The space was perfect for a week in DC for a work trip. With a couple of bus stops a short walk away and the red line also not too far – it’s easy enough to get around all of DC. The apartment has everything you’ll need and check-in was a breeze. The entry way is a little tight – but isn’t too much of an issue. Would stay here again!

This is a fully equipped, well-furnished apartment with most everything two people would need/want. The kitchen is totally modern, and the bathroom is good, with a mirrored medicine cabinet with storage shelves! As with every basement apartment where we’ve stayed in D.C., there are some quirks. The main quirk for this one is that the front entrance under the stairs is extremely narrow and the stairs down somewhat steep, so if one is a very large person and/or has large luggage, it might be a bit of a challenge. However, once inside, all is lovely, well-lit, and air-conditioned (which was so appreciated in the hot weather)The location is excellent, in Adams Morgan close to shopping, excellent restaurants and cafes, and public transportation.

We return to this place frequently because it fits our needs perfectly. The folks that manage the apartment communicate well and often. Where else are you going to go and hear the lions roar from the zoo?

Everything was fine, except that both refrigerators were non-functional. The seafood I had brought along thawed completely after sitting overnight; to prevent the food from spoiling, I had to spend a significant amount of time the next morning cooking all of it—even though I had originally planned to consume it over the course of several days. However, overall communication with the team was quite smooth, and they promptly delivered a new refrigerator to me on the evening of the second day. Although it arrived a bit late, I was still very grateful, as it ensured my milk and eggs remained safe for the remaining three days of my stay. Additionally, while the bathroom was generally quite nice, the bathtub was smaller than I had anticipated; due to its small size and lack of cleanliness, I decided to abandon the idea of taking a bath. Overall, thanks to the prompt resolution of the refrigerator issue, I was reasonably satisfied with my stay.

The apartment was perfect for our stay.; immaculate, well appointed but we couldn’t get the tv to work and the freezer didn’t work. That wasn’t a big deal but it could have been for someone else.
Otherwise, we would recommend this place and since the location is perfect, it was immaculate and really cute , we will definitely book again.

I had stayed here before several years ago and forgot how great it was! It’s a very big space with possibly the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in (I emailed to ask what kind it is). The location is absolutely perfect as well… close to coffee shops and two metro stops as well as great places to eat. Definitely a bargain and a great stay!

This was my second stay. Was a great stay per my last visit. The team is super responsive whenever I expressed a reasonable need. The Adams Morgan area is great and very convenient. Great restaurants. Safeway is right around the corner. Metro is close by. Parking is tough so I opt for Uber and Metro. Great walking though so the option is there. Anyway, I will stay here again.

The location was great, easy to save money on food and easy to find a good reason not to cook! Great restaurants and it’s very walkable to a lot of town. Easy to get to the metro to pop out of the neighborhood and the place was cute with a gigantic closet so my favorite kind of bedroom! Would definitely stay here again!

Great location on a quiet street just steps from vibrant Adams-Morgan. Easy access to trains and restaurants. A lovely, spacious oasis to come back to at the end of a busy day. All instructions, from WiFi access to check in/out, were clear and I had no need to contact the host, but I have no doubt they would have been helpful and responsive if I had needed anything. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend.

It was a okay stay. The place is small & the height of the ceiling is low.
1. The place is in the basement a home overlooking a street. Very tiny entrance & hard to get inside. Lots of mosquitoes since it is a small space near the bushes. 2. Utensils were old & worn out. Dishes with scratches & some had cracks too. Some spoons also had some scratches 3. The door to the laundry is very hard to open & close maybe because the place is old. 4. Bedding was good but the bed was not done with neatness when we checked in. 5. They provided very limited towels only – small face towels & bath towel only one per person, & 2 hand towels. No mats on the flooring in the kitchen.
6. The dish soap in the kitchen had very disgusting smell so couldn’t use it for dishes. Maybe it was not refilled or cleaned in days. 7. The shower curtain was not clean and was kind of old. 8. The sofa was not comfortable & the mattress in the sofa cum bed was very wobbly & not comfortable also. 9. VeryCramped dining area.

