Our stay was wonderful! The place was clean and comfortable. The metro stop is close by, and there are lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The neighborhood is nice and relatively quiet. Instructions for the apartment were clear and complete. I have no complaints- We had a great time!! Thank you!

Was a wonderful stay! Very clean and comfortable.
A few things that personal preference wise might not have been ideal was the beds- they were a little small for 2 people per bed and not the most comfortable, the other thing being the late night shenanigans- the neighborhood was lively at night. Many time we were woken up by people passing by, nothing crazy just could wake a light sleeper.
Over all a great place! And the parking included is an amazing feature!

Great location for our trip! Walking distance from the event venue we visited, and a fairly short Uber ride to the Smithsonian museums. Clean, and all essentials included.

We had a great Thanksgiving vacation at Home Sweet City. We walked to Whole Foods and bought groceries. Cooked a semi TGiving meal and ate there in the apartment. We enjoyed lots of DC activities and attractions and felt comfortable to spread out and enjoy the apartment when we wanted to relax. The host was quick to answer any questions we had and the apartment was very clean and pleasant.

Our second time in DC and our first Airbnb in the city as well. So glad! So much better and more affordable than any hotel. My family of four had plenty of space to lounge and feel comfy. Loved how everything you’d need was within walking distance. The place was spotless and just lovely. Will definitely recommend to friends!

Our stay was great. Very easy to access the property, had everything we needed, was close to transport and food services and the hosts were very helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay again.

Great home with a lot of amenities. There’s also cafes and grocery stores in walking distance and the hosts were kind and responsive, always making sure to check in on us. We came in for a business trip so we didn’t spend too much time inside but this home perfectly fit what we needed.

Great place and location. All amenities inside house were great and comfortable.
However as already mentioned by owner too many mosquitos outside of entrance door which immediately gets in, since its outside house cannot fully blame the owner, additional pest control might help.

I just had a great stay with my two adult sons. The apartment was exactly as described. Plenty of room for the three of us. It was immaculate, had a well stocked kitchen, and the neighborhood was in a location where you could walk down to the National Mall in about 30 minutes or grab a great meal from many nearby restaurants. If we have to go back to DC in the future, we will definitely stay there again.

This listing was reasonably accurate in describing the state of the unit and the hosts were communicative and responsive. This district, perhaps it was coincidence, seemed to be a bit of a party district and I could hear people yelling or talking loudly until 3am several nights. I was also approached as I walked in the neighborhood several times for money. I think depending on what type of visit you are planning, if you’re looking for a vibrant night life there’s a lot nearby, but not the best location for families or business trips.

The place was in convenient area and was very nice inside. The only thing was the bugs BUT the description was very clear and stated that there were bugs. Other than the bugs everything was great. The beds were comfortable even the pull out couch.

This is a lovely basement apartment, attractive, well-stocked (appreciated the coffee) though we didn’t cook there. (Appreciated the unscented bath products- sometimes those are terrible.) The apt was very clean and comfortable, beds were extremely comfortable. There is a certain amount of noise from the upstairs (classic city apt stuff – walking with high heels while getting ready for work, dog barking occasionally) but livable. Unfortunately, there was massive street construction – which of course, the owners have no control over, but we weren’t warned about ahead of time. It made having zoom calls a little bit of a challenge, and woke us up every morning. The people who run the apt are very responsive, and everything was very well run. The area is lovely, with lots of gardens, etc. and pretty walkable to nice places. I would definitely stay again — without the construction. It was a little pricey, but very well-done.

Great place and very peaceful! The apartment has everything you need. Very well furnished and comfortable beds. The apt. is very practical with just about everything you may need. Super clean too. Would highly recommend this place. If you are someone that likes very hot interiors perhaps bring an extra sweater or check in with the owner how to make the heating work (it has ac/ electric heaters and we could not bring the temp up). However definitely not critically cold I would say.
The owner also left a very useful guide to the neighborhood and was very responsive. Would highly recommend this place.

We had an amazing time staying at this place. It was exactly what we needed for our family trip to DC. The place was very clean and comfortable. I worked from the desk in the bedroom. The beds were comfortable-even the sofa bed! Each room had its own temperature controls which was really nice! The laundry worked great.The hosts were extremely responsive and checked in on us to make sure everything was ok. We printed parking permits and had no problem finding spots. There are bus stops very close to the apt that take you to the national mall, which was very convenient. We liked that we could easily walk to restaurants and coffee shops. Thanks for everything!

