This place is an absolute gem. It’s got that lovely boutique hotel feel, but with a warm, family-friendly touch that makes you feel instantly at home. The house itself is relaxing and beautifully set up, and it was exactly as described and pictured, no surprises, just as lovely in person.
Tucked away in a cosy, quiet suburb, it’s the perfect spot if you want peace and privacy, but you’re still only a 15-minute walk from the station, and a quick $10-15 Uber ride gets you pretty much anywhere. With supermarkets, restaurants and playgrounds on the foorstep too. Best of both worlds.
On top of all that, the communication and support were amazing. Any questions we had were answered within minutes, genuinely some of the best hosting we’ve experienced.
Can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re after a quiet home away from home with easy access to everything, this is the spot.

We stayed here for three nights during our 2 week family vacation to Pennsylvania to explore DC. The place was a comfortable reprieve from long days walking around DC. It was cute and charming. The beds were very comfortable and the neighborhood was very peaceful.

We had a pleasant stay at Lara’s love house. Great location, about 10-min walk from Union Station, very convenient for train/subway. We felt safe in the neighborhood, which was very important for us. The kitchen was well equipped and the Whole Food was close by, so we enjoyed cooking for our dinners. The HSC team gave us very clear instructions for checking in and out and was responsive to our questions. Overall, it was a great experience and I would love to stay in this house again for my next D.C. trip.

We had the best stay! The home was absolutely adorable, beautifully decorated, and in the perfect location for exploring DC. It was the perfect getaway for my friend and me with our kids. The house was incredibly spacious and had plenty of beds, linens, towels, and everything we needed to feel right at home.
The host was amazing—she responded within minutes every time we had a question and even provided a Pack ’n Play for us at the last minute after we realized we had forgotten ours. That level of kindness and hospitality made such a difference. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would absolutely stay here again!

This is just a wonderful place in a fantastic location! So close to everything and yet cozily tucked away from it all. My family and I really loved using it as a home base for our vacation. A lot of Airbnbs look great, but this was a step up: great kitchen (high-end knives, pots, pans, & pantry appointed with things you don’t want to buy on vacation yet you want/need when making a meal); a patio, spaces that felt away from other spaces,etc. This is a great spot for DC

A picturesque stay in a quiet Washington neighbourhood. We loved the house and its classic decor.
Unfortunately, there wasn’t suitable linen to sleep 5 people on our first night in January. We were given 2 extra blankets, but were still missing warm doonas for 2 guests during our winter stay. We appreciated the host delivering the blankets after the snow storm, but please note there was only linen for 3 people when we arrived.
The dryer also wasn’t working, which was disappointing as it was listed as an amenity. I’d also mention for a winter stay that the heater is quite loud when it switches on intermittently overnight.
The property is lovely and we appreciated the hosts’ communication, though a few small maintenance issues needed attention during our stay.
Buses are easily accessible from the property, the neighbourhood feels safe and quiet, and it was a great way to experience Washington DC.

Wonderful place to stay if you’re ever in DC! The space was clean, cozy, and super close to grocery stores and shopping centers. Parking was easy since the instructions were shared very clearly. We really appreciated the tea and board games too especially since it was really cold outside. Being able to sip unique great-smelling teas while playing board games was such a nice touch. We’d definitely stay here again if we’re ever back in DC. Just wish the checkout time was a bit later, but other than that, everything was great.

Nicely updated and maintained home in a beautiful historical neighborhood only one mile to the capital. The home was well equipped and comfortable and communication with the host was great. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in DC.

My daughter and I had a great stay! The listing is just as it appears in the photos and was very clean. Street parking was easy and we were a short walk to Starbucks, Whole Foods, great restaurants and a wonderful gelato place on H street. We ran each morning at Anacostia Park, which was an easy 10-15 min drive and we had great views of the Capital on our way back. The weather wasn’t great during our stay so we didn’t get to enjoy the patio and we didn’t try walking to the major sites but we didn’t have problems with parking. Host was very responsive and helpful. Beds are very firm, just FYI. We had dinner at Maydan, which isn’t close but it’s worth the drive to Florida Ave!

We traveled to D.C for a family vacation in July of 2025 and stayed at Cherry Blossom Charm for a few days. The property is located just a few miles from all of the major D.C. sites/attractions, and we were able to reach all of them easily from the property using the bus and metro systems. The property itself was clean and tidy, and provided plenty of space for my family of 5 (Kids age 14, 12, and 6). The hosts were very responsive and informative, and helped ensure our trip to D.C. was smooth. I definitely recommend staying here if you are traveling to Washington!

