We had an incredible time at home, sweet city. The location is perfect for visiting Washington D.C., and the neighborhood is safe, beautiful, and ideal for exploring.
Our host was exceptional, always following up to ensure we had everything we needed. Their attention to detail and willingness to help made our stay truly enjoyable.
The home itself is spotless, clean, and organized, with every amenity carefully thought out. From the living room to the bedrooms, every detail has been considered. Highly recommended!!

We had an incredible time at home, sweet city. The location is perfect for visiting Washington D.C., and the neighborhood is safe, beautiful, and ideal for exploring.

The home itself is spotless, clean, and organized, with every amenity carefully thought out. From the living room to the bedrooms, every detail has been considered. Highly recommended!!

The place was located in a nice and peaceful neighborhood. The hosts were very responsive and able to accommodate us.
They provided additional instructions for parking spaces in case we had a second car (which we didn’t have, but good to know) and provided a very safe and comfortable place.
The apartment was down a few steps and the lockbox with the key was easy to get into. The kitchen was clean and had numerous appliances that can be used.
The bathroom was clean and I loved the shower there! Rooms had additional towels available and closets to store any clothes in.
The only downside was that the rooms were a bit small but it was a great value for the price.
I’d definitely stay there again as I feel it was a good value and the hosts were great with communicating.
I would recommend this 5/5!

This is a great little basement apartment that fit my family of 5 with 3 kids. We loved the neighborhood and the surrounding rock creek park. It was only about 30 min from all the main attractions of DC.

Beautifully maintained, clean, tidy, many kitchen amenities, large TV, comfortable furnishings, and nice bathroom all to make it feel like home. Quiet and family friendly area. Excellent location near to DC and a beautiful park for walks. Easy parking outside. Friendly and responsive hosts. Excellent, would definitely stay again!

Absolutely lovely property in a beautiful, quiet, residential neighborhood near Rock Creek Park. Plentiful street parking. It’s a cozy basement apartment that feels very private. I chose it because it’s close to the family I was visiting.
Good bus system throughout the neighborhood, but I recommend having a car if you can. Or be prepared to use the bus or take Uber/Lyft. It’s totally residential, and about 1.5 miles to get to an area where shops, restaurants, etc are.
The only (very minor) negative is that, as it’s a basement apartment, you occasionally hear the residents above walking around. It did not bother me at all, and they clearly make every effort to be quiet. And, far, far less noise than you’d experience at a hotel or an Air BnB property in non-residential area. Just something to know if you’re a really light sleeper.
I had a couple of questions during my stay. Home Sweet City was super responsive. They addressed my questions in less than an hour.

It’s a nice place to stay, very peaceful neighborhood. The rooms are in the basement and it’s a bit cold there. Otherwise quite good. Street parking is available.

The app has it as a place with parking but only street parking was available and not in front of the house, we had to park down the road. We did loose power during our second morning there. This was really unfortunate because we had to get ready in the dark and rock some air dry hair. Very few inconveniences but over all it was a great place and would totally recommend.

Enjoyed our stay while in town for a family memorial service. Cozy place and amenities came in handy. Location is near Rock Creek Park which is worth visiting if you enjoy nature and the outdoors. Ended up meeting the hosts and had pleasant conversation. Would stay again.

Our stay in D.C. was terrific! The home is in a wonderful location. The neighborhood is nice and quiet, as well as a short drive 15-20 drive away from downtown. The space itself is cozy and was perfect for our family of 5 with the kids. Would highly recommend to anyone that’s spending the weekend in D.C.!

The apartment was clean and nicely done. I didn’t enjoy having to communicate with a 3rd party rather than the host. Also, they did not have enough parking for our truck and trailer. We had to park down the street. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone who isn’t driving a big ol truck and trailer around. Great spot! 🙂

My family and I had the best stay! Upon arrival, checking in was super easy and the space was extremely clean. Parking was also very easy. We loved the kitchen and living room space especially being able to make breakfast and the spaciousness to spend time together. The hosts were kind and helpful. We will most definitely being staying here again!

We had a fantastic time staying at this property!
The apartment was immaculate & exactly as described. The beds were so comfortable, the space was clean & bright, and they provided every amenity available we could possibly need.
The location was perfect for us & the neighborhood is beautiful! We took long walks each evening after work, and to excellent coffee shops each morning.
I would absolutely stay here again & highly recommend their home to anyone visiting DC 🥰

A lovely unit in a beautiful neighborhood. The place was clean and fresh and the bed was really comfortable. My only wish would have been for a fan or a white noise machine for the bedroom as I have difficulty sleeping with unfamiliar sounds. Earplugs were a simple solution.