It looks the same as it shown in the pictures. The rooms are neat and tidy. We only heard the noise from upstairs once in the morning. Other time it was very quiet. One thing to notice is that it is semi basement as you need to walk down a few steps, which I didn’t expect. But we didn’t have any problems about this. Overall it was a good experience!

Had a great stay at this airbnb! The owner was responsive and got back to quick. The whole stay was a breeze and everything was as advertised. We went to some concerts at the 9:30 club and the walk was a super easy.

We had a great stay . The only downside was the people upstairss u can hear ever step they take . Granted we were so tired by bed time we knocked right out but my father had a little trouble . The place was clean and pretty the building was beautiful itself . The neighborhood is safe nice and historical. Just around the corner u will come into the cultural night life we had a blast and everyone was nice. I would stay here again if I was in DC .

The place was, perfect for a weekend getaway. It’s in a beautiful, well kept neighborhood that’s quite & within walking distance of many good restaurants.
We had a party of 5 adults. It’s a cute 2 bedroom basement apartment w/plenty of light. The pull out sofa bed was comfortable. They supplied all linens and towels. Overall it was a great experience and I would rent the space again

I have three kids, and it usually takes time to find where everyone will sleep and how we are going to “make this work”, but not so here. There was plenty of space – my son chose to put his travel bed in the walk in closet rather than sleep on the pull out couch offered, but there was so much room to do all kinds of things. We all slept SO WELL – unheard of in a new place. It was so quiet, the bedding was so cozy, and the temperature was just a bit cold – made for a well-rested family. After exploring DC all day, we came home every night and cooked easy dinners and watched “National Treasure 2” and “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian” to get ready for the next day’s sights. I can’t recommend this place enough. It very walk-able to the white house. We took the metro once, but enjoyed the playgrounds and bakeries on the way!

We had a great Thanksgiving vacation at Home Sweet City. We walked to Whole Foods and bought groceries. Cooked a semi TGiving meal and ate there in the apartment. We enjoyed lots of DC activities and attractions and felt comfortable to spread out and enjoy the apartment when we wanted to relax. The host was quick to answer any questions we had and the apartment was very clean and pleasant.

Our second time in DC and our first Airbnb in the city as well. So glad! So much better and more affordable than any hotel. My family of four had plenty of space to lounge and feel comfy. Loved how everything you’d need was within walking distance. The place was spotless and just lovely. Will definitely recommend to friends!

Our stay was great. Very easy to access the property, had everything we needed, was close to transport and food services and the hosts were very helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay again.

Parking was our only real complaint. The place comes with parking, but it's on the street and requires a temporary permit you need to print out and display on the dash. The process is a bit janky, but blame that on the city. The upside, it was never hard to find a spot in front of the place.

Great home with a lot of amenities. There's also cafes and grocery stores in walking distance and the hosts were kind and responsive, always making sure to check in on us. We came in for a business trip so we didn't spend too much time inside but this home perfectly fit what we needed.

Great place and location. All amenities inside house were great and comfortable.
However as already mentioned by owner too many mosquitos outside of entrance door which immediately gets in, since its outside house cannot fully blame the owner, additional pest control might help.

I just had a great stay with my two adult sons. The apartment was exactly as described. Plenty of room for the three of us. It was immaculate, had a well stocked kitchen, and the neighborhood was in a location where you could walk down to the National Mall in about 30 minutes or grab a great meal from many nearby restaurants. If we have to go back to DC in the future, we will definitely stay there again.

This district, perhaps it was coincidence, seemed to be a bit of a party district and I could hear people yelling or talking loudly until 3am several nights. I was also approached as I walked in the neighborhood several times for money. I think depending on what type of visit you are planning, if you’re looking for a vibrant night life there’s a lot nearby, but not the best location for families or business trips.

