We would not hesitate to reserve this AirBnB again when we travel to Washington DC. It is in a great location. Very clean neighborhood and we felt very safe with lots of amenities at your finger tips. We did not make use of the Metro but there were lots of available Uber/Lyft cars. The rental had two nice sized bedrooms and two good bathrooms. Water pressure is not the greatest but not much can be done about that. The kitchen had everything you need. The AirBnB supplied coffee grounds, tea, standard cooking ingredients, even a stick of butter. Cold water was waiting for us in a Britta. No need to bring your own shampoo/conditioner/lotion because it is there for your use. I highly recommend this AIrBnB.

Great location and place was just as described on site. Very close to the metro. Beds were very comfortable. The only issues were that we couldn’t locate the thermostat, and the bathrooms were outdated. One other suggestion is that the place could use another chair in the common area. Other than that, the place was great!

We would not hesitate to reserve this AirBnB again when we travel to Washington DC. It is in a great location. Great location near DuPont Circle. Many restaurants steps away. Near Embassy Row. Accommodations came with parking permit for stay. Was able to easily find street parking. Area felt very safe. Very close to Metro Station. The bedding on the king bed was amazing.

Our stay was great! The location is nice with beautiful houses and landscaping just blocks from restaurants and spas, and although this is a basement situation, lighting was great and whomever was upstairs was quiet!

We loved staying in DuPont Circle, and this location was absolutely perfect! The neighborhood is beautiful, and we were able to walk to coffee shops, restaurants, bars, the Metro, and more. The space was nicely decorated and was very clean and comfortable, especially the beds. The host was responsive and kind. We would definitely stay again!

We really loved the location and beautiful neighborhood. We locked the keys in the place unfortunately but the owners were very helpful and timely in helping us get back inside! We would definitely return on the next trip into town!

Communicating with home sweet city was easy. For a reasonable additional fee, they contacted the host and were able to arrange early check-in. The apartment was clean, the water pressure was perfect, and the small kitchen had everything we needed to prepare some healthy meals in addition to the ones we chose to dine out for. The guidebook was detailed and informative. We will stay here again when we return to D.C. unless some lucky person snaps this unit up first!

EXCELLENT!!! Perfect location for what we were in town for. We were able to walk to many delicious restaurants and bars. Metro station is less than a block away. Owner lives on property and is super friendly and accommodating! Just a great human being! Very clean and private place. We look forward to renting again!

We stayed here with our (adult) daughter over the holidays, visiting our son, who lives in DC. It was a very convenient location – near the Dupont Circle metro station, the Phillips modern and contemporary art collection and many restaurants and shops. If you are there on a Sunday morning, you’ll want to stop at the farmers’ market.

We were there for a conference and stayed the rest of the week. Very good location. Very comfortable for 3-4 people. Very near to restaurants, metro, pharmacies and even Kramers Bookstore which I love. Would repeat it in a second.

The apartment is exactly as described. The primary bedroom and bath, living room, kitchen and dining area are great spaces. The kitchen is small but it has everything you need for breakfasts and simple meals. The second bedroom does not have windows and you need to walk down a hall to use a bathroom by the kitchen.

My coworker and I stayed here for work. Perfect spot for two people but can definitely fit more if needed. The neighborhood is amazing with lots of shops and restaurants. The host was also very responsive and kind. Highly recommend!

Clean, spacious and surprisingly bright for a lower level rental. Furniture was modern and comfy. Location is great – so close to restaurants and metro yet very quiet at night. I stayed there with a work colleague and we each had so much private and personal space it was very comfortable. I’d definitely stay again.

Fantastic location. the two bedroom had everything we needed. I was traveling on business with a team member so it was really nice that we each had our own bathrooms. Totally private. Having a washer and dryer was a great bonus as was the kitchen which came in handy.