The neighborhood was quiet and pretty with a park at the end of the street and lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Be advised, the walk to the zoo is 20-25 minutes; I expected a little closer but easy walk nonetheless.
Good-sized apartment for a party of 3! Would not recommend more. The entryway is extremely small, and the shower ceiling height is a bit low, so if you’re much over 6’ might want to reconsider. As an older building, it definitely has its quirks, but I appreciated that the A/C units were more than adequate to cool off the place.
Parking on weekends – wowzers. It’s tough. I was lucky to find a spot on the street for my minivan and chose to keep it there until I absolutely HAD to drive.
One more note – I wasn’t expecting a management company as a host vs. a couple. They were helpful and responsive though. Overall, a fantastic stay!

This is the perfect location! Right off of Adams Mill, where all the restaurants and bars are and there’s a grocery store around the corner! We love it here cause it’s also very close to our relatives. We stay here every time we come!

It was honestly exactly as described, and a real home away from home! We ended up extending our stay the first day we arrived. The apartment is gorgeous and the host is very thoughtful. We found tea, coffee, pasta you name it in the cupboard. It is located in a calm neighborhood, 2 blocks from a park which was perfect for my toddler and I. I will definitely be staying there again on my next trip to DC!

This is a very nice and clean apartment in a charming neighborhood. It’s on a quiet street that is still only minutes away from Adams Morgan and with access to plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants.
Rock Creek Park is nearby which makes it easy to seek out the beautiful nature DC has to offer.
The only very minor issue was that the WiFi was sometimes unreliable, but never for long periods.
The property managers were extremely responsive and friendly.
I wouldn’t hesitate at all to stay here again.

I had a lovely stay! The place was very well appointed. Home away from home. Great kitchen with everything you need. Bed super comfortable. Pullout was very comfortable. Communication was super easy and fast with the property management. The neighborhood is awesome. Easy to get to Adams Morgan restaurants, shops and services. Safeway a couple of blocks away. Metro close by. Really an ideal spot for a visit to DC.

We loved staying at this place! It is so charming and ha everything we needed. The bed was very confortable, we cooked and we did laundry and all worked well. The little living room is so charming! (The one thing I would recommend is to check the sofa bed because it’s in need of some update). The location couldn’t be better and even the neighbors are kind and pleasant.

We were very comfortable in this apartment. It was spotless, secure and welcoming. The kitchen was well appointed, and local coffee and teas were provided. It was easy for us to eat in a few times. We also enjoyed eating at some of the many good restaurants close by. The professionally laundered linens were lovely. The pandas are very close by 🙂 as well as metro and bus stops. We will be happy to stay again!

This is my second time staying at this location, both times for work travel. It is perfectly located, in one of the city’s best neighborhoods – very walkable and close to public transportation. Wonderful restaurants just around the corner and easy access to beautiful walks in Rock Creek Park and the zoo. Home Sweet City are terrific hosts and the apartment is perfectly set up with very helpful supplies (toiletries, coffee) to welcome your arrival. Comfortable bed and lovely, quiet street. Recommend as a great home base for sightseeing or work-related travel.

This was a great location for a week in DC. The apartment was clean, everything worked, and it looked like the photos. There were two sets of towels and a washer and dryer. The bath products were great! We slept very soundly on the comfortable bed after days of walking the city. There were pots and pans in the kitchen, a full set of silverware, and a dishwasher (with detergent). The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe. All in all, we were very happy to stay here and would use the location again.
One note: The entrance is a tight fit–if you are a bigger person, you might need a different place to stay.

The unit is very quiet and comfortable and provides all that you need. The pictures in the listing are accurate which is not always the case. For a basement unit it is very bright with nice windows. Neighborhood is super convenient. The entrance is quite tight and oddly designedso if you are very tall or need a walker I do not recommend this unit. Otherwise Enjoy /we did

This is the second time I have stayed at a property managed by Home Sweet City and they are great to work with. The descriptions of the property are very detailed and accurate and they are outstanding communicators.
This property is on a beautiful and quiet street in a wonderful neighborhood. The warnings about the narrowness of the entry is no joke. I’m not. Big guy, and I had to be extremely careful each time we entered and exited the property. The unit was clean and spacious. The WiFi was a little spotty but it did the job. Other than that we had no complaints!