This is a lovely basement apartment, attractive, well-stocked (appreciated the coffee) though we didn't cook there. (Appreciated the unscented bath products- sometimes those are terrible.) The apt was very clean and comfortable, beds were extremely comfortable. There is a certain amount of noise from the upstairs (classic city apt stuff - walking with high heels while getting ready for work, dog barking occasionally) but livable. Unfortunately, there was massive street construction - which of course, the owners have no control over, but we weren't warned about ahead of time. It made having zoom calls a little bit of a challenge, and woke us up every morning. The people who run the apt are very responsive, and everything was very well run. The area is lovely, with lots of gardens, etc. and pretty walkable to nice places. I would definitely stay again -- without the construction. It was a little pricey, but very well-done.

Great place and very peaceful! The apartment has everything you need. Very well furnished and comfortable beds. The apt. is very practical with just about everything you may need. Super clean too. We had an amazing time staying at this place. It was exactly what we needed for our family trip to DC. The place was very clean and comfortable. I worked from the desk in the bedroom. The beds were comfortable-even the sofa bed! Each room had its own temperature controls which was really nice! The laundry worked great.The hosts were extremely responsive and checked in on us to make sure everything was ok. We printed parking permits and had no problem finding spots. There are bus stops very close to the apt that take you to the national mall, which was very convenient. We liked that we could easily walk to restaurants and coffee shops. Thanks for everything!

It looks the same as it shown in the pictures. The rooms are neat and tidy. We only heard the noise from upstairs once in the morning. Other time it was very quiet. One thing to notice is that it is semi basement as you need to walk down a few steps, which I didn’t expect. But we didn’t have any problems about this. Overall it was a good experience!

Had a great stay at this airbnb! The owner was responsive and got back to quick. The whole stay was a breeze and everything was as advertised. We went to some concerts at the 9:30 club and the walk was a super easy.

We had a great stay . The only downside was the people upstairss u can hear ever step they take . Granted we were so tired by bed time we knocked right out but my father had a little trouble . The place was clean and pretty the building was beautiful itself . The neighborhood is safe nice and historical. Just around the corner u will come into the cultural night life we had a blast and everyone was nice. I would stay here again if I was in DC .

The place was, perfect for a weekend getaway. It’s in a beautiful, well kept neighborhood that’s quite & within walking distance of many good restaurants.
We had a party of 5 adults. It’s a cute 2 bedroom basement apartment w/plenty of light. The pull out sofa bed was comfortable. They supplied all linens and towels. Overall it was a great experience and I would rent the space again

I have three kids, and it usually takes time to find where everyone will sleep and how we are going to "make this work", but not so here. There was plenty of space - my son chose to put his travel bed in the walk in closet rather than sleep on the pull out couch offered, but there was so much room to do all kinds of things. We all slept SO WELL - unheard of in a new place. It was so quiet, the bedding was so cozy, and the temperature was just a bit cold - made for a well-rested family. After exploring DC all day, we came home every night and cooked easy dinners and watched "National Treasure 2" and "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" to get ready for the next day's sights. I can't recommend this place enough. It very walk-able to the white house. We took the metro once, but enjoyed the playgrounds and bakeries on the way!

The English basement of this DC row house was exactly as described. It was the perfect size and had everything that our family of three needed for our week in the city. The fact that you can walk to the Metro station in three minutes was amazing and we took advantage almost every day. The hosts were the best communicators and gave us all the information we needed for our stay, plus responded to all questions very quickly.
Our phone GPS directed us to the back of the house, which was confusing upon arrival. We were able to find street parking close to the house - just needed to remember to move the car on street cleaning day.
Many stores and restaurants were within walking distance. Keep in mind this is a big city and not everything will make everyone comfortable at all times. But overall the neighborhood was safe and ended up being a great location for our stay.

Overall it was a good stay. Make sure to read the instructions for parking.
In as is condition this place can comfortably fit 3.
Plenty of extra sheets, towels and other necessary items.
May return for another stay.

Nice place and good hosts. Walls are a bit thin so there's a bit of noise from people walking around upstairs, but still very nice, especially for the money (we paid about five hundo for two nights, 4 people)

Excellent location, extremely walkable to good restaurants and cool bars. The place was very clean and the hosts were great. Would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful experience staying at 939 T street. The host was very responsive and accommodating. The Airbnb is in an ideal location and within walking distance to numerous shops and restaurants. The unit was immaculate and had detailed instructions for parking and internet. We couldn’t have asked for a better Airbnb experience!