The moment we stepped into the apartment, we felt right at home. The beds were super comfy and the kitchen had the equipment we needed to make a small meal. The staff was very responsive and proactive during our stay. Definitely would recommend this peaceful oasis in the city!

It was a great place to stay for an extended D.C. family vacation! Easy drive into the National Mall Area, but nestled away in a beautiful neighborhood. On street parking was easy and felt totally safe and secure. Would strongly recommend for anyone visiting the Capitol area!

This was my first experience with Airbnb and it worked out perfect for our needs! We traveled as a family of 6 with 2 small children and the space was just right for all of us. The location was great, reasonable distance for touring and site seeing as well as visiting family. The neighborhood was very nice and safe. The home was very neat and clean with plenty of quality amenities supplied. The host was prompt to respond and send information when needed. Overall a very positive experience!

The hosts were nice and always responsive through message. The house itself could’ve been cleaned a little better we found hair and a comb. Also the freezer had stained ice in it and a half filled picture of water in the fridge. The area was nice but far from DC destinations and far from metro but we had a rental car so it was ok. Rock Creek Park is nearby and is a beautiful park. Great place to stay for small families if you have a rental car.

Quiet and peaceful with plenty of room for the five of us. Small, but perfect for what we needed – a comfortable place to sleep and cook economical meals while visiting DC.
Price wa good, but staying a few extra days would have made the steep cleaning fee more palatable.
Yhe walkway to the door has loose stone, so avoid bringing a heavy roller bag.
Overall we’re very happy.

Was a great accomodation. We were very pleased with it. The Location in Rock Creek Park is amazing! Although located in a very quiet and nice neighbourhood it lies quite close to Central D.C.
The kitchen has everything needed to prepare your own meal.
The AirBnB is spaced enough to accomodate 4 people at least.

The home was beautiful and peaceful especially for a 2 night trip to DC. The distance was a little far but once I arrived it was easy to find. The host was responsive and helpful to our needs and it was easy to book especially on a short notice. Street parking is available. Overall Beautiful home, recommend for anyone looking for a short stay in DC.

They were absolutely amazing. We lost our keys in an Uber and had to extend our stay a day and they were extremely accommodating! There is two private rooms and a couch that pulls out to a large bed which was perfect for my family of 5. They did offer a pack and play as well, but we already had one. The space also had a lovely kitchenette which was extremely helpful being able to cook some nights.

We loved staying here! The host responded to questions right away. Everything was ckean and as described. It was so nice to have beds and rooms for everyone in our family. Our younger two kids, who usually have to slerp on the hide-a-bed in hotels, were pleasantly surprised that the unique bed that the couch turned into was way more comfortable than a saggy, springy hide-a-bed and we were happy that it prevented the usual complaints of unfairness! We all loved the fancy shower in the bathroom. Kitchen had everything we needed, even an already filled filter pitcher of water in the fridge. Location was great – nice quiet neighborhood next to a pretty park. Never had a problem being able to park on the street right by the house. This was an amazing deal for how close it was to the National mall. Only a 25 min drive to a parking garage down there. We loved it!

The few questions/requests we made were promptly answered or addressed. The owners were friendly and responsive. It was quiet. A very well-equipped kitchen. CLEAN! Gorgeous shower. Beds were comfy and warm. I would/will return, and the accommodations exceeded our expectations. We felt safe and secure. No issues. It felt very homey! Good value for the price. Directions were well-written and clear. I look forward to visiting with them again in the future!! This was like visiting at your favorite aunt’s house! Very comfortable!! They thought of everything.

My family and I absolutely enjoyed our stay at this location! The neighborhood surroundings were peaceful, although we didn’t get out much due to the rainy weather during our stay. The hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating, as they gave us a detailed list of what to expect checking-in, staying here, and how to clean up prior to departure.
I loved how the space provided everything we needed, from towels to bathroom necessities to even pots and pans –if you really wanted to, you could just pack a bag of clothes and be set for your stay here! After a general consensus, my family and I found the shower and the beds the best part of the place, as they were spacious, comfortable, and clean!
I will definitely recommend this place to my friends, and will consider booking another trip here! Thank you for the comfortable stay!

