This is a great location in DuPont circle! This VRBO is very close to the Metro and walkable to lots of great restaurants and shops. We primarily booked this location because of its accessibility to various activities, and relied on the metro or just walking to get around.As a family of three with a 4yo kiddo, we found this apartment to be just the right size. We gave our kid the bedroom, and we slept on the sofa bed. The sofa bed was surprisingly pretty comfortable! The host/team was very communicative and answered all the questions we had very promptly. There was a hiccup in our travel and they were very accommodating. Overall, an awesome team! We would certainly stay here again in the future.

Only suggestion is a parking spot, it was a cute place will definitely go again.

This place is perfect if you want to clean, quiet place to stay while in D.C. It is like a cave, so if you need outside views, you might feel a little claustrophobic. I found it to be very clean and tidy. The Nespresso machine was a really nice touch. You cannot beat the location. I was here for a conference and really only needed a place to sleep as I was constantly coming and going. So many cafes, restaurants, pubs and eateries in the area. I hope it's available when I come back next year.

Great location near Du Point circle - back alley entrance isn’t a concern only a short walk and in a nice area - we tended to come in from the top end as it was closer to the entrance. Close to local shops and metro only 4 min walk away - market on a Sunday right outside aswell. Recommended.

Positive: The location was very convenient, and the space itself was well-suited for me. As advertised, the apartment included a good range of appliances and basic necessities. However, it quickly became clear that the condition of the flat had changed since my friend—who recommended it—last stayed there. Negative: There were maintenance and usability issues. The tea kettle had a broken release mechanism, and there were no instructions provided for the pod coffee maker. Additionally, nearby construction made the environment noisy at times. More concerning was the condition of the refrigerator, which had clearly not been working properly for some time. There was mini-fridge on site with a note suggesting it was a temporary workaround, indicating the issue had been ongoing. However, the mini-fridge was unplugged and needed cooling before using. When I reported this, the management company did respond in a reasonable timeframe and offered to send a technician during or after my stay. However, resolving a major appliance issue is not something a guest should have to deal with, especially since this was a known issue. It’s unfortunate that the owner has entrusted the property to a management company that does not appear to be attentive to the care and upkeep. While expectations for guests were clearly communicated, there was little effort to make up for the inconveniences caused by these unresolved issues.

Great stay!!! The apartment exceeded our needs, very clean, just enough for my 2 teenagers and I. Very comfortable beds (queen and a pullout couch), spacious bathroom, nice small kitchen area. This spot is located about a 5 minute walk from the red line metro, with a lot of restaurants around. I would definitely book again.

The location is Great. Being able to walk around the corner to the Metro station is amazing. Mission is right around the corner, the queso and sliders are awesome. The place was clean and had everything I needed for my weekend stay.

Convenient place to stay if you need to come to D.C. for meetings, right next to the biggest train station that will take you to anywhere in D.C. since this is a basement type of room, foot steps of the people above might be distracting for light sleeper. Other than that it's 100% accurate to the host description.

this is a great airbnb. you walk out of the metro and you're a block and a half from the room. truthfully, it had the best bed i've ever had in an airbnb. but, the best thing was the communication. michelle was helpful, engaged and quickly responsive. getting to and into the room was made, by her, very easy.

The space was very private and is at an excellent location right by the metro that was a huge advantage to get around DC.

Can’t beat the location. Two minutes walk to metro station at the heart of DuPont circle. Room is in lower level near the garage, had everything I need.

We stayed at the apartment for three nights in December 2025. The apartment is in the historic DuPont Circle neighborhood and only a few minutes by foot from the DuPont Circle metro stop. This puts most of DC’s attractions, including the museums and monuments, only a short trip away. Check-in was very easy with two key codes that were provided with the check-in instructions. The entrance is at the back in an alley, so be sure to follow the instructions closely or look at Google Maps before you arrive. One thing to note is that this is a basement apartment and footsteps and the sounds of daily life are heard from upstairs. This isn’t a big problem if you’re used to some city noise, but if you’re a light sleeper or sensitive to noise you may want to take this into account. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and convenient and we would stay here again.

This apartment was perfect for our 3-night DC stay. 5 minutes from the Dupont Circle Metro, 1 minute to the Phillips Collection. Lots of places to dine nearby. The apartment is cozy, with a well-equipped kitchen, including coffee, tea, spices, cooking oil (not that we did much cooking).