We enjoyed our stay at this property back in May. The house was clean and the owners were responsive. Good location within easy walking distance to H Street, where you can stock up on groceries at Whole Foods or ride the free trolley (for now – apparently D.C. will cease operations sometime soon) to Union Station. The only thing I would suggest is more comfortable bedding – pillows and mattresses on both beds were stiff and flat. In addition, be prepared for steep stairs leading up to the front door and inside the house going to the second level! You need small luggage or someone strong to carry everything up those steps. Overall, I would recommend this property to a couple or a small family.

We enjoyed our 4-day stay at this property! The house was just as described- clean and homey. The location was perfect for our daily activities, which typically led us west to the different monuments and buildings. We walked 2.5 blocks to the bus stop (#90/92) or half a mile to Union Station. It was a quick drive to the grocery store as well. We appreciated the parking pass for our stay.

Comfortable and convenient location. 2 1/2 blocks from Whole Foods, Starbucks and a couple bus lines so that we easily visited museums and the mall every day. Very clean, all the kitchen & laundry amenities we needed. We had dinner delivered from a few restaurants – especially liked District Taco. Beds were fine, although the day bed is not great for tall people. Smart TV in living room worked great. Enjoyed our stay overall!

Just like the pictures … great little 2 bedroom place, perfect for our family of four. So nice having full kitchen & laundry! A few blocks to Whole Foods & easy walk to Union Station. A bit further, but still very walkable to the U.S. Capitol. The master bed is comfy, although a bit on firm side. The daybed in the second bedroom has a very firm mattress & could probably use an upgrade (my adult son added a bunch of pillows to pad it & slept fine after that). Would definitely stay here again.

I would definitely recommend this house to other families looking for a spot close to the capital and the activities on the mall. The townhouse is small, but beautifully appointed and had most everything my family of 5 needed for a week touring the sites.

Can’t get any better than this. Hosts were responsive and caring and attentive. Place was comfortable and convenient and clean. Very easy to order a Lyft from there. I highly recommend two restaurants within a 5 minute walk — The Boiling Crab and Fresca Taqueria. We had a great trip and it all started with Cherry Blossom Charm!!

Two pre-teen grands and I stayed for two nights while visiting the district. Our lodging was a highlight for the kids – they were suitably impressed and helped keep the place tidy. Location was spectacular, amenities were top-notch, everyone was cozy and comfortable. We didn’t use the kitchen much but it definitely is more than minimal for simple meals. We loved staying at Home Sweet City. It is very convenient to everything around Capital Hill. We ubered a lot because we were traveling with a toddler and the weather was cool, but definitely walkable. The row house was located in a very cute area and we were able to feel like locals in the updated home. The kitchen was well stocked and the unit was so bright and cheerful. The toy baskets were a big hit. Overall we had the most wonderful experience and we would totally stay again.

Great newly renovated duplex with tasteful furniture and a lot of charm.
I slept extremely well on the excellent mattress / very comfortable bed in lovely primary bedroom. Bathroom was also newly renovated and great shower-head made for excellent experience. I was able to work at dining table in the bay window which offered an excellent view of the delightful neighborhood. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Home sweet city’s place is great for family trip. All beds are big and comfortable, kitchen is nice and plenty cookware to use, laundry dryer works well, location is pretty convenient, there is Whole Foods and restaurants near by, neighborhood is very walkable and quiet, the vent system in bathroom is a bit loud if people are taking shower late at night. The bus system near the place is always delayed which is a little inconvenient, but not a big deal since the place is great!

Also very close to Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s etc. Conveniently located close to National Mall by quick trips on multiple different bus routes, or walkable in nice weather. The apartment was very clean and well furnished. We had a very pleasant stay.

This is a great place for a trip to DC. The house is very nice, the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, a Whole Foods supermarket is in walking distance, and there are several bus lines leaving only minutes away.

I had a great stay in D.C. The home met my needs extremely well, both for sleeping and working. I’ve stayed in the area before and loved the proximity to good coffee, food and even a bookstore! The neighborhood was really cute, and I felt safe walking at night. I liked having access to a washer and dryer and appreciated the water and other beverages that were stocked in the kitchen. I’d definitely stay again!

It was such a nice home to stay in during our DC vacation. It is not far from Union Station. It felt very safe and had lots of restaurants near it. The only snag was the upstairs futon mattress was uncomfortable.

Overall good value for the price but there were a few issues that would have made for a better stay. First, parking was a huge issue. You cannot park anywhere near the home unless you purchase a visitor permit…which we had no idea about…we found a garage to park our vehicle. The garage was reasonably priced, but it would have been nice to have known about the garage and/or pass prior to booking the property. Secondly, the home was visibly warn..it could have used fresh paint and a little care. This didn’t hurt our stay, but the home was definitely well loved. The home also had issues with temperature…cold downstairs, super warm upstairs. The upstairs hall fan needs to be balanced, it’ll drive those light sleepers crazy. Extra blankets, not throw blankets, would have been welcome. One big note, which might be hard to explain, is the homeless population that congregates due to the location of the Department of Humane Services on the same street. It’s a bit of an issue at certain hours.