Fantastic location on a charming, quiet side street close to many restaurants and shops, a great modern art museum, and a short walk to the Metro. Very comfortable and cozy apartment with a beautiful flower garden in front. We enjoyed free street parking right on the block — just be sure to check on the street sweeping schedule, which did not appear posted (I think it happened earlier in the day we arrived). The host was very friendly and responsive. All in all, a great experience that I am happy to recommend.

The basement apartment was incredibly well located with beautiful spring flowers at the entrance. Check in was simple with us doing it ourselves, but communication from the host was good. The beds were comfortable with nice linens. It was a bit awkward that the two bedrooms were adjoining but that’s fine. The shower and bath could use some updating and the water pressure was not strong. We had a good stay.

Nice little basement unit in DuPont Circle.
The unit is all connected in a big circle…meaning you go through one room to get to the next to get to the next.
One of the bedrooms has no windows so feels pretty cavernous. Longer than a few days without natural light coming through would be difficult.
The owner, Jeff, was very friendly and helpful with recommendations for restaurants and some local sites.

This apartment is located in the heart of DuPont Circle near so many different attractions. We loved all the restaurant options and were right next door to Teaism which is one of our favorites. We were also right around the corner from the Phillips Collection which is an amazing art museum. The apartment itself was so cozy and comfortable that one rainy day we just stayed in and enjoyed an afternoon at home. This will definitely be our go to lodging spot when visiting DC.

Hosts were very kind. It was drizzling on day two of our stay. We went to get breakfast and upon return they had set out an extra umbrella for us. Location was excellent to see museums and walking distance to restaurants. We loved our time in Washington DC.

Great location. Lovely space. Nice to relax in. Walkable and easy Uber pickup. No ability to control heat and no windows in one bedroom and no ability to open windows in the other. Heat kicked on and was sweltering. Requested heat be turned off but it wasn’t.

I had a lovely stay in this apartment. I chose this property based on the location as I was traveling in and out for work meetings and wanted a central location close to the metro. The apartment was clean and spacious, and I felt right at home. Other reviews mentioned street noise, but I did not notice anything out of the ordinary for a city apartment. This apartment is on the garden level, so there isn’t a lot of natural light. I was gone most of the day, so this did not matter to me. I look forward to staying here again.

This is a charming “English basement”-style apartment in a beautiful neighborhood with lots of fun restaurants, coffee bars and homemade ice cream parlors. Super easy access to the Metro line. You’re a short walk to the incredible Phillips Collection and other sights. The apartment feels like a real home. Two bathrooms, a lovely sitting room. When there was a problem with a sprinkler system, the hosts couldn’t have been more responsive, prompt, and effective in taking care of it. Highly recommended!

We were very excited for our family trip to DC but were highly disappointed in the Airbnb. There was a swarm of mosquitos at the entryway and there were many in the apartment as well. Every time we quickly opened and closed the door, more flew in. We spent the first hour of our stay trying to kill all of them, and the second hour looking for another hotel to stay in. The host did not offer any refund and stated that mosquitos are prevalent in DC. With the amount of them at the door, it’s clear that they need an exterminator to treat the area.
The unit is in a basement so the entryway is below ground. Based on the listed photos, there was no indication of this and also rooms are much darker then shown. Another major inconvenience is that there is not thermostat in the apartment.
We ended up paying even more for a tiny hotel room down the street. Far from ideal but we didn’t have to sleep w/ bug spray on and mosquitos flying around. With 2 young children the apartment was inhabitable!

We were traveling as 2 adult couples and appreciated the opportunity to stay in Dupont Circle. The area is easily accessible to metro transit, as well as many wonderful local small businesses. The airbnb itself had 2 individual bedrooms with comfortable beds. Also 2 baths with showers, a full kitchen, dining and living room. We could hear some street noise and sirens through the night from the front bedroom, back bedroom was smaller, although more quiet. We had no concerns with this airbnb and would stay again if returning to DC.

