Beautiful space

Literally a home away from home – such a great townhome having everything you could possibly need. Super cute, clean and cozy. It was perfect for our one week stay in DC. The location is very accessible, close to downtown, and the neighborhood is nice and quiet. Great hosts as well, always responsive and helpful. Definitely recommend and would stay here again!

This place is awesome. Even better than the photos and the descriptions. The place is relatively newly renovated with style and great amenities. The kitchen is fantastic and the primary bath shower is luxurious. Perfect for two individuals or two couples.

Positive: We really loved everything about our stay. The house is well-kept, clean, and has everything one could need — and even more. The shower deserves a special mention — it was so nice that I now want the same one at home!

We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and well equipped. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. It is a 10-20 min. walk to the Whole Foods, subway, and restaurants.

The place was clean. Host very responsive. It was what what it said on the ‘tin’. A comfortable place to stay. supermarket 8min walk, restaurants 15min walk.

This was one of the best Airbnb places I have stayed in. It is beautifully decorated and with high quality amenities. You won’t be disappointed. Place is quiet and the fact that we can receive a free parking permit is a great addition

Definitely the best airbnb I’ve lived!

I visited with my husband and my in-laws. It was their first time visiting D.C. and we were attending a Howard University graduation. We were all blown away by the aesthetics and beauty of the home as soon as we walked in. The place was very clean, comfortable and cozy. The instructions were very clear for check-in and check-out. Of note, the WIFI password on the printed document in the home differed from the one in the welcome message and instructions, but we quickly figured that out. The location was in walking distance to the graduation location which was a plus! If I visit D.C. again, I would hope this place is available again! Thank you!

Well it felt like i never left my house and boom i was in DC as soon as i steped out of the door. Parking was right outside the house, the house is beautiful. Overall would recommend to anyone that are planing to go DC. Thankyou to the host for quick responses. Very clean and the neighborhood was great, cherry blossoms, filled the streets just like we imagined.

I loved everything about my experience

Thank you for sharing you space and responding to our requests. The new water cattle is made out of black plastic. Reports have shown that black plastic should not be exposed to heat as it is toxic. Sorry but please exchange it, also you might want to get rid of your black kitchen utensils, thank you!

It has a really well-stocked kitchen, is super clean, and is a perfect location for getting around the city. Would absolutely stay there again.

Great unit (clean, comfortable, well set up) in a great location! The hosts were very helpful when we were sorting parking (at the last minute too, our bad), however they did not respond to a reservation change request I made for a month, until I cancelled it. Otherwise they were very responsive and friendly. I appreciated the property guide they compiled, very thorough.

Stayed here while my daughter was checking out Howard. It was a fantastic location for this purpose. If my daughter chooses to attend Howard, I’ll definitely make this my DC home base.

The space is conveniently located and the hosts are responsive/proactive. The instructions for accessing the space were clear and all of my questions were answered promptly. I didn’t have much difficulty parking in the neighborhood and the guest parking pass provided by the host was super helpful. The neighborhood was quiet and a great place to relax after a long day. I’d definitely recommend staying here!

Really nice place for a long weekend visiting our son at Howard U. Easy walking distance to University and other restaurants. Hosts were really easy to work with. We will try to reserve again in the future:)

We had an amazing stay! The property was as described: clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. It is just a 15-minute Uber or Lyft ride to the White House and a 20 to 30-minute walk to 14th Street, where all the nice restaurants are located.

Classic English basement apartment in DC. Entrance through safe alley- very typical for DC. Easy to get parking permit and park on the street. Clean and comfy. Amazing value!!

Cozy and comfortable. Great communication and thorough instructions to get to the location. Stairs are a little steep, but wasn’t too hard to get luggage up and down. White astechic was nice.

Great place to stay overall. The apartment was clean and had a nice, secluded feel. The entrance is in an alley, so like most spots in DC, you’ll see some rats around. I wasn’t thrilled about having to take the trash out myself, especially since I had to walk through the alley and around the block to get to the bins out front. Aside from that, the stay was great. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials, and there was even a Brita with cold water in the fridge. I would stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay with Home Sweet City. There was plenty of space in both the bedroom and the main area. The bathroom was very aestetically designed, especially the shower and sink. The kitchenette was well equipped, and the provided amenities were very nice. The full sized refrigerator, stove, cookware, toaster oven and kitchen knives were all nice to have. Free street parking was included, it just required a printed permit. It very quiet, which was also nice and allowed us to get much needed rest. The location was perfect if you’re trying to see the capitol mall area and other sights/museums. It was close enough to get places quickly by car, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist spots. Overall our stay was very comfortable.

