Very comfortable, well-appointed home in a vibrant neighborhood. It’s on a quiet street just a couple of blocks from so many restaurants and shops. We were able to walk everywhere, including museums. Loved our stay!

We enjoyed our stay at The Grand Piano. The townhouse is located right next to Logan Circle and walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, groceries, bus stops and so on, but also quiet at night so we had great sleep. The house itself is amazing. It has some history but the inside is so incredibly decorated. There is plenty of space for a family of 4. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. (I’m super impressed with the Le Creuset collection.) We also enjoyed playing the piano and guitar. The host is very responsive prior to and during the stay. Highly recommend!

Great place—comfortable and convenient. Restaurants and Whole Foods are within walking distance, and the apartment has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The grand piano has a beautiful tone—it was a real joy to play.

We loved our stay here! The house has so much personality and the decor is so much fun and thoughtfully chosen. Every room was a discovery – don’t forget to check out the basement! There was too much room for the three of us (two adults and one 10yo) – there was easily enough space for another family to join us. We went to the lively strip one block over almost every day for food or ice cream or shopping or all of the above.
I couldn’t tell you about transit – we chose to walk to the National Mall every time instead because we wanted to see as much of DC as possible. We were out early morning, mid day, evening, and always felt safe in this neighbourhood. I couldn’t recommend this place more, thank you for a wonderful first visit to DC!

We had a wonderful stay here in May! Our accommodations and stay at this home absolutely made our trip to DC. First, the location – it is close to everything that is happening in Logan Circle but also one block away on a very peaceful and quiet street. It was easy to walk 20-25 minutes to the White House, 15 minutes to Dupont Circle, etc. It also felt very safe! Second the home itself – it was so cool! Thoughtfully decorated with lots of fun but also very practical items. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay – great beds, shampoo, full kitchen (thoughtfully stocked with sugar packets, coffee, etc), plenty of extra blankets and towels, and so on. It was even cooler than it looked in the pictures! Finally, the hosts were excellent. Very communicative prior to and during our stay and they sent over a very helpful local guide that we leaned heavily on. Overall an excellent stay and we hope we have another chance to come here again!

We loved the place! And got to jam out a bit on the piano and guitar. One of the guitar strings was broken so we bought new strings. Such a cool perk to have instruments at the house! Also the basement was a cool den with a huge tv, very comfy and enjoyable. Lots of amenities near-by, whole foods, cvs, ice cream, restaurants. Would definitely stay here again on my next visit to DC.

Generally, the place was quite nice, as advertised, nicely decorated and well located. The one negative for us, and it was nontrivial, was that our first night one of the light switches burned out (literally, with some smoke), and the fuse blew. We checked that there did not seem to be an ongoing risk of fire, and did not flip the circuit breaker back out of safety concerns, but it meant a chunk of the house was in the dark for the remaining couple of days of our stay (it was the weekend so getting an electrician there was a problem). The second night, when we turned on the (provided) space heater in the master bedroom (the room was rather cold), a second fuse blew. This time, we just turned off the space heater and flipped the breaker back on, and stayed cold. So, this all may have been bad luck, but the fact that there were two incidents around the electrical system was worrisome…

Pros: Beautiful place to stay in a great location! The neighborhood is cute and quiet. The basement is really cozy and they were accommodating to our last minute request to stay. Beds are super comfy.
Cons: the water turned completely off during the last day of our stay. Luckily we had showered the night before, but still not ideal and the host didn’t seem surprised or apologetic. We spoke with multiple different hosts for this location- so that was a little confusing but didn’t affect our stay. Instructions for check out were also slightly confusing.
Overall it was honestly a great stay and had no major problems. They were professional and responsive.

Our stay here was one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve ever had. The location is perfect—close to everything yet tucked away from the noise. The home is beautifully designed and feels like a true home, not just a rental property.
Unlike many Airbnbs, which can feel impersonal and poorly equipped, this property has everything you could possibly need—and only the best. Top-of-the-line TVs & appliances, luxury bedding, tasteful art & furniture, and a fully equipped kitchen with high-quality cookware, spices, and essentials. Thoughtful touches like a grill, fire pit, and even a grand piano make it truly unique. Everything – every detail – was clearly collected by someone over the years with true care and intention.
Staying here felt more like visiting the home of a gracious and artistic relative. It’s so special, I’m honestly amazed the owner is willing to share it. We’re incredibly grateful to them for allowing us the chance to experience their impeccable taste and wonderful home.