A picturesque stay in a quiet Washington neighbourhood. We loved the house and its classic decor.
Unfortunately, there wasn’t suitable linen to sleep 5 people on our first night in January. We were given 2 extra blankets, but were still missing warm doonas for 2 guests during our winter stay. We appreciated the host delivering the blankets after the snow storm, but please note there was only linen for 3 people when we arrived.
The dryer also wasn’t working, which was disappointing as it was listed as an amenity. I’d also mention for a winter stay that the heater is quite loud when it switches on intermittently overnight.
The property is lovely and we appreciated the hosts’ communication, though a few small maintenance issues needed attention during our stay.
Buses are easily accessible from the property, the neighbourhood feels safe and quiet, and it was a great way to experience Washington DC.

Wonderful place to stay if you’re ever in DC! The space was clean, cozy, and super close to grocery stores and shopping centers. Parking was easy since the instructions were shared very clearly. We really appreciated the tea and board games too especially since it was really cold outside. Being able to sip unique great-smelling teas while playing board games was such a nice touch. We’d definitely stay here again if we’re ever back in DC. Just wish the checkout time was a bit later, but other than that, everything was great.

Nicely updated and maintained home in a beautiful historical neighborhood only one mile to the capital. The home was well equipped and comfortable and communication with the host was great. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in DC.

Guest support was excellent. When a small mechanical adjustment was needed, the representative was there immediately and solved the issue efficiently.
I particularly enjoyed the location on a quiet corner which allows great sunlight and an added sense of spaciousness.

My daughter and I had a great stay! The listing is just as it appears in the photos and was very clean. Street parking was easy and we were a short walk to Starbucks, Whole Foods, great restaurants and a wonderful gelato place on H street. We ran each morning at Anacostia Park, which was an easy 10-15 min drive and we had great views of the Capital on our way back. The weather wasn’t great during our stay so we didn’t get to enjoy the patio and we didn’t try walking to the major sites but we didn’t have problems with parking. Host was very responsive and helpful. Beds are very firm, just FYI. We had dinner at Maydan, which isn’t close but it’s worth the drive to Florida Ave!

We loved staying here! The location near Capitol Hill made it super easy to get to all the sights. The house was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The kitchen and pantry were stocked, so cooking was a breeze. We had such a great time and would definitely stay here again.

This sweet little house is located 2 blocks from all of the things you could need! Food, shopping, coffee, etc. Parking was easy, the house was immaculate & the host was always friendly and quick to respond. 10/10 recommend.

We traveled to D.C for a family vacation in July of 2025 and stayed at Cherry Blossom Charm for a few days. The property is located just a few miles from all of the major D.C. sites/attractions, and we were able to reach all of them easily from the property using the bus and metro systems. The property itself was clean and tidy, and provided plenty of space for my family of 5 (Kids age 14, 12, and 6). The hosts were very responsive and informative, and helped ensure our trip to D.C. was smooth. I definitely recommend staying here if you are traveling to Washington!

Perfect place to stay for any trip to DC!!! Clean and safe and close to everything. Communication was extremely clear very helpful and timely. Loved that they even had toys for my kiddos to enjoy, this was a sweet surprise that I didn’t even know I needed. The owners of this property is extremely thoughtful in every aspect.

We enjoyed our stay at this property back in May. The house was clean and the owners were responsive. Good location within easy walking distance to H Street, where you can stock up on groceries at Whole Foods or ride the free trolley (for now - apparently D.C. will cease operations sometime soon) to Union Station. The only thing I would suggest is more comfortable bedding - pillows and mattresses on both beds were stiff and flat. In addition, be prepared for steep stairs leading up to the front door and inside the house going to the second level! You need small luggage or someone strong to carry everything up those steps. Overall, I would recommend this property to a couple or a small family.

We enjoyed our 4-day stay at this property! The house was just as described- clean and homey. The location was perfect for our daily activities, which typically led us west to the different monuments and buildings. We walked 2.5 blocks to the bus stop (#90/92) or half a mile to Union Station. It was a quick drive to the grocery store as well. We appreciated the parking pass for our stay.

We found lots to do in the area and easy access to grocery stores and the Metro at Union Station (a 12 minute walk).

Comfortable and convenient location. 2 1/2 blocks from Whole Foods, Starbucks and a couple bus lines so that we easily visited museums and the mall every day. Very clean, all the kitchen & laundry amenities we needed. We had dinner delivered from a few restaurants - especially liked District Taco. Beds were fine, although the day bed is not great for tall people. Smart TV in living room worked great. Enjoyed our stay overall!