A great place tucked into one of the beautiful, historic townhouses in a quiet neighborhood.
Walk to live jazz at the Green Island or spend a day at the nearby zoo. We strolled all the way to the mall to see the cherry blossoms and some monuments – this is a little bit of a walk, but not unpleasant if you don’t mind the distance.
Parking is difficult. If you’re driving to town or renting a car, the property managers make it easy to get a permit for on-street parting in the neighborhood, but even then we had to get really lucky to park on the block; usually we’d circle outward and find a parking spot within a five-minute walk. Not a big deal at all, and to be expected in a dense neighborhood, but thought it worth mentioning.
As someone who has lived in neighboring Northern Virginia, I was happy to stay in D.C. and the proximity of this home to the places we wanted to spend time was perfect.
Needless to say it was clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. I’d stay here again without hesitation.

Just love this property, wanted to ask the owners if they would sell me the unit. It’s prefect for business travelers like me who don’t want the corporate hotel hassle and to be apart of the community once your work day is over. I plan to book this location every chance I get. Would love for pricing adjustments base on number of days you stay. Thank you for letting me stay in your beautiful home….. Nando Martinez customer service was on top of their game. I wanted to book a late check out, but the office was closed, so I sent a email and within seconds I received a response and everything was handled which made my last few hours at the property fairly easy going through checking out. I hope this property is available when I return because I plan to books this location every time.

The apt. was very nice! I enjoyed my stay. But your fees are WAY TOO HIGH!! I was charged an extra $59 for a “property damage waiver” which is absurd. It’s one thing to take some sort of deposit against possible damage, but to just charge up front as a fee is not right. I wouldn’t use your service again because of it — I”ll stick to Airbnb.

This Lanier Heights property is everything a business traveler can hope for: clean, quiet, and convenient to everything you need. Some of the features that I found to be above and beyond included the dimmable lights in every room (I hate glaring overheard lights!), interesting decor, a well appointed kitchen (thank you for decent wine glasses), and a full size private laundry! This will definitely be a first choice for my regular DC trips whenever it is availabile.

We had a very pleasant stay at this property. All was as pictured/described and we were very comfortable. The property was quiet and the neighborhood is charming and feels quite safe. The grocery store is only two blocks away, so quite convenient. We did have a problem with the washing machine not working. The staff paid for our laundry to be done mid-week, however the lack of a machine did put a slight crimp in our plans as we had packed lightly, expecting to do laundry there. The staff was trying hard to get the machine repaired, hopefully it is done now.
My only recommendation would be to provide pot holders for those wishing to cook – we used the kitchen towels but real pot holders would be easier.

We live nearby and were looking for a place to stay while we were having work done on our condominium. This fit the bill nicely. It was comfortable and the kitchen was nicely appointed so that we could cook. It was fun to explore a slightly different neighborhood and find some new places. Check in was easy and the apartment looked great when we checked in. It’s a good size for one or two people. As reported, parking can be a challenge.

This was absolutely THE PERFECT AIRBNB for a weekend staycation. This was for my mom, grandma and sister and they were completely obsessed with the place. The location proved to be perfect because local restaurants and groceries were so close by and very walkable. The place itself was SPOTLESS and so cozy and the perfect size for 3 people. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone that wants to be in the HEART of DC with easy access to so many other neighborhoods.

This apartment is welcoming, quiet, clean, and spacious. Our stay was a result of us needing to find adequate air conditioning close to our existing home in DC. Not only did this place provide wonderful air conditioning, but it was also a wonderful place to work comfortably as well as relax and feel like we were on a vacation just a few short streets away. We enjoyed walks at night exploring the winding streets and character filled architecture of the surrounding neighborhood.

The place is very clean and quiet. The bed is comfortable and plenty of space for the 2 of us. Location is great! You are in a quiet neighborhood just a short few blocks yo all the action. Loved being able to walk down 18th through Adams Morgan to Dupont Circle. Lots of great bars and restaurants to choose from. Very convenient to coffee shops or grocery stores. Our favorites were Solluna for coffee, The Greenzone for the best hummus and green cocktails. Astoria and Agora were both great food!
My husband loved running in rock creek and through the zoo every morning.

This charming basement apt was perfect. All the comforts needed, very clean, lots of amenities! This is one of the best neighborhoods in DC— so walkable to about 1000 great restaurants, parks, wonderful walks and nearby metro! It’s a perfect place to stay! The apt has a very comfortable layout and lots of space. It’s a great place to stay when in DC!