What a wonderful stay! The location was fantastic, an easy and beautiful walk to the Metro, lots to do right around the neighborhood as well. The house was better than the pictures and offered plenty of useful space that felt just like home. HSH was great with instructions, suggestions and a guide. This has been our favorite DC spot! We will absolutely book again! Thank you for an exceptional stay!

This home is so eclectic in a lovely area that is both secluded and close to shops & restaurants. It was clean & well appointed & exactly as described/pictured. The private garage was a selling point which can be accessed by an alley behind the property & was difficult to find at first.

Our stay was very comfortable! Everything we needed was there, the location was ideal and there was a lot to do. Parking was a bit rough but not unexpected. We did stay with our toddler so the stairs and some of the decor wasn’t great but we managed and all had a great stay!

There are places that feel sterile and minimal, and then there is The Grand Piano at Logan Circle. The home has so much character and little additions and amenities, that it truly feels like a home away from home. A bottle of red wine greeted us in an immaculate kitchen, and bookshelves with an eclectic selection of wonderful books are in almost every room. The piano and its story are lovely additions.
Each room has its own character, and our teenagers had their space to just be themselves. I appreciated the kitchen TV to watch the Olympics on while having coffee or a snack. We didn’t use the office, but it was so cool, I wished I’d brought some work with me. The basement was cozy and fun.
The location is pretty unbeatable. I used to come to this area for work quarterly, and I remember why I miss it. It has a buzzing nightlife, great restaurants, cafes, and everything else you need — drug store, Whole Foods, bus stops. I just wish the subway was closer, but it’s a short bus ride.

We loved our stay. The home is an easy walk to a bus stop which can take you to a Metro Station or straight downtown. This opens up the entire city. We also utilized the wonderful neighborhood, including Whole Foods and several restaurants. The home itself was perfect for our family of 3. Would definitely stay here again.

The house is beautiful and was as described. Went to DC for a work conference and the location of the house is central enough that I would walk to the capitol hilton (20min). The neighborhood is beautiful and it’s 0.2 from restaurants and bars in the Logan neighborhood.
The house it self had everything that we need. We didn’t use the kitchen much but it seemed to have all necessary things to cook a meal.
The bedrooms were nice and clean. Host was responsive to questions and provided instructions about everything.

I second all the positive reviews! Charming home with European vibe on a quiet street blocks from excellent food and beverage options. Well stocked kitchen, beds are amazing, nice quiet dedicated office space which I utilized and a large den in the basement. Communication with host was clear and responsive. The house is beautiful & very well decorated. It’s full of charm and character and everything we were looking for in our DC vacation. The host provides all the essentials making the home inviting and the stay so comfortable. The stairs are a bit narrow & steep and the floors creak a bit but that’s all part of the charm. The neighborhood is so cute, it’s a quiet street & we felt safe moving about town. The drawback is the location to the metro is a bit of a walk when considering all the walking we did touring the city, but it was super convenient to Whole Foods, CVS, a few food restaurants too. We enjoyed our stay!

We had such a great time here! If you’re a walker, easy to get the sights, nearby restaurants, bagels and coffee. Convenient garage parking (if coordinated ahead of time). Comfy beds and nice linens. The house has a lot of charm and feels like a real house, not just a rental. We have an almost 3 year old and he was fine, but if you’re traveling with younger kids, you might need to keep a closer eye on them for the stairs and valuables on display.

This is a home full of character, very comfortable and very well located for exploring DC. The Mall is walkable or a short taxi ride and public transport also looked to be a good option but we didn’t use it. Food shops like whole foods are just a few minutes walk away. We had a great stay and thoroughly recommend this for anyone staying in the area.

Beautiful house that met all our needs. Central, clean, tasteful. Clear communication. Great recommendations in the guest book. A real treat. The backyard was a bonus as we had beautiful weather. This is a great opportunity to live in a typical and nice DC townhouse in a great location. We were a family of 4, stayed one week and had a great time. Pretty views from master bedroom and living room. House super well appointed with everything you need including complete kitchen cooking supplies, dish and glassware, shampoo and all soaps, laundry supplies, even umbrellas at the door (it rained one day so we were grateful for this!)
We were here thanksgiving week and the street was quiet every night – we slept very well. Beds were comfortable and central climate control worked perfectly.

I did not actually stay at this property but wanted to write a review based on my experience of working with this host. They were very responsive, kind, and friendly when I had to postpone and then cancel my stay due to family illness and then my own. Unfortunately, this and many other airbnbs do not offer refunds anymore. I get it but it means that business travelers like me might be less likely to book AirBnb vs hotels. I have been a repeat customer at DC airbnbs in the past but when I can’t rebook because of illness, I am going to have to pay out of pocket for the lodging because I can’t expense a trip I didn’t take. Home Sweet City were willing to rebook me and said they would refund me if they could rent the property for the days I canceled. Unfortunately, it apparently did not rent, possibly because it showed as booked even after cancelled. I would advise people like me who like to stay in airbnbs for week-long work trips to check cancellation policies very carefully.