This garden rental apartment was perfect for my family for the week. Very clean and organized. The owner, Jeff, lives right upstairs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful ground level, apartment in a beautiful brownstone in the historic Dupont Circle area. The convenience level of this place cannot be overestimated as there’s a subway station a very short walk away, many restaurants and shopping nearby, and also if you’re inclined to be a walker, you can get to all the monuments and Georgetown on foot.

Overall a very nice AirBnB in a superb location. Close to fine restaurants and a red Metro stop. Safe, residential neighborhood easy to explore by foot as well. Apartment is at basement level so some areas are dark. But there is plenty of room, though kitchen is cramped. One thing to note is that the temperature is controlled from the apartment above. That said, Home Sweet City was prompt in responding to our requests for additional heat. They contacted the owners of the apartment above and soon thereafter the apartment was warm and cozy. So we were pleased with our stay and would recommend this AirBnB.

This is beyond a gem of an find! From beginning to the end of our stay, the property manager and owners went above and beyond to make us feel supported and welcomed. When we arrived there was already cold filtered water in fridge, the apartment was spotless, and all information we needed was very handy. There is abundant storage and any type of thing that you would need for your stay in DC, including a raincoat! The location is beyond ideal – located near so many things we never needed a cab because everything was so walkable. The apartment was also very quiet, even being near a busy street. The bedding is so luxurious – we slept like babies. When we came down with food poisoning, the management company helped us extend our stay a day and followed up with us to make sure we were okay and if we needed help getting medical treatment. This will hopefully be my home base every year that I return for my annual meeting as it is one of the all-around best Airbnb experiences I have ever had. 10 out-of-10 recommend this listing to anyone looking for a safe and relaxing place to stay in DC.

We had a great stay. The location is amazing- only a few blocks from the DuPont Circle metro station and close to lots of restaurants and bars. The space was big and clean.

The apartment was cozy and in a great location -- lots of restaurants, easy access to the the subway. It was an excellent base for enjoying all the free museums in Washington DC.

This apartment is located in the heart of DuPont Circle near so many different attractions. We loved all the restaurant options and were right next door to Teaism which is one of our favorites. We were also right around the corner from the Phillips Collection which is an amazing art museum. The apartment itself was so cozy and comfortable that one rainy day we just stayed in and enjoyed an afternoon at home. This will definitely be our go to lodging spot when visiting DC.

Hosts were very kind. It was drizzling on day two of our stay. We went to get breakfast and upon return they had set out an extra umbrella for us. Location was excellent to see museums and walking distance to restaurants. We loved our time in Washington DC.

We had a great stay in a well located and great neighborhood, met a very pleasant host who checked in on us a couple of times in a friendly and non-intrusive way.

Great location. Lovely space. Nice to relax in. Walkable and easy Uber pickup. No ability to control heat and no windows in one bedroom and no ability to open windows in the other. Heat kicked on and was sweltering. Requested heat be turned off but it wasn’t.

I had a lovely stay in this apartment. I chose this property based on the location as I was traveling in and out for work meetings and wanted a central location close to the metro. The apartment was clean and spacious, and I felt right at home. Other reviews mentioned street noise, but I did not notice anything out of the ordinary for a city apartment. This apartment is on the garden level, so there isn't a lot of natural light. I was gone most of the day, so this did not matter to me. I look forward to staying here again.

This is a charming "English basement"-style apartment in a beautiful neighborhood with lots of fun restaurants, coffee bars and homemade ice cream parlors. Super easy access to the Metro line. You're a short walk to the incredible Phillips Collection and other sights. The apartment feels like a real home. Two bathrooms, a lovely sitting room. When there was a problem with a sprinkler system, the hosts couldn't have been more responsive, prompt, and effective in taking care of it. Highly recommended!

beautiful Neighbourhood, great coffee shops and the beautifully curated Phillips gallery is just around the corner. The apartment was larger than the photos looked. very comfortable and well connected to the city center.