Great location, tastefully decorated, comfortable bed, fully stocked with all of the amenities (including a diffiser hair dryer ladies and gents!). A little hard to find the first night but the host was incredibly responsive and helped provide a step by step guide to the entrance.Thanks for the comfortable stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place was the perfect size for two to comfortably stay. There is a nice queen sized bed and a pullout sofa if need be. The kitchen was fairly well equipped and utile. The bathroom comfortable and clean. I might recommend another towel hook or two on the door or wall. The location is quiet. We found the premises clean, bug and varmint free (rare for DC in my experience). Though we did see a couple of rodents scurrying around in the alley way, but its a city after all. Make sure you plan for lack of laundry facilities. Lots of lovely food options nearby. Short walk to Dupont Circle Metro, Georgetown, Adams Morgan, Logan Circle, GWU, the White House, etc. All in all a lovely spot.

We had a great stay at this cozy basement apartment in Dupont! It's a great location just off the Metro with access to everything the neighborhood has to offer. Everything in the apartment was comfortable and clean, with a special shoutout to the pull-out couch! Would definitely stay here again on future visits to DC.

Home Sweet City communicated promptly and gave us all the details we needed to know, plus recommendations. They answered all of my questions and their place was clean and nice. Amenities are extra nice with black make up removal towel, and yoga mat, dumbbells, Brita filter water jug. They gave me an extra hour for checking out because we usually have difficult time getting our son out of bed without extra charges. We ended up checked out on time but it was sweet that they let us do that. Will definitely book with them again when we come back to DC.

Positive: Very well appointed apartment with all the amenities for a short stay. I loved having shower stuff as well as tools for breakfast provided. Codes worked great. It was close to subway and easy walk to attractions if we wanted to stretch our legs. Hosts were alos very responsive when I asked about parking and I found a spot 7 minuted walk from property. Negative: I would have appreciated another hour on either check in or checkout. I didn't specifically need it so I didn't ask but it would have been nice.

If arriving in DC by any means other than driving, I highly recommend this place. However, if driving, parking is a nightmare & very expensive. Hours for parking garages are wonky & inconvenient. Highly suggest owners list recommended parking garages for renters on site to be helpful. Street parking is laughable. As far as the apartment, everything was great. Just as pictured & as described. Only complaint would be not enough closet, storage or counter space. No where to unpack your things. Lived out of suitcase the whole week. Also, this is perfect for 2 people, but anymore & it’s crowded. We had 3 of us & we were only supplied 3 towels/wash rags for the whole week so we all used the same towel during our stay. Kitchen was well stocked to accommodate any meal prep. The metro is perfectly convenient as it is just a few steps from the apartment & is a straight shot to the W.H, National mall, and the Capital. Very quiet, very clean, very safe.

The condo is in a fabulous location. It’s really near restaurants in DuPont and the metro and practically across the street from the Philips. The place itself is cute. Because the place was run by a management company there was a cumbersome registration process and it wasn’t at all “personal”. One thing we didn’t realize is that it was accessed down an alley way. I was staying with another older female friend and we mostly stayed together but the one night I walked alone was a tiny but nerve wracking. The place was mostly quite comfortable right there cupboard to store clothes was a little rickety and had no drawers. The bathroom sink had no counter space to speak of so was a bit awkward. The shower was great though. Overall the location and tidiness of the space made it a good stay.

The place was clean and had decent amenities however the location was just not we expected. It was very difficult to find the actually location. The neighbors were so loud. They stumped and ran upstairs in the middle of the night so much so that I couldn’t get a decent sleep.

I am happy how quick customer service responding. It is great location. The noise from the upstair floor very disturbing on flthe first 2 days, the situa was better after report this issued to Home owner.

This place was in a really great location and was spotless, quiet and comfortable. Just a short walk to EVERYTHING which was absolutely perfect.

This was a basement unit, which we expected, but the space had a noticeable smell. We had to run the bathroom fan constantly to make it more bearable. The biggest issue was the lighting. The bathroom light fixture went out early in our stay, leaving the bathroom mostly dark. We told the host right away, but they said they couldn’t do anything about it during our stay. This made getting ready pretty inconvenient. Toward the end of the trip, the bedroom light also started flickering. I didn’t report that since the host had already said they weren’t able to help with the bathroom issue. The location was great, but the lack of attention to basic maintenance made the stay less comfortable than it should have been.