A great space with great rooms and bathrooms. We really enjoyed having the additional family room in the basement. It allowed for our toddler to have space to play. We did have to move quite a bit to childproof a little bit but we knew that going in. overall a wonderful stay in a great neighborhood.

Basement Flooded w/Raw Sewage in Beautiful D.C. Home
PROS:
– great location
– walking distance to restaurants, boutiques, convenience stores, etc
– unique decor
– delayed responses, but always responded
CONS:
– home sleeps four comfortably, not six [as advertised]
– basement does not have central heat/air [as advertised]
– basement tv does not work [as advertised]
– garage is not available to guests [as advertised]
– thermostat does not get to set temp [overworked or undersized unit]
– basement flooded w/3+ inches of raw sewage
WOULD I STAY AGAIN? No, but that is because of Airbnb, not the host. The host was easy to communicate with, and did their best to get Airbnb involved.
TIP: Book the home for the main two floors [that sleeps four], and pretend the basement does not exist

We had a great weekend staying at this location. A few things we loved and a few things to make note of depending on your needs!
Pros:
Stellar location-walkable to restaurants even with small children
Parking-there is an easily accessible garage that we made great use of and were very grateful to have!
Basement-super fun space and felt very cozy!
Host communication was pretty good start to finish! They also helped us coordinate pickup of an item we left at the home!
Things to note:
NOT kid friendly for very young children. Older children would be fine!! There are a lot of breakables and no gates or anything available (that we know of) to prevent falls down stairs.
Thank you again for a great weekend stay! We would definitely stay again when our kids are older!

This place has great potential but missed the mark in several ways on our visit. The description needs updating and unfortunately the management company has so many properties they struggle to do a good job. While very polite, their responses indicate they didn’t know this unit very well and they didn’t resolve some of our issues and questions.
The pros:
– beds in the master & 2nd room were great
– lovely dining room & kitchen
– plenty of space for our family of 6 (but only comfortable sleeping for 4)
– very close to lots of stuff (we loved Unconventional Diner)
The cons:
– sofabed is not functional – we found two air mattresses but bedding for those was lacking
– radiator heaters work but one clanked all night making it hard to sleep
– horrible sewage smell coming from downstairs bathroom was not addressed by host
– wood floors make a lot of noise & put splinters in our feet
– nothing is flat and level in the house; stairs are slippery
– 20 minute walk to nearest Metro station

This is the sweetest and coziest place we have discovered in the DC. Through all our travels and stays – this is the ultimate discovery that supersedes all previous ones by a large margin. The ‘hood, the place, the garage, the soul and the spirit of the house – everything is perfect.
I will surely be looking forward to staying here again and again.

From start to finish this was the best Airbnb! Gorgeous home with everything you could imagine needing. We were in love with the neighborhood and yummy places to eat so close to home. Beds… super comfy! The place is spotless. My boys had there own space in the basement to hang away from the adults. Trader Joe’s and whole foods are super close by. If you’re a walker you can get to every site you’d like to see from here. Most days we Ubered to the sites, walked all day including walking home. So this spot is PERFECT for whatever you might need or want to experience in DC. This is a place I would totally stay at again.

Could not find a more perfect location. Also, the house was just too sweet with everything you could possibly need in your own home, except groceries, but you could just walk a few blocks down to the trader joes to pick some up or eat at one of the tons of restaurants just a few steps away. Very comfortable, clean, and the house is so unique and beautiful. Felt like we stayed in a quality B&B but all to ourselves.

We checked that there did not seem to be an ongoing risk of fire, and did not flip the circuit breaker back out of safety concerns, but it meant a chunk of the house was in the dark for the remaining couple of days of our stay (it was the weekend so getting an electrician there was a problem). The second night, when we turned on the (provided) space heater in the master bedroom (the room was rather cold), a second fuse blew. This time, we just turned off the space heater and flipped the breaker back on, and stayed cold. So, this all may have been bad luck, but the fact that there were two incidents around the electrical system was worrisome...

Pros: Beautiful place to stay in a great location! The neighborhood is cute and quiet. The basement is really cozy and they were accommodating to our last minute request to stay. Beds are super comfy.
Cons: the water turned completely off during the last day of our stay. Luckily we had showered the night before, but still not ideal and the host didn’t seem surprised or apologetic. We spoke with multiple different hosts for this location- so that was a little confusing but didn’t affect our stay. Instructions for check out were also slightly confusing.
Overall it was honestly a great stay and had no major problems. They were professional and responsive.