We enjoyed a comfortable stay near great restaurants, fun shops and a manageable walk to the metro which is the best and easiest way to travel in Washington DC. There is a playground and basketball court just a couple of blocks away. Our host checked in a few times to ensure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

This apartment was clean, quiet and very cozy. So convenient to have a washer/dryer and plenty of room for my belongings so I could really move in for 10 days and feel at home. The kitchen is very roomy and functional. The location can’t be beat for access to all the best DC has to offer, with DuPont Circle and the Zoo short walks away. I would definitely stay here again! This Airbnb is set on a nice and quiet side street, but is still only a short walk from many restaurants, shops, parks, the zoo, metro stations, etc.
Home Sweet City was a great host. They provided a lot of clear information leading up to my stay, and were very responsive/proactive with communication throughout it. The internet was giving me some issues when I first arrived, and they were quick to reply and offer to connect with the upstairs neighbors to reset it.
Everything was very clean (spotless, well-equipped kitchen), and comfy (bed done up like it would be in a hotel). Despite being basement level, there still felt like there was a good amount of privacy.
I’d recommend this stay for anyone looking to have a nice “home-base” to return to while going out and exploring the area.

Accommodations just like home – super kitchen, good water pressure in shower for thick hair, comfy and cozy during thunderstorms!

I really enjoyed this place! It was roomy and comfortable. The neighborhood was so quiet and cute. I was able to walk to coffee and pastry shops, and my family even walked to the zoo from there! It was also pretty close to all the DC sites by car. Although we didn’t cook there, it did seem to provide anything you’d need! Make sure to follow the instructions for parking that the host provides. It was a game changer! I would 100% stay here again!

The space was perfect for a week in DC for a work trip. With a couple of bus stops a short walk away and the red line also not too far - it's easy enough to get around all of DC. The apartment has everything you'll need and check-in was a breeze. The entry way is a little tight - but isn't too much of an issue. Would stay here again!

Located on a pretty, shaded residential street, reasonable walking distance to the metro station in Woodley Park, and great access on foot to trendy Adams Morgan businesses. This is a fully equipped, well-furnished apartment with most everything two people would need/want. The kitchen is totally modern, and the bathroom is good, with a mirrored medicine cabinet with storage shelves! As with every basement apartment where we’ve stayed in D.C., there are some quirks. The main quirk for this one is that the front entrance under the stairs is extremely narrow and the stairs down somewhat steep, so if one is a very large person and/or has large luggage, it might be a bit of a challenge. However, once inside, all is lovely, well-lit, and air-conditioned (which was so appreciated in the hot weather)The location is excellent, in Adams Morgan close to shopping, excellent restaurants and cafes, and public transportation.

Everything was fine, except that both refrigerators were non-functional. The seafood I had brought along thawed completely after sitting overnight; to prevent the food from spoiling, I had to spend a significant amount of time the next morning cooking all of it—even though I had originally planned to consume it over the course of several days. However, overall communication with the team was quite smooth, and they promptly delivered a new refrigerator to me on the evening of the second day. Although it arrived a bit late, I was still very grateful, as it ensured my milk and eggs remained safe for the remaining three days of my stay. Additionally, while the bathroom was generally quite nice, the bathtub was smaller than I had anticipated; due to its small size and lack of cleanliness, I decided to abandon the idea of taking a bath. Overall, thanks to the prompt resolution of the refrigerator issue, I was reasonably satisfied with my stay.

I had stayed here before several years ago and forgot how great it was! It's a very big space with possibly the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in (I emailed to ask what kind it is). The location is absolutely perfect as well... close to coffee shops and two metro stops as well as great places to eat. Definitely a bargain and a great stay!

This was my second stay. Was a great stay per my last visit. The team is super responsive whenever I expressed a reasonable need. The Adams Morgan area is great and very convenient. Great restaurants. Safeway is right around the corner. Metro is close by. Parking is tough so I opt for Uber and Metro. Great walking though so the option is there. Anyway, I will stay here again.

Great location on a quiet street just steps from vibrant Adams-Morgan. Easy access to trains and restaurants. A lovely, spacious oasis to come back to at the end of a busy day. All instructions, from WiFi access to check in/out, were clear and I had no need to contact the host, but I have no doubt they would have been helpful and responsive if I had needed anything. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend.