Returned to DC for a visit as I had lived in the city 45 years earlier. The accommodations and communications were top notch. Just a few minutes away from the Metro and area restaurants vibrant area highly recommend.

This cozy apartment is perfect for 2 or 3 people. Bed was comfortable with nice linens. My adult son even admitted the sofa bed was nice with it's gel mattress...no bars in your back! Kitchen was well stocked and plenty of bathroom supplies. Location is in one of the most beautiful DC neighborhoods. It is walkable to most popular places and the Dupont circle metro is 1 block away for those sights that are a little farther. Several restaurants and shops are a short walk away. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

This was the perfect spot for my family of three. The neighborhood was beautiful with lots of food options within walking distance. We didn’t have a car so the close proximity to the metro stop was great. The sleeper sofa was very comfortable. Hosts were responsive and helpful. The place was pristine. The kitchen was well equipped for the small meals we prepared. We will definitely stay here again on future trips to DC.

We had an excellent stay here. The place was the perfect size for our needs, was well kept and had all of the amenities to make our stay comfortable. Hosts were proactive and clear in communicating with us and made sure we had all of the information we needed to get in and around with ease. Only downside would be that the unit does not include parking, so we had to pay for a nearby garage and the alley was very icy, which made walking out to the metro a bit of a trick. Other than that, it was everything we hoped for and we would gladly stay here again!

Had an amazing stay!

We stayed here between Xmas and New Year's Eve – 4 people. Overall, it was a great experience but with a few downsides. Pros: The location is fantastic, in a well-to-do neighbourhood with elegant houses, and bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Just one minute's walk to DuPont Circle Metro station, giving rapid access to the Smithsonian museums. For art lovers, the Philips Collection art gallery is just steps away. The apartment itself was stylish, well-designed and comfortable, and well equipped with cooking utensils and a supply of coffee pods for the espresso machine. The management team responded rapidly and efficiently to try to solve issues as they arose. Cons: (1) Although the location is really quiet, we had noise from the person living above (they returned on the last day). In the living room and bedroom, we could hear each footfall, both human and dog. Possibly a carpet would solve this problem. Bring a good set of wax earplugs if you are at all a light sleeper. (2) The main bed was very comfortable but the sofa bed was uncomfortable, as the mattress was not properly supported, and we ended up putting the mattress on the floor. (3) The apartment is accessed from the alley; the alley is clean, but at night we saw rats several times. Rats appear to be common in Washington DC and their presence did not bother us. (4) The outer security gate had a malfunctioning lock, but the owner was apparently in the process of fixing this.

This is a garden level gem. You won't get breathtaking views out the windows, but it has a great location 1/2 block from the DuPont Metro. DuPont Circle is a terrific neighborhood, with a mixture of intimate and excellent restaurants as well as a variety of shops. Grocery stores and pharmacies convenient walk away, as are more than a few embassies and interesting neighborhoods.

Traveled to WDC for work and needed a kitchen unit so opted for this basement apartment over a hotel. Wonderful location, very clean, well stocked with basic amenities. The bed was super comfortable, better than most hotels. Would return!

This basement apt is in a great location and was very quiet. The interior was comfortable and clean. They supply extra towels and sheets. I had trouble lighting the stove and they sent over a lighter that same day, so good communication. The kitchen has plenty of pots/pans/utensils but isn't stocked with any cooking supplies, so you'll need the basics, like cooking oil, condiments, etc. The shower had nice water pressure, heating worked well. Overall, very nice.

We found the hosts to be very responsive and kind. Unit was clean and stocked with basics. Location is pretty perfect, just a few blocks from the Dupont metro station. Lots of food options nearby. Cute decor. Simple kitchen with fridge, etc. It is relatively quite (no street noise), with the exception of occasional noise from upstairs guests or on trash day. Felt very safe, and this is generally a safe neighborhood. But the bedroom window is unprotected (no bars) and is facing the alley, that is maybe the one weakness. Otherwise all doors and windows are behind bars / locked areas. I would stay here again. Thanks!

