We had a great stay here with my two kids. The location was perfect, with easy access to the museums and plenty of restaurants nearby. The space was comfortable and had everything we needed for our trip.
One small detail that really stood out to me was the black makeup towel. It was such a thoughtful touch and something I truly appreciated. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again.

This is a nice property right next to the RFK Metro. Our only complaints were partying going on upstairs and problems communicating with Vrbo, but NOT the host. They were very responsive. We would not stay here again as there are other properties in the vicinity that are better priced. Thank you for a nice visit!

This place was perfect! Clean, modern and in a prime location, walking distance to the train and buses. This made our vacation easy to commute. There’s also convenient stores nearby if needed. The bedroom had great linens and very comfortable bed! Great spot to stay!

A great spot for exploring DC! Only a 1-2 minute walk to the Stadium Armory metro station. The space was clean and a good size for myself, husband, and toddler. We loved the full kitchen! If you are going to use the pull out couch, I would not recommend for anyone heavier than a toddler. A short metro ride away from great restaurants (check out Ted Bulletins!) and stores such as Trader Joe’s in the Eastern Market area. A great value overall!

This was an amazing property. My friends and I just loved the homely feeling this property gave. Everything was just spotless. The kitchen stood out the most, it had all the things necessary to cook in when you feel like you’re tired from food from outside. The hosts were simply amazing. I honestly look forward to booking a stay here again. I highly recommend this place.

the stay was good and very convenient for my wife & I who still had to work. the distance to my government job was near by and the wifi was strong and great for my wife’s remote job.
the furniture, lenins, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, & living room are very clean & comfortable. for those who need a spot to stay within the DC this isna good location with fair price.
for driver’s who come to this location. you will have to park your vehicles along the cross streets. In DC the main street location requires residential parking passes. The side streets do not. I hope this clears up information for visitors who drive to this destination.
The location did have a lot of mosquitoes near the entrance. The mosquitoes tore me up when I was having a little difficulty retrieving the key the first day. trimming the vegetation around the the door way and having anti mosquitoes plants in its place would make it much better.
Overall the stay was nice & peaceful.

This is an up and coming location within 1/2 a block of the Stadium-Armory metro. The space was just as described and easily fit 2 adults and 2 teenagers.
The Safeway grocery store that was suggested, has everything you need and more and is only about 1/2 a mile away, which is within reasonable walking distance.
The space was very clean, we had everything we needed to cook basic meals, and the toiletries that were provided were a nice touch and allowed us to pack a little lighter.
My only suggestion to visitors is to exit the metro out the DC General Hospital exit.

No big surprises, little things that could be improved as others have previously mentioned as well- providing a full length mirror, tissues and hooks in the bathroom would improve the stay. Convenient location to the metro and no issues with hearing the upstairs tenants during our stay. We would definitely stay again!

It was a clean, comfortable, newly updated basement unit. The neighborhood and street were very quiet. Large, well-equipped kitchen. Very close to both the metro and bus (96). The biggest negative is that there is no unrestricted parking during the week; 20 minute walk to park the car. Communication, while frequent and responsive, wasn’t consistent.

Review of My Stay
I recently stayed at this unit for 9 days, and it was truly an exceptional experience. The location is incredibly convenient, being very close to the metro, which made getting around Washington D.C. a breeze.
The service provided by the Home Sweet City Team was outstanding. On my first night, I encountered an issue with the heating. I reported the problem, and despite the late hour, they promptly sent over two heaters, allowing me to stay comfortably. The next day, a mechanic arrived and quickly fixed the heater. The response time was impressive, and every interaction with the team was marked by kindness and professionalism.
I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting Washington D.C. You won’t be disappointed!

Enjoyed my stay in this immaculate, adorable VRBO. Minutes from the Stadium Armory metro making it convenient to get anywhere in the DC area. The apartment was quiet, comfortable and had everyone one could need. Would definitely return!

Great kitchen area, lots of counter space and everything needed for preparing meals. Bedroom was quite spacious with closet space and a small dresser, bed was so very comfortable. It was a great amenity having a washer and dryer for laundry. The shower was wonderful , but the sink was so small and no place to set or store toiletries. A small shelf in there would make a huge difference and maybe a hook on the door to hang things from. Parking was always available. Lighting was nice and bright. Communication was always quick.