It was a okay stay. The place is small & the height of the ceiling is low.
1. The place is in the basement a home overlooking a street. Very tiny entrance & hard to get inside. Lots of mosquitoes since it is a small space near the bushes. 2. Utensils were old & worn out. Dishes with scratches & some had cracks too. Some spoons also had some scratches 3. The door to the laundry is very hard to open & close maybe because the place is old. 4. Bedding was good but the bed was not done with neatness when we checked in. 5. They provided very limited towels only - small face towels & bath towel only one per person, & 2 hand towels. No mats on the flooring in the kitchen.
6. The dish soap in the kitchen had very disgusting smell so couldn’t use it for dishes. Maybe it was not refilled or cleaned in days. 7. The shower curtain was not clean and was kind of old. 8. The sofa was not comfortable & the mattress in the sofa cum bed was very wobbly & not comfortable also. 9. VeryCramped dining area.

The neighborhood was quiet and pretty with a park at the end of the street and lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Be advised, the walk to the zoo is 20-25 minutes; I expected a little closer but easy walk nonetheless.
Good-sized apartment for a party of 3! Would not recommend more. The entryway is extremely small, and the shower ceiling height is a bit low, so if you’re much over 6’ might want to reconsider. As an older building, it definitely has its quirks, but I appreciated that the A/C units were more than adequate to cool off the place.
Parking on weekends - wowzers. It’s tough. I was lucky to find a spot on the street for my minivan and chose to keep it there until I absolutely HAD to drive.
One more note - I wasn’t expecting a management company as a host vs. a couple. They were helpful and responsive though. Overall, a fantastic stay!

It was honestly exactly as described, and a real home away from home! We ended up extending our stay the first day we arrived. The apartment is gorgeous and the host is very thoughtful. We found tea, coffee, pasta you name it in the cupboard. It is located in a calm neighborhood, 2 blocks from a park which was perfect for my toddler and I. I will definitely be staying there again on my next trip to DC!

This is a very nice and clean apartment in a charming neighborhood. It’s on a quiet street that is still only minutes away from Adams Morgan and with access to plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants.
Rock Creek Park is nearby which makes it easy to seek out the beautiful nature DC has to offer.
The only very minor issue was that the WiFi was sometimes unreliable, but never for long periods.
The property managers were extremely responsive and friendly.
I wouldn’t hesitate at all to stay here again.

We loved staying at this place! It is so charming and ha everything we needed. The bed was very confortable, we cooked and we did laundry and all worked well. The little living room is so charming! (The one thing I would recommend is to check the sofa bed because it’s in need of some update). The location couldn’t be better and even the neighbors are kind and pleasant.

This is my second time staying at this location, both times for work travel. It is perfectly located, in one of the city's best neighborhoods - very walkable and close to public transportation. Wonderful restaurants just around the corner and easy access to beautiful walks in Rock Creek Park and the zoo. Home Sweet City are terrific hosts and the apartment is perfectly set up with very helpful supplies (toiletries, coffee) to welcome your arrival. Comfortable bed and lovely, quiet street. Recommend as a great home base for sightseeing or work-related travel.

This was a great location for a week in DC. The apartment was clean, everything worked, and it looked like the photos. There were two sets of towels and a washer and dryer. The bath products were great! We slept very soundly on the comfortable bed after days of walking the city. There were pots and pans in the kitchen, a full set of silverware, and a dishwasher (with detergent). The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe. All in all, we were very happy to stay here and would use the location again.
One note: The entrance is a tight fit--if you are a bigger person, you might need a different place to stay.

The unit is very quiet and comfortable and provides all that you need. The pictures in the listing are accurate which is not always the case. For a basement unit it is very bright with nice windows. Neighborhood is super convenient. The entrance is quite tight and oddly designedso if you are very tall or need a walker I do not recommend this unit. Otherwise Enjoy /we did

This is the second time I have stayed at a property managed by Home Sweet City and they are great to work with. The descriptions of the property are very detailed and accurate and they are outstanding communicators.
This property is on a beautiful and quiet street in a wonderful neighborhood. The warnings about the narrowness of the entry is no joke. I’m not. Big guy, and I had to be extremely careful each time we entered and exited the property. The unit was clean and spacious. The WiFi was a little spotty but it did the job. Other than that we had no complaints!

A great place tucked into one of the beautiful, historic townhouses in a quiet neighborhood.
Walk to live jazz at the Green Island or spend a day at the nearby zoo. We strolled all the way to the mall to see the cherry blossoms and some monuments - this is a little bit of a walk, but not unpleasant if you don't mind the distance.
Parking is difficult. If you're driving to town or renting a car, the property managers make it easy to get a permit for on-street parting in the neighborhood, but even then we had to get really lucky to park on the block; usually we'd circle outward and find a parking spot within a five-minute walk. Not a big deal at all, and to be expected in a dense neighborhood, but thought it worth mentioning.
As someone who has lived in neighboring Northern Virginia, I was happy to stay in D.C. and the proximity of this home to the places we wanted to spend time was perfect.
Needless to say it was clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. I'd stay here again without hesitation.