Just like the pictures … great little 2 bedroom place, perfect for our family of four. So nice having full kitchen & laundry! A few blocks to Whole Foods & easy walk to Union Station. A bit further, but still very walkable to the U.S. Capitol. The master bed is comfy, although a bit on firm side. The daybed in the second bedroom has a very firm mattress & could probably use an upgrade (my adult son added a bunch of pillows to pad it & slept fine after that). Would definitely stay here again.

I would definitely recommend this house to other families looking for a spot close to the capital and the activities on the mall. The townhouse is small, but beautifully appointed and had most everything my family of 5 needed for a week touring the sites.

Can’t get any better than this. Hosts were responsive and caring and attentive. Place was comfortable and convenient and clean. Very easy to order a Lyft from there. I highly recommend two restaurants within a 5 minute walk — The Boiling Crab and Fresca Taqueria. We had a great trip and it all started with Cherry Blossom Charm!!

The house was exceptionally clean as well as beautifully decorated. Everything at this property worked perfectly--WiFi, AC, reading lights over the bed. It's the nicest short-term rental we have have had.

Two pre-teen grands and I stayed for two nights while visiting the district. Our lodging was a highlight for the kids - they were suitably impressed and helped keep the place tidy. Location was spectacular, amenities were top-notch, everyone was cozy and comfortable. We didn't use the kitchen much but it definitely is more than minimal for simple meals. Would definitely rent again here

I just returned home to Oregon after a 9-day stay in “Cherry Blossom Charm”. The flat was just as pictured. It was very clean and well appointed. We loved the location, very walkable or public transportation was just a few blocks away. I hope I can stay there again. Kathee

We loved staying at Home Sweet City. It is very convenient to everything around Capital Hill. We ubered a lot because we were traveling with a toddler and the weather was cool, but definitely walkable. The row house was located in a very cute area and we were able to feel like locals in the updated home. The kitchen was well stocked and the unit was so bright and cheerful. The toy baskets were a big hit. Overall we had the most wonderful experience and we would totally stay again.

This property was in a great location for our Spring Break vacation. Very close to the Streetcar and Metro station to travel to The National Mall area. Also, convenient to Whole Foods and other restaurants. It was clean and comfortable for my family of 4. Had all the amenities we needed. Would recommend this property.

Great newly renovated duplex with tasteful furniture and a lot of charm.
I slept extremely well on the excellent mattress / very comfortable bed in lovely primary bedroom. Bathroom was also newly renovated and great shower-head made for excellent experience. I was able to work at dining table in the bay window which offered an excellent view of the delightful neighborhood. Can't recommend highly enough!

Home sweet city’s place is great for family trip. All beds are big and comfortable, kitchen is nice and plenty cookware to use, laundry dryer works well, location is pretty convenient, there is Whole Foods and restaurants near by, neighborhood is very walkable and quiet, the vent system in bathroom is a bit loud if people are taking shower late at night. The bus system near the place is always delayed which is a little inconvenient, but not a big deal since the place is great!

Great neighborhood location with lots of reasonably priced dining options. Also very close to Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s etc. Conveniently located close to National Mall by quick trips on multiple different bus routes, or walkable in nice weather. The apartment was very clean and well furnished. We had a very pleasant stay.

This is a great place for a trip to DC. The house is very nice, the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, a Whole Foods supermarket is in walking distance, and there are several bus lines leaving only minutes away.

I had a great stay in D.C. The home met my needs extremely well, both for sleeping and working. I've stayed in the area before and loved the proximity to good coffee, food and even a bookstore! The neighborhood was really cute, and I felt safe walking at night. I liked having access to a washer and dryer and appreciated the water and other beverages that were stocked in the kitchen. I'd definitely stay again!

Enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was comfortable and cozy. Everything we needed for a short stay in DC was available. Easy walk to coffee shops, restaurants, Whole Foods and public transportation. We were even able to walk to Union Station to take the train to NYC.

It was such a nice home to stay in during our DC vacation. It is not far from Union Station. It felt very safe and had lots of restaurants near it. The only snag was the upstairs futon mattress was uncomfortable.

Overall good value for the price but there were a few issues that would have made for a better stay. First, parking was a huge issue. You cannot park anywhere near the home unless you purchase a visitor permit…which we had no idea about…we found a garage to park our vehicle. The garage was reasonably priced, but it would have been nice to have known about the garage and/or pass prior to booking the property. Secondly, the home was visibly warn..it could have used fresh paint and a little care. This didn’t hurt our stay, but the home was definitely well loved. The home also had issues with temperature…cold downstairs, super warm upstairs. The upstairs hall fan needs to be balanced, it’ll drive those light sleepers crazy. Extra blankets, not throw blankets, would have been welcome. One big note, which might be hard to explain, is the homeless population that congregates due to the location of the Department of Humane Services on the same street. It’s a bit of an issue at certain hours.