If you’re looking for a place that’s walkable to restaurants, coffee or shopping, this isn’t it, but if you’re looking for a place away from the bustle of the city that feels secure, it’s perfect.

The apartment worked well for our family of 5, with one sleeping on the sofa bed. It was spotless, and included everything we needed, including a few laundry detergent pods and access to the laundry which we unexpectedly needed. Parking was easy as we came and went. We enjoyed an easy walk down the hill and were immediately in the beautiful nature of Rock Creek Park. We will definitely return.

Our family had a great experience staying in this home. The hosts were super flexible, and the space is just as nice as it looks in the photos. Street parking was plentiful and a non-issue for our stay, though public transit could be a hike without a car. Our kids loved the comfy bedrooms and the kids books were a helpful touch! This wasn’t a typical vacation stay for me- I needed a quiet place to crash for a few weeks with things going on. Lara and Alex were FANTASTIC hosts, making sure that I had everything that I needed, including a few quirky requests. The space itself was perfect for living/working, and would also be for visiting the DC area because it’s close to everything. Lara’s communication was exceptional, and she handled a glitch in my reservation was swift ease to help set things straight. I’m so grateful for their hospitality over the past few weeks!

A great place in Northwest D.C.! We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment, which has all the essentials and is in a very convenient location. Plus, the neighborhood is walkable and it is easy to get around to surrounding major streets in the area too. A good place if you are looking for a quiet and safe place just outside of D.C. downtown with a smaller group. Plenty comfortable and is a good location to come in an out of downtown. Cutlery and dishes plus seasonings were provided to cook while there. Overall, pretty good!

A lovely unit in a beautiful neighborhood. The place was clean and fresh and the bed was really comfortable. My only wish would have been for a fan or a white noise machine for the bedroom as I have difficulty sleeping with unfamiliar sounds. Earplugs were a simple solution.

The moment we stepped into the apartment, we felt right at home. The beds were super comfy and the kitchen had the equipment we needed to make a small meal. The staff was very responsive and proactive during our stay. Definitely would recommend this peaceful oasis in the city!

It was a great place to stay for an extended D.C. family vacation! Easy drive into the National Mall Area, but nestled away in a beautiful neighborhood. On street parking was easy and felt totally safe and secure. Would strongly recommend for anyone visiting the Capitol area!

This was my first experience with Airbnb and it worked out perfect for our needs! We traveled as a family of 6 with 2 small children and the space was just right for all of us. The location was great, reasonable distance for touring and site seeing as well as visiting family. The neighborhood was very nice and safe. The home was very neat and clean with plenty of quality amenities supplied. The host was prompt to respond and send information when needed. Overall a very positive experience!

The hosts were nice and always responsive through message. The house itself could’ve been cleaned a little better we found hair and a comb. Also the freezer had stained ice in it and a half filled picture of water in the fridge. The area was nice but far from DC destinations and far from metro but we had a rental car so it was ok. Rock Creek Park is nearby and is a beautiful park. Great place to stay for small families if you have a rental car.

Quiet and peaceful with plenty of room for the five of us. Small, but perfect for what we needed - a comfortable place to sleep and cook economical meals while visiting DC.
Price wa good, but staying a few extra days would have made the steep cleaning fee more palatable.
Yhe walkway to the door has loose stone, so avoid bringing a heavy roller bag.
Overall we're very happy.

Was a great accomodation. We were very pleased with it. The Location in Rock Creek Park is amazing! Although located in a very quiet and nice neighbourhood it lies quite close to Central D.C.
The kitchen has everything needed to prepare your own meal.
The AirBnB is spaced enough to accomodate 4 people at least.

The home was beautiful and peaceful especially for a 2 night trip to DC. The distance was a little far but once I arrived it was easy to find. The host was responsive and helpful to our needs and it was easy to book especially on a short notice. Street parking is available. Overall Beautiful home, recommend for anyone looking for a short stay in DC.

They were absolutely amazing. We lost our keys in an Uber and had to extend our stay a day and they were extremely accommodating! There is two private rooms and a couch that pulls out to a large bed which was perfect for my family of 5. They did offer a pack and play as well, but we already had one. The space also had a lovely kitchenette which was extremely helpful being able to cook some nights.