The neighborhood was safe, there were plenty of restaurants to choose from around every corner, and getting Ubers was a breeze. The place is small, but it was perfect for our family of three. Finding the location was easy. We had the Uber driver drop us off on Q street in front of the house and we walked around the back ourselves - it avoided any confusion. We had a great time!

Unit was well supplied for our use, except the microwave wasn't replaced after discovery of charred wire. Noise from unit above was corrected. Location is very good, close to Metro, Phillips Gallery, shopping area.

Such an amazing little apartment right in the heart of DuPont Circle, tucked on a side street. Extremely walkable to restaurants, the fountain and Metro. The rainfall shower and included toiletries (Public Foods) were fabulous

It is a great jumping in location as it is so close to the DuPont Circle Metro. Lots of awesome restaurants in easy walking distance. The place was so well equipped and comfortable for 2, would be tight for 2 couples or families with 2 older kids. Hosts very responsive and helpful.

I had a nice stay at the quaint little apartment in a great neighborhood in DC when finding a hotel was tough. It is a nice, clean space, good for one or two, but a little tricky to get in. I would stay there again but would warn travelers it is attached to other residents so you do hear neighbors walking and talking above.

We loved our stay in Dupont Circle. The place is located right off of the red line metro station, making it really convenient especially for those traveling from Union Station. The area is quiet, tucked between a busier circle with restaurants and cafes and several blocks of beautiful residential homes. Our hosts were very communicative and had plenty of recommendations for things to do also. The home itself is just like the pictures. Plenty of amenities including a well-supplied kitchen area and bathroom. Would definitely stay here again.

The location was great and apartment was very clean. There is an adjacent apartment to the one where I stayed, and the two apts were separated by a curtain with presumably a thin wall or door behind. At night I could a man coughing for some time in the other apt; and the sound was so proximate as if they were somewhere in my apt. As a solo female traveler (for work), that didnt feel great and for that reason only I prbly wouldnt stay here again. Otherwise everything else was great.

Very nice, clean, well-located apartment, great communication from hosts.

Overall I was disappointed. Though the apartment was very clean, and the neighborhood was excellent. However, the entire experience felt very impersonal, yet without the amenities of a hotel. They only provided 2 bath towels for 3 registered guests, and it took the 'team' over 24 hours to drop off one additional bath towel. They explained by saying they had to do 30 check-outs that day. I suppose if you have so many properties that you can't attend to your current guests you either need fewer properties or a larger team. Additionally, the cleaning fee was outrageous, almost $200 for an apartment that is approx 300 sq/ft. This property also requires you to take out your own trash, linens, and towels. I don't understand how both the cleaning fee is SO expensive, and the guests are expected to go above and beyond in cleaning the apartment themselves. They list a travel crib as an amenity but when I requested it they said there would be an extra fee. Too much focus on fees, not guests!

It was our first visit to DC and we had a wonderful stay here. Great and convenient location. Close to restaurants, cafes, public transportation and downtown. Very clean unit. Well kept and organized. Nice furnishings and design. My daughter is a teenager and she slept in the bedroom and I took the sofa. It was comfortable for a two night stay. I wish that they provided more than two bath towels but not a huge deal. Also the next door unit is close and we could hear their conversations and television. It did not bother us but something to be aware of. The management is responsive, helpful and polite.

I loved my stay at this Airbnb! The location is unbeatable, with many restaurants and the DuPont metro station nearby. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well-maintained.

My family and I enjoyed this Airbnb located in Dupont Circle. The neighborhood is beautiful and there are tons of restaurants and shops near the property. The property is a stone's throw from the metro making it easy to get around D.C.

Great owner/agency/host. Replaced a coffee maker on a moment's notice... It is a Basement unit. The upstairs neighbors could be heard, but did not disrupt the stay at all. However, Unit A attached to my Unit B, is not soundproofed enough. An adjoining door(someone might rent both units together?) There is light visible around the door frame, and noise & smells pass straight through. In my situation, Unit A renters were smoking a bong, and talking about it loudly, 3 nights in a row til 2-4am, playing loud music and playing loud Movies... this could easily be fixed with some minor retrofitting construction, but when the heater kicked in, it sucked air from Unit A to B, and we got the pot smoke. I don't smoke and prefer not to, but the Unit had smoke in it. The adhesive sound absorbing pieces, are a bandaid... I assume it was a perfect storm, but I was there on business and this made it difficult to sleep and wasn't the best experience. Great Place, if there are some adjustments made.