Very responsive hosts, they kept in touch every single stage of the process and they answered all my questions. The location is great if you’re planning to use the public transport to move around the city (which you should). Definitely a place worth staying if you’re traveling solo or with one more person.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here & will definitely stay again in the future. I accidentally tripped the breaker box & they sent someone out asap to see if they could fix the problem. We did utilize the laundry area to wash our used towels & that was very convenient. We used the pull out couch to watch movies & my daughter slept there a few nights. We had a good time!

We enjoyed our stay at this property and would happily return! It was so close to the metro in a quiet neighborhood and it was easy to get anywhere we wanted for sightseeing. The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy breakfasts and a dinner. The Safeway store is a short walk and there are also a couple restaurants and a great bakery nearby.

We stayed for two days in a family trip. The house is located in a lovely neighborhood with easy access to transit. It’s a bit far from the nearest grocery shop since we didn’t drive. The room is clean and well organized. Check/in was very easy. Kitchen appliances were well maintained.
The bathroom is surely a bit small to use. The sink is very shallow and we had to leave our toothbrush and skincare products outside of the bathroom. One week before our stay I have communicated with the manager and asked if we could get a hot water kettle for making tea. We never got the reply on if it would be provided. And of course there wasn’t a kettle during our stay. So I would recommend better communication.
Overall it is a nice location and clean house to stay.

Giving a five star review was the easiest thing I’ve done in a while. We were very comfortable and couldn’t be happier about the location. The hosts were extremely attentive. They even checked in on us while we were there. Everything was as advertised. The apartment was super clean, new, sparkling and bright. The kitchen was very well stocked with all equipment needed too cook. All amenities we needed were at our fingertips, and the check-in process was seamless. Professionally managed every step of the way.

We appreciated the extras that were provided from the tea to toiletries. The bathroom storage was limited, but otherwise everything was fantatic. Would highly recommend.

Our stay in D.C. was absolutely incredible!! Everyone was so friendly with us and very communicative if we had an issue with anything. It was super close to the metro which made traveling easier for our group. Overall it was a wonderful home to come and rest after a long day of sightseeing. We will definitely be back to this Vrbo on our future trips to D.C.

Great location, in the city, but not IN the city. You won’t feel rushed or overwhelmed with a stay here. It is half a block walk from the Metro which gets you to DC and the monuments and museums in 20 minutes. This apartment is quiet and on a lovely street. The amenities are as listed and perfect for longer stays also.

You get exactly what you see on the photos and the hosts are extremely and proactively communicative. Note it’ll be challenging for multiple people to watch tv from the bar as those closer will block the view for others. Also, I wouldn’t recommend sleeping on the couch, but the bad was very cozy with plenty of extra blankets and bedding. Overall would definitely recommend!

ONLY PROBLEM WAS NO FULL MIRROR!!!! lol I’m a fashionista i need to see the drip but other than tht Safe area easy to find parking was perfect quiet neighborhood sooo chill definitely would come back again like it was sooooooo nice bring bug spray tho mosquitoes were there but i mean thts more a dc thing than the host problem but yea book if ur contemplating it’s literally like a 5 min walk to the train station and tht takes u everywhere for wat like $2 soooo worth it

I reported the problem, and despite the late hour, they promptly sent over two heaters, allowing me to stay comfortably. The next day, a mechanic arrived and quickly fixed the heater. The response time was impressive, and every interaction with the team was marked by kindness and professionalism.
I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting Washington D.C. You won’t be disappointed!

This is our 2nd time staying here when visiting Washington D.C. It's very close to the subway station and the neighborhood is very safe (we come with our two boys and feel very safe). Would absolutely recommend!

Enjoyed my stay in this immaculate, adorable VRBO. Minutes from the Stadium Armory metro making it convenient to get anywhere in the DC area. The apartment was quiet, comfortable and had everyone one could need. Would definitely return!

Great kitchen area, lots of counter space and everything needed for preparing meals. Bedroom was quite spacious with closet space and a small dresser, bed was so very comfortable. It was a great amenity having a washer and dryer for laundry. The shower was wonderful , but the sink was so small and no place to set or store toiletries. A small shelf in there would make a huge difference and maybe a hook on the door to hang things from. Parking was always available. Lighting was nice and bright. Communication was always quick.

Very responsive hosts, they kept in touch every single stage of the process and they answered all my questions. The location is great if you’re planning to use the public transport to move around the city (which you should). Definitely a place worth staying if you’re traveling solo or with one more person.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here & will definitely stay again in the future. I accidentally tripped the breaker box & they sent someone out asap to see if they could fix the problem. We did utilize the laundry area to wash our used towels & that was very convenient. We used the pull out couch to watch movies & my daughter slept there a few nights. We had a good time!