We loved staying here! The host responded to questions right away. Everything was ckean and as described. It was so nice to have beds and rooms for everyone in our family. Our younger two kids, who usually have to slerp on the hide-a-bed in hotels, were pleasantly surprised that the unique bed that the couch turned into was way more comfortable than a saggy, springy hide-a-bed and we were happy that it prevented the usual complaints of unfairness! We all loved the fancy shower in the bathroom. Kitchen had everything we needed, even an already filled filter pitcher of water in the fridge. Location was great - nice quiet neighborhood next to a pretty park. Never had a problem being able to park on the street right by the house. This was an amazing deal for how close it was to the National mall. Only a 25 min drive to a parking garage down there. We loved it!

The few questions/requests we made were promptly answered or addressed. The owners were friendly and responsive. It was quiet. A very well-equipped kitchen. CLEAN! Gorgeous shower. Beds were comfy and warm. I would/will return, and the accommodations exceeded our expectations. We felt safe and secure. No issues. It felt very homey! Good value for the price. Directions were well-written and clear. I look forward to visiting with them again in the future!! This was like visiting at your favorite aunt's house! Very comfortable!! They thought of everything.

My family and I absolutely enjoyed our stay at this location! The neighborhood surroundings were peaceful, although we didn't get out much due to the rainy weather during our stay. The hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating, as they gave us a detailed list of what to expect checking-in, staying here, and how to clean up prior to departure.
I loved how the space provided everything we needed, from towels to bathroom necessities to even pots and pans --if you really wanted to, you could just pack a bag of clothes and be set for your stay here! After a general consensus, my family and I found the shower and the beds the best part of the place, as they were spacious, comfortable, and clean!
I will definitely recommend this place to my friends, and will consider booking another trip here! Thank you for the comfortable stay!

We had a pleasant stay. Place is very easy to access but fairly sparse in terms of kitchen items. Not enough, plates, bowls or teaspoons etc. The hosts were responsive and easy to reach. Easy parking.

We stayed here for a couple weeks while our home was being renovated and it was a great home away from home for us and our 5 year old. The apartment is very comfortable and well-equipped with everything you need. The beds were comfy and parking was very easy.

The beautiful, serene setting by Rock Creek park (and our son’s family)was perfect for walking and autumn photo opportunities. We had a great stay. Home is in a quiet suburban neighborhood with plenty of on street parking. It is clean and well appointed. If you’re looking for a place that’s walkable to restaurants, coffee or shopping, this isn’t it, but if you’re looking for a place away from the bustle of the city that feels secure, it’s perfect.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The location is great because it’s very green and quiet while everything is a quick walk or a quick drive away. In the evening, we’ve seen bunnies in the front yard. The apartment worked well for our family of 5, with one sleeping on the sofa bed. It was spotless, and included everything we needed, including a few laundry detergent pods and access to the laundry which we unexpectedly needed. Parking was easy as we came and went. We enjoyed an easy walk down the hill and were immediately in the beautiful nature of Rock Creek Park. We will definitely return.

Our family had a great experience staying in this home. The hosts were super flexible, and the space is just as nice as it looks in the photos. Street parking was plentiful and a non-issue for our stay, though public transit could be a hike without a car. Our kids loved the comfy bedrooms and the kids books were a helpful touch! We will definitely consider staying here again next time we’re in DC.

We had a wonderful stay! The neighborhood is quiet and very pretty and the drive through the park is beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you would need. Parking on the street out front was always available and easy. We mostly used Uber or drove into DC.

This wasn't a typical vacation stay for me- I needed a quiet place to crash for a few weeks with things going on. Lara and Alex were FANTASTIC hosts, making sure that I had everything that I needed, including a few quirky requests. The space itself was perfect for living/working, and would also be for visiting the DC area because it's close to everything. Lara's communication was exceptional, and she handled a glitch in my reservation was swift ease to help set things straight. I'm so grateful for their hospitality over the past few weeks!

A great place in Northwest D.C.! We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment, which has all the essentials and is in a very convenient location. Plus, the neighborhood is walkable and it is easy to get around to surrounding major streets in the area too. There were helpful and clear instructions and recommendations provided and the hosts are very responsive to any questions.

A good place if you are looking for a quiet and safe place just outside of D.C. downtown with a smaller group. Plenty comfortable and is a good location to come in an out of downtown. Cutlery and dishes plus seasonings were provided to cook while there. Overall, pretty good!