We were very excited for our family trip to DC but were highly disappointed in the Airbnb. There was a swarm of mosquitos at the entryway and there were many in the apartment as well. Every time we quickly opened and closed the door, more flew in. We spent the first hour of our stay trying to kill all of them, and the second hour looking for another hotel to stay in. The host did not offer any refund and stated that mosquitos are prevalent in DC. With the amount of them at the door, it’s clear that they need an exterminator to treat the area.
The unit is in a basement so the entryway is below ground. Based on the listed photos, there was no indication of this and also rooms are much darker then shown. Another major inconvenience is that there is not thermostat in the apartment.
We ended up paying even more for a tiny hotel room down the street. Far from ideal but we didn’t have to sleep w/ bug spray on and mosquitos flying around. With 2 young children the apartment was inhabitable!

We were traveling as 2 adult couples and appreciated the opportunity to stay in Dupont Circle. The area is easily accessible to metro transit, as well as many wonderful local small businesses. The airbnb itself had 2 individual bedrooms with comfortable beds. Also 2 baths with showers, a full kitchen, dining and living room. We could hear some street noise and sirens through the night from the front bedroom, back bedroom was smaller, although more quiet. We had no concerns with this airbnb and would stay again if returning to DC.

This garden rental apartment was perfect for my family for the week. Very clean and organized. The owner, Jeff, lives right upstairs. He was extremely helpful with recommendations and any requests we had. The location is absolutely amazing - close to restaurants, shopping and the Metro. I would definitely stay here again when in DC!

Very nice and clean house with 2 bedroom, dining place, well stocked kitchen, and cozy living room. The owner was very easy to communicate and willing to help. The place was very close to Metro station. Both of my teenager sons loved it.

Wonderful place, so central to amazing restaurants, bars, farmer’s market and community festivals. Hosts were very communicative and responsive, and owners helped us in planning our weekend activities. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Great place set up really well in a nice location. I do have to mention that they had a security alarm go off with no instructions on how to turn it off that kept us up one of the nights. They offered to pay for coffee.

Great location for a trip to DC! The Metro was minutes away, with great restaurants, playgrounds, and coffee shops close by. The space itself was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our family. Would highly recommend!

Great unit in a great location. Clean and comfortable. Close to Metro and great eateries. Busy street but the unit was quiet. Home Sweet City rep was very responsive when we contacted them for a maintenance issue. We would stay there again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful ground level, apartment in a beautiful brownstone in the historic Dupont Circle area. The convenience level of this place cannot be overestimated as there’s a subway station a very short walk away, many restaurants and shopping nearby, and also if you’re inclined to be a walker, you can get to all the monuments and Georgetown on foot.

Overall a very nice AirBnB in a superb location. Close to fine restaurants and a red Metro stop. Safe, residential neighborhood easy to explore by foot as well. Apartment is at basement level so some areas are dark. But there is plenty of room, though kitchen is cramped. One thing to note is that the temperature is controlled from the apartment above. That said, Home Sweet City was prompt in responding to our requests for additional heat. They contacted the owners of the apartment above and soon thereafter the apartment was warm and cozy. So we were pleased with our stay and would recommend this AirBnB.

This is beyond a gem of an find! From beginning to the end of our stay, the property manager and owners went above and beyond to make us feel supported and welcomed. When we arrived there was already cold filtered water in fridge, the apartment was spotless, and all information we needed was very handy. There is abundant storage and any type of thing that you would need for your stay in DC, including a raincoat! The location is beyond ideal - located near so many things we never needed a cab because everything was so walkable. The apartment was also very quiet, even being near a busy street. The bedding is so luxurious - we slept like babies. When we came down with food poisoning, the management company helped us extend our stay a day and followed up with us to make sure we were okay and if we needed help getting medical treatment. This will hopefully be my home base every year that I return for my annual meeting as it is one of the all-around best Airbnb experiences I have ever had. 10 out-of-10 recommend this listing to anyone looking for a safe and relaxing place to stay in DC.
