clean

Really good price for the location and size. We have four children so it’s always a challenge finding a place when we travel to big cities. It was VERY CLEAN, great shower, cool, and within a short drive to all DC has to offer.

We had a very successful stay here in DC! Home was cute, comfortable, easily accessible with the metro with a grocery store literally seconds aways and necessities right there. Only 1 bathroom and 6 people but we made it work perfectly. Mind you it’s a basement and a family w/ dogs are living upstairs so it can be a little loud noisy at times but other than that, totally recommend it!

The space was super convenient! Two blocks from the metro and across the street from a grocery store. Clean and comfortable. Lots of space, washer and dryer, delicious tea and coffee. No stove (in case you want to cook, that’s not an option here). Yes, you can hear the dog walking upstairs and some footsteps (this is a basement apartment), but not much overall. We usually didn’t hear much noise after 10 pm or before 8:00/8:30 am. It was very easy to fall asleep after a long day. We would definitely stay here again!

Home Sweet City in Randolf was such a great place to stay in Washington, DC. The location was strategic with the nearest Safeway grocery, Starbucks, and Wendy’s for your basic needs and convenience. Their admins where always on point when needed from booking up to your departure in the place. Kudos Home Sweet City for giving us an alternative place where we can save a lot of penny during our to stay in Washington, DC.

This is a great AirBNB for a group. It is very conveniently located, we had some lovely walks and the metro is right there. The apartment is spacious and well equipped. There are some aspects that just come with basement living- there is audible noise from the home above, we kept the windows open for circulation- but overall it is a great home base for a DC trip. The host is very communicative.

This is a perfect place to stay for a DC family vacation. Metro station is literally around the corner and all of the DC sites and museums are just a short metro ride away. There’s a grocery store next door and many great dining options within very close walking distance. Highly recommend.

As stated in description sound from upstairs is clearly audible so if you’re a light sleeper like my husband it’s something to consider otherwise the rest of us didn’t mind. Our stay was very pleasant! The unit is updated and felt very comfy. There are neighbors upstairs which can be a little noisy at times just because of the unit being on the lower level, but it wasn’t too bothersome. Overall, would stay here again!

All went well

The Airbnb was very clean with spacious rooms. It was well decorated and welcoming. It had everything you could think of (soap, paper towels, shampoo, body wash, you name it.) The owners thought of every single detail. The beds were comfortable. They provided fluffy towels with the wonderful shower (best shower head pressure) perfect after a day of exploring. Location was close to stores and the bonus was the walking distance to Starbucks!

Home was beautiful and clean! Easily accessible from the street and in a great neighborhood, seconds from a Safeway and Starbucks, and a minute away from Dunkin. About 20 minutes from the Capitol and all the Smithsonian buildings too. We were left with great instructions to set up parking passes for the road, and rules of the house. Mind you it is a basement, but it doesn’t feel like one at all! Was more than spacious for the 6 of us, and was beautifully furnished! Enjoyed our stay in this lovely home!

The people at Home Sweet City were incredibly accommodating and reached out to make sure that everything was to our liking, as well as to give further instructions.