The Airbnb is beautiful. So clean and has everything you would need (except a wine opener). It’s a bit tricky to park. You need to find and print out all the required permits, we were on a road trip so we had to go find a printer somewhere, then you leave your car far away from the Airbnb in the rain and pray that it’s not street cleaning day, then walk through a back alley to get to the place. Once you are in, it is so nice. I stay in a lot of Airbnbs, and this particular one had a lot of cleaning requirements, considering you are charged for cleaning. There are instructions about stripping the bed, taking the towels out, emptying the garbages and finding the garbage cans out on the street to throw it out before you leave. We had to put the garbage bags in our car and go drive and find the front of the house to throw out the garbage so that was less than ideal. We had an amazing dinner at the little Italian restaurant right next-door, so I highly recommend that!

A nice place to stay if you are planning on visiting Washington DC

Very nice spot for exploring DC. A comfortable place to come home to, and a very friendly host experience.

This was the perfect place for our short stay. It had everything we needed was clean and organized and super cute. Check-in was very easy and our host was there to answer all pur questions.

Great place to stay. The only limitation is that the entry is through an alley which makes loading/unloading and trash cleanup a bit difficult, otherwise it is a great place to stay in DC and the hosts are very easy to communicate with! Would recommend to anyone.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights for a work-related trip. It looked like the photos, it was spacious and worth the price. The hosts were responsive and accommodating when we wanted to extend our check out time. I would stay here again and definitely recommend to others.

It was my first stay in Washington. Comparing to NYC experience, I totally satisfied, excited and happy of being in Washington. Very clean, organized apartment. Felt like at home .

Great location, comfortable and safe!

House was really good. It had all amenities and even extra liquids for refillable bottles (soap, body wash, shampoo, etc). It missed a kettle, but they provided coffee machine (which was a bit dirty and difficult to clean). Important to note that there is a dark staircase in the apartment, which leads to another apartment above (this one is located in basement). Door was locked, but still we clearly heard owners of the place above. On the first day we had difficulties connecting to WiFi, so we contacted host company. After we contacted them, they started for some reason asking about our personal info, reason to travel, and after that demanded a deposit, because, “renter didn’t have at least one 5-star review”. They were asking for $500. We wrote a message back, stating that this has never appeared on the contract, and after about 17hrs full of stress they responded saying it was a mistake. We never wanted to contact host again, however, overall experience at this house was pleasant.

Can hear footsteps upstairs, but never too loud or disturbing. Easy walk to the subway and Ben’s Chili Bowl. Overall, quiet and a great place to visit. Highly recommend!

Extremely clean and well appointed place. As described in other reviews. Basement so little natural light. Aside: if you want a parking permit you need to print it ahead of time. But first you need the license plate, which makes it challenging to get permit if you’re renting a car just before coming to Airbnb.

I loved the location and the rainfall shower head. The apartment was large and very clean. The hosts were amazing too!

What an incredible stay! Amazing location if your a tourist wanting to explore, great to bike to places. We were shocked at how much was provided for our use if we wished, from umbrellas to makeup remover wipes to condiments and seasonings. A beautiful and very spacious place to stay!

As a DC native I would happily stay here again. Private, VERY easy check in, safe neighborhood, and the perfect amount of space for a couple or one couple and a friend (what we did).

I visited DC to attend my daughter’s graduation from Howard University. This spot is located a few blocks from the university and not far from the Columbia Heights Metro Station. And a parking pass was provided. So whether driving in or flying, if you are visiting for HU campus related events(move in, move out, etc.) I highly recommend this airBNB.

Very clean and nice apartment. The host gave very clear instructions how to locate and access the apartment. Location was great, only like a 20 minute walk from downtown. Only like a 3-5 minute Uber if you don’t like walking. We were very satisfied with the location and would definitely re-book if we come to DC again!