Just love this property, wanted to ask the owners if they would sell me the unit. It’s prefect for business travelers like me who don’t want the corporate hotel hassle and to be apart of the community once your work day is over. I plan to book this location every chance I get. Would love for pricing adjustments base on number of days you stay. Thank you for letting me stay in your beautiful home..... Nando Martinez customer service was on top of their game. I wanted to book a late check out, but the office was closed, so I sent a email and within seconds I received a response and everything was handled which made my last few hours at the property fairly easy going through checking out. I hope this property is available when I return because I plan to books this location every time.

The apt. was very nice! I enjoyed my stay. But your fees are WAY TOO HIGH!! I was charged an extra $59 for a "property damage waiver" which is absurd. It's one thing to take some sort of deposit against possible damage, but to just charge up front as a fee is not right. I wouldn't use your service again because of it -- I"ll stick to Airbnb.

This Lanier Heights property is everything a business traveler can hope for: clean, quiet, and convenient to everything you need. Some of the features that I found to be above and beyond included the dimmable lights in every room (I hate glaring overheard lights!), interesting decor, a well appointed kitchen (thank you for decent wine glasses), and a full size private laundry! This will definitely be a first choice for my regular DC trips whenever it is availabile.

We had a very pleasant stay at this property. All was as pictured/described and we were very comfortable. The property was quiet and the neighborhood is charming and feels quite safe. The grocery store is only two blocks away, so quite convenient. We did have a problem with the washing machine not working. The staff paid for our laundry to be done mid-week, however the lack of a machine did put a slight crimp in our plans as we had packed lightly, expecting to do laundry there. The staff was trying hard to get the machine repaired, hopefully it is done now.
My only recommendation would be to provide pot holders for those wishing to cook - we used the kitchen towels but real pot holders would be easier.

We live nearby and were looking for a place to stay while we were having work done on our condominium. This fit the bill nicely. It was comfortable and the kitchen was nicely appointed so that we could cook. It was fun to explore a slightly different neighborhood and find some new places. Check in was easy and the apartment looked great when we checked in. It’s a good size for one or two people. As reported, parking can be a challenge.

This was absolutely THE PERFECT AIRBNB for a weekend staycation. This was for my mom, grandma and sister and they were completely obsessed with the place. The location proved to be perfect because local restaurants and groceries were so close by and very walkable. The place itself was SPOTLESS and so cozy and the perfect size for 3 people. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone that wants to be in the HEART of DC with easy access to so many other neighborhoods.

This apartment is welcoming, quiet, clean, and spacious. Our stay was a result of us needing to find adequate air conditioning close to our existing home in DC. Not only did this place provide wonderful air conditioning, but it was also a wonderful place to work comfortably as well as relax and feel like we were on a vacation just a few short streets away. We enjoyed walks at night exploring the winding streets and character filled architecture of the surrounding neighborhood.

The place is very clean and quiet. The bed is comfortable and plenty of space for the 2 of us. Location is great! You are in a quiet neighborhood just a short few blocks yo all the action. Loved being able to walk down 18th through Adams Morgan to Dupont Circle. Lots of great bars and restaurants to choose from. Very convenient to coffee shops or grocery stores. Our favorites were Solluna for coffee, The Greenzone for the best hummus and green cocktails. Astoria and Agora were both great food!
My husband loved running in rock creek and through the zoo every morning.

We enjoyed a comfortable stay near great restaurants, fun shops and a manageable walk to the metro which is the best and easiest way to travel in Washington DC. There is a playground and basketball court just a couple of blocks away. Our host checked in a few times to ensure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

This Airbnb is set on a nice and quiet side street, but is still only a short walk from many restaurants, shops, parks, the zoo, metro stations, etc.
Home Sweet City was a great host. They provided a lot of clear information leading up to my stay, and were very responsive/proactive with communication throughout it. The internet was giving me some issues when I first arrived, and they were quick to reply and offer to connect with the upstairs neighbors to reset it.
Everything was very clean (spotless, well-equipped kitchen), and comfy (bed done up like it would be in a hotel). Despite being basement level, there still felt like there was a good amount of privacy.
I’d recommend this stay for anyone looking to have a nice “home-base” to return to while going out and exploring the area.