Our stay here was one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve ever had. The location is perfect—close to everything yet tucked away from the noise. The home is beautifully designed and feels like a true home, not just a rental property.
Unlike many Airbnbs, which can feel impersonal and poorly equipped, this property has everything you could possibly need—and only the best. Top-of-the-line TVs & appliances, luxury bedding, tasteful art & furniture, and a fully equipped kitchen with high-quality cookware, spices, and essentials. Thoughtful touches like a grill, fire pit, and even a grand piano make it truly unique. Everything - every detail - was clearly collected by someone over the years with true care and intention.
Staying here felt more like visiting the home of a gracious and artistic relative. It’s so special, I’m honestly amazed the owner is willing to share it. We’re incredibly grateful to them for allowing us the chance to experience their impeccable taste and wonderful home.

What a wonderful stay! The location was fantastic, an easy and beautiful walk to the Metro, lots to do right around the neighborhood as well. The house was better than the pictures and offered plenty of useful space that felt just like home. HSH was great with instructions, suggestions and a guide. This has been our favorite DC spot! We will absolutely book again! Thank you for an exceptional stay!

This home is so eclectic in a lovely area that is both secluded and close to shops & restaurants. It was clean & well appointed & exactly as described/pictured. The private garage was a selling point which can be accessed by an alley behind the property & was difficult to find at first.

Our stay was very comfortable! Everything we needed was there, the location was ideal and there was a lot to do. Parking was a bit rough but not unexpected. We did stay with our toddler so the stairs and some of the decor wasn't great but we managed and all had a great stay!

There are places that feel sterile and minimal, and then there is The Grand Piano at Logan Circle. The home has so much character and little additions and amenities, that it truly feels like a home away from home. A bottle of red wine greeted us in an immaculate kitchen, and bookshelves with an eclectic selection of wonderful books are in almost every room. The piano and its story are lovely additions.
Each room has its own character, and our teenagers had their space to just be themselves. I appreciated the kitchen TV to watch the Olympics on while having coffee or a snack. We didn't use the office, but it was so cool, I wished I'd brought some work with me. The basement was cozy and fun.
The location is pretty unbeatable. I used to come to this area for work quarterly, and I remember why I miss it. It has a buzzing nightlife, great restaurants, cafes, and everything else you need -- drug store, Whole Foods, bus stops. I just wish the subway was closer, but it's a short bus ride.

We loved our stay. The home is an easy walk to a bus stop which can take you to a Metro Station or straight downtown. This opens up the entire city. We also utilized the wonderful neighborhood, including Whole Foods and several restaurants. The home itself was perfect for our family of 3. Would definitely stay here again.

The house is beautiful and was as described. Went to DC for a work conference and the location of the house is central enough that I would walk to the capitol hilton (20min). The neighborhood is beautiful and it’s 0.2 from restaurants and bars in the Logan neighborhood.
The house it self had everything that we need. We didn’t use the kitchen much but it seemed to have all necessary things to cook a meal.
The bedrooms were nice and clean. Host was responsive to questions and provided instructions about everything.

Well stocked kitchen, beds are amazing, nice quiet dedicated office space which I utilized and a large den in the basement. Communication with host was clear and responsive. The house is beautiful & very well decorated. It’s full of charm and character and everything we were looking for in our DC vacation. The host provides all the essentials making the home inviting and the stay so comfortable. The stairs are a bit narrow & steep and the floors creak a bit but that’s all part of the charm. The neighborhood is so cute, it’s a quiet street & we felt safe moving about town. The drawback is the location to the metro is a bit of a walk when considering all the walking we did touring the city, but it was super convenient to Whole Foods, CVS, a few food restaurants too. We enjoyed our stay!

We had such a great time here! If you’re a walker, easy to get the sights, nearby restaurants, bagels and coffee. Convenient garage parking (if coordinated ahead of time). Comfy beds and nice linens. The house has a lot of charm and feels like a real house, not just a rental. We have an almost 3 year old and he was fine, but if you’re traveling with younger kids, you might need to keep a closer eye on them for the stairs and valuables on display.

This is a home full of character, very comfortable and very well located for exploring DC. The Mall is walkable or a short taxi ride and public transport also looked to be a good option but we didn’t use it. Food shops like whole foods are just a few minutes walk away. We had a great stay and thoroughly recommend this for anyone staying in the area.