Great location, Home sweet city was very responsive and attentive.

We had a nice stay at this Airbnb. We loved the area and worked at the local coworking spot called Cove. It had a well stocked kitchen and comfortable bed. We were disappointed to realize upon check in that there was no washer and dryer although it was listed in the listing. The management company did quickly help rectify. I would recommend asking for the code to the Nest so that the heat doesn't go up automatically in the middle of the night. I would recommend staying at this Airbnb.

Clean and cozy place in a great location. The entrance through the back alley is a bit unusual, but the entire area is well-lit and clean. The sofa bed worked great for our kids, but as others have mentioned, you can feel the springs, and it may not be so comfortable for adults. The unit is separated from the neighboring unit only through a door. We had neighbors who were considerate, but there is a certain risk. We had a great time, and on the one occasion when we contacted the owner with a question, they responded right away.

It was very nice and comfortable for three people. Conveniently located by excellent restaurants and shoppes.

Place was great. Will definitely stay here again on future business or personal trips to DC. Apartment matched photos and description from listing—super cute. Location to DuPont metro and DuPont circle was great.

Wonderful stay!

Great location, steps to metro red line. Beautiful apartment. Very clean. A basement apartment so no views but new and lovely finishes inside. A bit tricky for the taxi to find as it is off an alley off of a one way street but incredible neighborhood otherwise. Communication was awesome. We would stay here again for sure.

Lovely little apartment just off of DuPont Circle!! Was perfect for getting a metro pass and leaving the car in a garage for the week to see the sights!

Very nice place to stay, very close to all the bars/restaurants at DuPont circle. We had 4 people total and worked well for a weekend visit. Parking garage was close and access to apartment was east. Pull out couch could definitely be upgraded as it is not the most comfortable, other than that good stay!

Fantastic location!!

We had a very good stay. The clean and cosy unit is in an excellent location in Dupont Circle, very near to many restaurants and shops as well as a great farmer's market (on Sundays & also a smaller one on Thursdays). We also appreciated the flexibility with our arrival time.

The apartment is in a great, walking location with many restaurants/ bar around the corner. Place was clean and like described, communication with host was great and they answered all my questions and concerns quickly. Will stay again at the host location when visiting DC again.

Just finished a three night stay at this Airbnb. Mostly pros but definitely a few cons. The pros: the apartment was spotless, which is probably most important. The decor was modern and extremely well done. Things looked brand new. The location is in a quiet neighborhood that felt very safe but was a short walk to DuPont Circle and many shops and restaurants, which was convenient. The apartment is small but it was more than adequate for my husband and me. Communications with the host company (I believe it was a management company rather than private owner, though not sure) were quick and helpful. I asked about parking, luggage storage, and early check in. They got back to me right away each time although the best they could offer was a link to Spot Hero for parking, Luggage Hero for storing our bags until check in, and an extra charge for early check in. All very costly but that’s not their fault. The cons: WiFi was hard to sign into and we needed to sign in often because we would get kicked off. There was a thorough explanation in the instruction manual they provided but we needed to keep turning our phones and ipad off and on to get it to accept the sign on information, which was very odd and slightly annoying. Another con is that as lovely as the apartment was, it was a basement apartment so very little natural light. Entering the apartment was a little inconvenient. Rather than enter from the front of the building, we needed to walk down a back alley, through a car port with a very low ceiling, and down a few steps. Definitely not convenient but we got used to it. The apartment itself has minimal storage. No dresser in the bedroom - just a few shelves and very narrow closet in a stand alone wardrobe. The bathroom has two nice size drawers but ZERO counter space. Being there for only three nights we were able to make do but it would be quite inconvenient for a longer stay. The last negative which really annoyed me were the check out requirements. I am extremely neat and always leave my airbnb stays clean and tidy. I understand not leaving any dirty dishes as this is common for most airbnb stays, but having to sort the garbage and place it outside and having to strip the beds and leave all used linens (sheets and towels) in a pile is not common. I’ve never had to do this before and for the cost of the apartment and the cleaning costs I paid for, I felt that these things should definitely be included.