Had an excellent stay at Home Sweet City. The apartment is located in a quiet street but you are within a few minutes walking distance to the lively Adams Morgan neighbourhood, you are next door to Rock Creek Park, and there are some great restaurants and a big supermarket nearby. The only well-advertised downside is the rather cramped doorway entrance, but even for a big guy like me that did not prove to be any issue at all (one just needs to duck 🙂

Ideal for 3-4 persons, safe peaceful leafy neighborhood walking distance to the zoo, Adams-Morgan for restaurants/nightlife, and the subway/buses to museums and sights. A/C units functioned great during the summer heat. Homey furnishings with ample kitchen space. Linens were clean and fresh incl. the spare ones for the pull-out sofa. Although it was not a concern for our group of 3 younger adults, the entrance does have some steps that those with mobility concerns should inquire about. We parked one car easily on the street using the DC visitor permit as advised by owner(s). We would be happy to come back for another stay!

We enjoyed our stay, it was easy to get to from the Metro station, a short walk to the Zoo, restaurants and to the grocery store. Very near a playground though we did not utilize as our daughter is a teenager. Bathroom is rather small when sharing with three. A nice quiet neighborhood.

Great location. We had a slight issue with the temperature control and they sent someone out immediately over a holiday weekend. The management was excellent!

Home Sweet City was a fabulous experience! Stylish, convenient, and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the fall. We would recommend Home Sweet City to friends and family!!

A lovely place to stay for a DC visit! Easy access to walkable areas, metro stop, many dining choices. Lovely, quiet neighborhood to come back to after a busy day. Some of the individual touches that make a stay extra nice - lovely, large bath towels, plenty of bathroom and kitchen products, great water pressure in shower. Comfortably and thoughtfully furnished, comfortable bed, temperature control for unit was easy. As has been mentioned - it is a tight entrance and an English basement, but once inside felt light and bright, and very comfortable. We will choose this location again for a trip to DC.

Great spot to stay. As mentioned in other reviews the entryway is narrow with steps and the shower would feel small to someone tall or large. Neighborhood was great. Host was very communicative and let me know as soon as the place was ready (which was earlier than expected). Kitchen had good basics. Washer and dryer turned out to be great to have! Nicely decorated spot.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. The location can’t be beat, and the management company was very responsive when we faced a couple minor issues. Everything was very clean. The bedroom is big enough to accommodate a queen sized inflatable mattress, which allowed us to keep the living room usable for our family of four. If you’re a big cook, be aware that the basics are there, but not a lot of plates, bowls etc. We just washed everything after every use instead of waiting for the dishwasher to fill up. Would stay again - hopefully during a less busy time when prices are lower.

We loved this apartment. Comfortable furniture with several nice touches to make the place feel warm and homelike. The small opening to the entrance really is tight and has steep steps. I'm 6'-1", 195 lbs, and I had to twist a bit to get in without hitting my head on the bricks. So I wouldn't recommend for someone that is very large or with mobility issues. But once inside, we felt very safe, warm, and cozy. We will definitely consider staying here again!

I had an excellent stay with Home Sweet City. The hosts are some of the most attentive and helpful I've encountered. I had an issue with the heater upon arrival, which they wasted no time is resolving and were in constant communication. The apartment itself is in an excellent location, walkable to public transport and many restaurants/shops. The apartment is very well appointed with everything one might need for a quick trip, very clean and spacious. It was perfect for a business trip and I relished the comfortable bed at the end of the day. Highly recommend!

Absolutely perfect location in Adams Morgan! You will be in a quiet neighborhood with only a very short walk to reach the restaurants and activities that make Adams Morgan such an interesting and fun place. Accommodations in the apartment were all in great working shape.

I enjoyed my stay at this place. Location is great, and communication was excellent. It’s super close to the bus stop, and a 30min walk to Downtown. Great value for money especially during busy weeks in DC .

Location is great, tucked in a quiet neighborhood.
The apartment is basement level with 7 foot ceilings, which feels really cramped for a tall person like myself.
Overall the apartment is nicely updated and very clean.
Bed is worn, like most Air BNBs, but fairly comfortable.
Host is responsive. Power went out but host was able to restore it quickly. Internet was terribly slow but again host was able to fix it quickly.