This is a great opportunity to live in a typical and nice DC townhouse in a great location. We were a family of 4, stayed one week and had a great time. Pretty views from master bedroom and living room. House super well appointed with everything you need including complete kitchen cooking supplies, dish and glassware, shampoo and all soaps, laundry supplies, even umbrellas at the door (it rained one day so we were grateful for this!)
We were here thanksgiving week and the street was quiet every night - we slept very well. Beds were comfortable and central climate control worked perfectly.

I did not actually stay at this property but wanted to write a review based on my experience of working with this host. They were very responsive, kind, and friendly when I had to postpone and then cancel my stay due to family illness and then my own. Unfortunately, this and many other airbnbs do not offer refunds anymore. I get it but it means that business travelers like me might be less likely to book AirBnb vs hotels. I have been a repeat customer at DC airbnbs in the past but when I can’t rebook because of illness, I am going to have to pay out of pocket for the lodging because I can’t expense a trip I didn’t take. Home Sweet City were willing to rebook me and said they would refund me if they could rent the property for the days I canceled. Unfortunately, it apparently did not rent, possibly because it showed as booked even after cancelled. I would advise people like me who like to stay in airbnbs for week-long work trips to check cancellation policies very carefully.

A great space with great rooms and bathrooms. We really enjoyed having the additional family room in the basement. It allowed for our toddler to have space to play. We did have to move quite a bit to childproof a little bit but we knew that going in. overall a wonderful stay in a great neighborhood.

PROS:
- great location
- walking distance to restaurants, boutiques, convenience stores, etc
- unique decor
- delayed responses, but always responded
CONS:
- home sleeps four comfortably, not six [as advertised]
- basement does not have central heat/air [as advertised]
- basement tv does not work [as advertised]
- garage is not available to guests [as advertised]
- thermostat does not get to set temp [overworked or undersized unit]
- basement flooded w/3+ inches of raw sewage
WOULD I STAY AGAIN? No, but that is because of Airbnb, not the host. The host was easy to communicate with, and did their best to get Airbnb involved.
TIP: Book the home for the main two floors [that sleeps four], and pretend the basement does not exist

We had a great weekend staying at this location. A few things we loved and a few things to make note of depending on your needs!
Pros:
Stellar location-walkable to restaurants even with small children
Parking-there is an easily accessible garage that we made great use of and were very grateful to have!
Basement-super fun space and felt very cozy!
Host communication was pretty good start to finish! They also helped us coordinate pickup of an item we left at the home!
Things to note:
NOT kid friendly for very young children. Older children would be fine!! There are a lot of breakables and no gates or anything available (that we know of) to prevent falls down stairs.
Thank you again for a great weekend stay! We would definitely stay again when our kids are older!

This place has great potential but missed the mark in several ways on our visit. The description needs updating and unfortunately the management company has so many properties they struggle to do a good job. While very polite, their responses indicate they didn't know this unit very well and they didn't resolve some of our issues and questions.
The pros:
- beds in the master & 2nd room were great
- lovely dining room & kitchen
- plenty of space for our family of 6 (but only comfortable sleeping for 4)
- very close to lots of stuff (we loved Unconventional Diner)
The cons:
- sofabed is not functional - we found two air mattresses but bedding for those was lacking
- radiator heaters work but one clanked all night making it hard to sleep
- horrible sewage smell coming from downstairs bathroom was not addressed by host
- wood floors make a lot of noise & put splinters in our feet
- nothing is flat and level in the house; stairs are slippery
- 20 minute walk to nearest Metro station

This is the sweetest and coziest place we have discovered in the DC. Through all our travels and stays - this is the ultimate discovery that supersedes all previous ones by a large margin. The ‘hood, the place, the garage, the soul and the spirit of the house - everything is perfect.
I will surely be looking forward to staying here again and again.

From start to finish this was the best Airbnb! Gorgeous home with everything you could imagine needing. We were in love with the neighborhood and yummy places to eat so close to home. Beds… super comfy! The place is spotless. My boys had there own space in the basement to hang away from the adults. Trader Joe’s and whole foods are super close by. If you’re a walker you can get to every site you’d like to see from here. Most days we Ubered to the sites, walked all day including walking home. So this spot is PERFECT for whatever you might need or want to experience in DC. This is a place I would totally stay at again.

Could not find a more perfect location. Also, the house was just too sweet with everything you could possibly need in your own home, except groceries, but you could just walk a few blocks down to the trader joes to pick some up or eat at one of the tons of restaurants just a few steps away. Very comfortable, clean, and the house is so unique and beautiful. Felt like we stayed in a quality B&B but all to ourselves.