We enjoyed our stay at this property and would happily return! It was so close to the metro in a quiet neighborhood and it was easy to get anywhere we wanted for sightseeing. The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy breakfasts and a dinner. The Safeway store is a short walk and there are also a couple restaurants and a great bakery nearby.

We stayed for two days in a family trip. The house is located in a lovely neighborhood with easy access to transit. It’s a bit far from the nearest grocery shop since we didn’t drive. The room is clean and well organized. Check/in was very easy. Kitchen appliances were well maintained.
The bathroom is surely a bit small to use. The sink is very shallow and we had to leave our toothbrush and skincare products outside of the bathroom. One week before our stay I have communicated with the manager and asked if we could get a hot water kettle for making tea. We never got the reply on if it would be provided. And of course there wasn’t a kettle during our stay. So I would recommend better communication.
Overall it is a nice location and clean house to stay.

Giving a five star review was the easiest thing I've done in a while. We were very comfortable and couldn't be happier about the location. The hosts were extremely attentive. They even checked in on us while we were there. Everything was as advertised. The apartment was super clean, new, sparkling and bright. Our stay in D.C. was absolutely incredible!! Everyone was so friendly with us and very communicative if we had an issue with anything. It was super close to the metro which made traveling easier for our group. Overall it was a wonderful home to come and rest after a long day of sightseeing. We will definitely be back to this Vrbo on our future trips to D.C.

Great location, in the city, but not IN the city. You won’t feel rushed or overwhelmed with a stay here. It is half a block walk from the Metro which gets you to DC and the monuments and museums in 20 minutes. This apartment is quiet and on a lovely street. The amenities are as listed and perfect for longer stays also.

You get exactly what you see on the photos and the hosts are extremely and proactively communicative. Note it’ll be challenging for multiple people to watch tv from the bar as those closer will block the view for others. Also, I wouldn’t recommend sleeping on the couch, but the bad was very cozy with plenty of extra blankets and bedding. Overall would definitely recommend!

Great little place in a nice neighbourhood that was very clean and had everything we needed. It is also super close to the train station which was so helpful to get around! People are correct in saying you can hear people upstairs, but by no means was the noise constant or excessive. If you’re a light sleeper it could be an issue, but otherwise don’t let that put you off!

This place was nice, located in a quiet neighborhood. As mentioned in the description, you can definitely hear the people and dog upstairs walking around. There is not much soundproofing for this basement apartment. Though it technically sleeps four (there is a bed and sofa bed), I can't imagine four adults staying here. There is very little storage space. But it was clean and the kitchen was well-equipped.

It is a basement level place with tenants and a dog above so not always quiet. Also important to be very aware of parking restrictions in the neighborhood.

Very comfortable, clean, and convenient space for two traveling adults. The location alone was worth it, everything else good just made the stay even better. As others have mentioned, the sink is smaller than average (not a problem for us), and there is some upstairs neighbor noise, but while we were there it was only in the morning after 8am and evening, ending by 10-10:30pm, which worked with our schedule. Many buildings in the neighborhood also still had their Christmas lights out, which made the street quite cozy. Communication was polite, prompt, helpful, and respectful.

this is a nice apartment with nice equipment in a very very nice neighborhood. everything seems relatively new. however, it is located in the "basement" so you would have almost no natural daylight. I stayed there for work so it didn't matter for me as I was out the whole day. if you plan to work from there or have more time in the apartment I would recommend not take this one.
also the neighbors from upstairs can be heard very very loudly when they move through the house.
water pressure in the shower and bathroom are too low and the sink in the bathroom is not a bathroom sink. for two people it will not work comfortably.

The Darling Apt was exactly what we needed for our family of 4's quick weekend getaway to the city. It was cute, clean and had enough space for us to get comfortable (we did fold the hideaway bed up during the day so we could use the couch). As other's have mentioned it is a basement apt so you will hear noise above you, but they were more than courteous! A really great find and well-priced, would recommend!

Such a cute little place right by the Stadium-Armory Stop. You will hear the people upstairs. We knew this when booking and it was worth it for the great price, clean apartment and amazing location. We took the MAC from airport to DC Union station, had lunch and easily got to the apartment at check in time. No fuss, no traffic! Great hosts.
